Overview & Reviews
The Pacifica is an all-new six-passenger vehicle that combines the attributes of a wagon, minivan and SUV.
- Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
- Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, gets expensive when you add high-end options, fussy climate and radio controls.

BEWARE 2004 Pacificas - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica
By Dave Blair - July 8 - 9:10 amI am reasonably satisfied with the ride and comfort of this car but it is in reality an overweight, underpowered car with poor rear visibility, mediocre mileage, and poor reliability (early production 2004 model). It has the ever recurring belt squeal/whine noted on other early 2004 Pacificas. Repeatedly taken in for service to fix and never is fixed. Chrysler has offered a courtesy trade back for the purchase price less mileage adjustment BUT I must buy another similar product (from the same maker of my "lemon") and swap the "refund" to be applied to a new car at full MSRP. What a crock. Sell me a lemon and REQUIRE me to buy another potential lemon at full sticker. Chrysler stinks.

Love my Pacifica - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica
By carparts - July 6 - 10:00 amIt has been ten years since I had bought a car, so I was ready to get into something new. Believe me, I took my time in evaluating different vehicles, since I knew it may be awhile when I would buy another one. After taking the car back to work, my son saw it and immediately liked it. In fact, everyone liked it, and the more I showed it to people, the more I enjoyed it myself. By the end of my 24 hour test drive, I was completely sold that this was the vehicle for me.

I love my Pacifica! - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica
By klm7233 - June 20 - 12:08 pmMy 2004 pacifica has nearly 150000 miles on it. It has plowed through ice and snow. It responds quickly in tight situations. I have had several vehicles over the course of my life, and this is by far the best I have ever had. I was so disappointed when they discontinued the model.

All Purpose "Sleeper" - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica
By Clark - June 18 - 6:03 pmI just bought a used Pacifica AWD 2004 @ 38,000km and put-on 4,500 km in 8 weeks. Long distances feel as though the real time is halved due to the high level of driving comfort & sportiness. Stepping out of a vehicle without driving fatigue is a pleasure. No reliability problems to date and performance is acceptable for highway passing. I recommend a fully optioned Pacifica. A used buy is excellent value. It is too bad Chrysler mgmt. has not backed the higher priced Pacifica concept as it is an original design & quality build.

I couldnt ask for anything more! - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica
By bayareaboy2003 - June 11 - 10:00 amI was initially rather skeptical about this vehicle. I thought it might be another one of those gimmicky cars that would not live up to expectations. However, after comparing the Pacifica to several vehicles (new and used) I was convinced that this is the vehicle for my family. Im staying away from all of the trendy terms: SUV, Sport Tourer, Sport wagon... BLAH. Whatever you want to label it, it is just a great automobile, Period! See for yourself...

Good by Lexus RX - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica
By DVDRON - June 11 - 10:00 amI dont know what Ron from OR is talking about. The quality of my Pacifica is well above my old problem plagued RX 300. I think I smell a rat with Ron. Sales must be slow at the Japanese dealership he sells cars at. This thing is WONDERFUL!

Too Bad - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica
By SharonRanae - June 8 - 12:38 amI purchased my Pacifica used in Feb 09 with less than 60K miles. It is a super comfortable and roomy car. I like the way it handles & love the captains seats in the 1st & 2nd row & that there are vents in every row. Less than 20 days later it needs a motor mount broke. Took it back for the repair to find the part is on forever back order. I found one due to my own persistance. It is now June (not even 4 months since I bought the car) and it needs ANOTHER new motor mount, new tie-rods, sway arm bushings, blah blah! I havent had it 6 months and I am trading it in. Its too bad it has so many problems, I would love it! But I cant afford to rent a car every other month for weeks on end.

Big BUCKS in GAS - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica
By azsummer - May 24 - 10:00 amWe just purchased ours a few days ago, paid $34395 they sold us the extended warranty and gap insurance (dumb, right?). Paid 27355 before taxes, etc. Drives nice, stereo is OK, cloth SEATS GAVE US A RASH! We get about 7.7 miles to the gallon. NOT GOOD! We thought the mileage was better, we feel very angry, wish we could take it back because at 8 miles a gallon, its gonna cost a fortune to use! Its a mini van basically. Now I heard about a POWERTRAIN recall?? Whats that all about?? Its pretty though, but the stereo sucks. Seats itch, having the moonroof put in today - wish me luck!

Doesnt get estimate gas mileage - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica
By Hamlet1000 - May 24 - 2:00 amI like everything about the vehicle except the gas mileage. It is nowhere close to the advertised 17/23 city/hghwy mpg on the MSRP window sticker. More closer to 14.5/20.2. Inquired at dealer got unacceptable statement of that the "engine needs to break in". Thanks for insulting my intelligence, Chrysler. Called Corporate Headquarters to also be given the run around until I demanded a ticket be opened to investigate. The dealer stated Chrysler knows they have a problem. The question is will they do anything about it?
