This Year's Model Updates:

Entry-level Sport model gets bigger wheels (16s versus last year's 15s) and all Durangos now have four-wheel disc brakes. Inside, you'll find a six-disc CD changer as a new option. A redesign is due for 2004.

Pros:
  • Strong V8 engines, smooth-shifting transmission, excellent ride quality, rugged good looks.
Cons:
  • Dismal gas mileage, dated design.

  • Needs update but still great - 2003 Dodge Durango

The Durango is a top SUV even though it needs to do a little catching up with Ford and GM. Redesign on the way should fix that and some. The fact that it still can stack up well shows a lot about how good a job Dodge did.

  • GOOD EXTERIOR!!! - 2003 Dodge Durango

VERY NICE TO DRIVE ON THE FREEWAY. SUPERVE EXTERIOR DESIGN-NOT TOO BULKY AND OR SQUARE. EASY MAINTENANCE ACCESS ON THE ENGINE. LOVE THE V8 POWER....

Looked at (and drove) the "big three" mid-size SUVs, and the Durango won out hands down. Didnt like the feel of the Explorer, and the T-Blazer looked pretty cheap inside. Plus, I REALLY liked the V8 power on the low-end. Tysingers was a dream to work with.

  • Nice truck - if its built right - 2003 Dodge Durango

THe 5.9L v-8 is powerful, and the truck moves fast even with 6 passengers and luggage. 3rd row seat is fairly comfortable although legroom is lacking, and theres room behind the third seat which is nice. However, we have needed to replace virtually the entire drive train and continue to have problems. Fortunately, the work was covered by warranty, but the continual problems just arent worth it.

  • Great truck and 0% financing - 2003 Dodge Durango

Good, reliable american truck. Does not have all the bells and wistels of some of the more pricy trucks out there but its got a solid V8 and lots of room. Great looking truck too. When you figure in the 0% financing its thousands less then anything close to the same size and power

this is my first brand new vehicle and i love it! i drove a 92 ford explorer and finally decided to go w/ the durango. as a single guy, the sxt is the way to go (i saved $3,500). i love the v8 engine and the smooth ride...very responsive to quick turns! i upgraded my seats to after-market leather and i feel like im riding first class everytime i sit in it!

  • Like this Ride - 2003 Dodge Durango

This is not my 1st SUV. This vehicle has a very responsive V8 and is a rear wheel drive that is made and designed to pull a trailer, haul passengers, and carry cargo. This SUV does what it was designed to do very competently with a very solid feel. I have pulled a 3200lb trailer with this SUV and was very pleased with the way it handled. This is NOT a small SUV, but a mid-size that competes very well with its larger rivals.
