This Year's Model Updates:

The regular wheelbase and all-wheel-drive Ventures are history, leaving the extended-length front-wheel-drive model as the sole option.

Pros:
  • Carlike ride and handling, power-sliding doors, eight-passenger seating option, available DVD entertainment system.
Cons:
  • Flimsy modular seats, poor interior fit and finish, ABS not standard, coarse engine character, mixed crash test results.

This has been a very dependable vehicle. I had to downsize from Suburbans I drove in the past so it was a real challenge at first. I have grown to appreciate saving money on gas, tires, and repairs.

Bought from a rental company with 50 K on it. Have put about 90 K on the vehicle myself. Not a single problem! The most reliable vehicle Ive ever owned.

Bought this van at 40,000 km. Now has 110,000 km. Absolutely no problems.

  • Vehicle crash - 2005 Chevrolet Venture

I had a side impact crash in January which is bad way to find out how safe this vehicle is. It was totaled, but I walked away without a scratch. I loved my first one, but went out and bought another one. The only difference is the color. I love this one and feel safe.

  • Wouldnt trade for anything! - 2005 Chevrolet Venture

I thought I would never own a mini-van that is until I was pregnant with my 3rd child! I love the convenience of getting kids in and out of their carseats without having to bend over (like in a car), or stand on your tip toes (like a truck). Kids love the DVD player. Great highway mileage, and goes great through the snow.

  • Well worth buying - 2005 Chevrolet Venture

Overall, its well worth its money. That same day I went into the Toyota dealer and walked out and Im glad I did and right into the Chevy dealership. Good on fuel, handles well, lots of space and the kids loved the DVD player.

  • I love my Chevy Venture - 2005 Chevrolet Venture

I love my Chevy Venture. I look forward to driving it everyday. Sometimes I even make up excuses to drive it!! My daughter loves all of the room inside and I love the many features it came with. I love the rear park aid and the homelink system that allows me to open my garage door with my van! No garage door opener! This is an excellent vehicle and so family friendly!

  • Love the Venture - 2005 Chevrolet Venture

This is my familys second Venture. I love this van. The most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. It has great features on it and it drives like a car. It drives well in the snow and rain. I have recommended this van to several people and I know that at least two of these people have bought one, and love it! The only thing that bugs me is that Chevy is replacing the Venture with the Uplander. I wish this vehicle was a comfortable and as drivable as the Venture. It is not! It seems to me if this is the vehicle that Chevy is using to replace the Venture, it should have been just as good or better then the Venture. I test drove this vehicle and although I loved its look, nothing else impressed me.
