Pros:
  • Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
Cons:
  • Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, spotty reliability on early models.

  • Great road car - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

This is a vehicle that is easy to enter and exit, for seniors who are tall. There are not many vehicles that are high off the ground that are not trucks. It has many refinements that make it a pleasure to drive, such as power everything. It is a great road car that is powerful and quiet. The door seals eliminate wind noise, and there is little road noise.

  • Great daily driver, pleasantly surprised - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

I leased this car 3 years ago and Im due to turn it in next August. I got a great deal on the lease and Im happy I got it. Its the very base model, no addons and its still plenty loaded. Power everything and keyless entry. The car has been fairly dependable. One of the tie rod ends failed and had a problem with the front passenger side airbag sensor. All fixed under warranty and the problem has not come back. The car is quiet to drive, has pretty good pickup and handles bumps in the ride just fine. Its not going to give race car performance around turns, but its also not a sports car. I would consider another one if the lease price was right. But its being discontinued...

The interior is beautiful and comfortable. The ride is smooth and quiet. You can have a conversation with the front seat passengers from the back seat-try that in a Honda Odyssey. The style is nice and the car accelerates and handles well.

  • 39 Month lease - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

I leased my 2005 Pacifica Limited in Dec 04 on a Chrysler 39 month lease. It’s due up in a few days and I am 100% satisfied with the Pacifica. There have been a few recalls but other than that… it has been flawless. The quality and drive have been great. I’ve owned and/or have driven most other makes and the Pac is equal to anything out there for the money. It stickered for around 38k so that puts in the same class as some Euro and upper Japanese makes which I think it is equal to in quality, fit, and finish. We have always felt safe (as safe as one can be on the road) in the Pac. Final thoughts. Great quality and safe car for a small to mid-sized family that likes to cruise in style.

  • I love my new car! - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

Im very pleased. As a parent, I love that this car is so safe and holds the road so well. It feels very solid. Ive only put about 5,000 miles on so far, including one longish trip, but every mile has been a delight! Its the perfect blend of sportiness, convenience, comfort, style. I had an Olds Bravada and a Subaru Outback before this (refuse to get a minivan!) and this is my favorite of the three.

  • I love It.. Drives like hgh end auto - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

I was looking for a vehicle that was an suv that I didnt need a ladder to get in. Drove a lot of the 2004 models, They all had the suv dumpy ride on the passenger side and back seats with the exception of the Acura and Cadillac. Lexus is far too small for more than 2 passengers until you go to their very high priced model, found that with most I tried. I didnt need or want all the bells and whistles except safety features i.e. air bags. The Pacifica Touring 2005 is perfect for me.

Don’t understand why people complain about gas mileage. THERE IS A HUGE STICKER on the window with HUGE numbers on it that shows the gas consumption. I don’t buy people’s complaining about it. You pretty much know what you are buying prior to close the deal. Want a better gas mileage? Buy a Honda Civic then. I love my Pacifica. Love everything it has. No complain as far how it handles, comfort, luxury, happy wife (that is what really counts). Only one thing to improve though: blind spot. Not a big deal for me. You get used to it after a few back-ups. No needs for sensor or anything, but I know that some people might need it.

Great overall vehicle and its not a mommy car, despite what some may think.

It has been over 10 years since I have had this much fun, driving a car. My husband purchased my Pacifica in Sep 04. He purchased the model which had all the options I wanted. The adjustable gas pedal allows me to drive with a safe distance between me and the driving wheel; the rear seats allowed my parents to ride comfortably on a long road trip-no leg cramps for my mother. My second favorite option is the liftgate-remote control, hands free. Comes in handy when shopping. Having the controls on the wheel has allowed me to keep my eyes on the road, while I adjust the volume or change CDs. Within 10 minutes of driving, my husband, the passenger, falls asleep. The Pacifica is a true joy

  • Replaced the Explorer/Use E.C. Rated Oil - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
    By -

Had WET battery replaced by the dealer five days after purchase with a "maintenance free" GEL battery by Chrysler. Every other component has worked as promised. Very pleased with this car. At 5,000 miles I Changed the oil to synthetic 10-30 Castrol SYNTEC Energy Conserving and have improved mileage from 15.5 to 17 for basic town trips. 22-23MPG depending on 65-70mph trips. Anything above 70mph will drop it down to 19-20mpg. Hauling 2,000lbs brings the mileage down to 15MPG. So far, this has outperformed the 97 "Full Time" 4x4 Eddie Bauer Explorer we had. It received 17MPG average with 18 max on the highway. Insurance is HALF! It handles better and does not wobble over a curb.
