The Tahoe gets a host of new upgrades for 2003. On the inside, you'll find new tri-zone climate controls, an enhanced driver-information center and a redesigned center console and instrument panel. New options includes second-row bucket seats and adjustable pedals. A revised lineup of entertainment options offers buyers a Bose audio system, as well as XM Satellite Radio and a DVD-based entertainment system. For increased safety, there are dual-stage airbags, a standard front-passenger-sensing system, three-point belts for all second-row passengers and an available StabiliTrak stability control system on Tahoes with the 5300 V8. The braking system has been upgraded for what Chevrolet says is better pedal feel and performance and Tahoes sold in California are now fitted with a new catalytic converter that earns the truck ULEV certification. Deleted items on the Tahoe are minor. No longer standard are third-row floor mats, an underhood light, a 7-to-4 pin trailer brake adapter, an auxiliary door lock switch in the cargo area and a lock for the center console.

Great Family Car - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
By hot mama - March 8 - 10:18 pmThis car has been a great car for our family. We put on a lot of miles traveling all over town and it is for the most part very reiliable. There has only been minor problems with some electrical in this car. like a light wont work one day but will the next. It is extremely comfortable. In 2003 there was no other SUV on the market this roomy or comfortable. We have a Z71 package with a TV and that has also been a great delight for our kids

Money Pit - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
By Kiki - January 12 - 5:32 pmI love my Tahoe, but I have had many problems with it. The intermediate shafts gone out twice. The actuator for the vent controls going out (will eventually lose control over where the a/c and heat come out). Speedometer cluster went out. Passenger windows getting slow. Steering wheel and driver door sqeak uncontrollably (door bolt costs $100 to fix). Chevy says actuator, intermediat shaft, and speedometer cluster problems are common in Tahoes with this body style. Not sure if Ill ever buy another one. All of the problems have been expensive and made me dislike the car that I once loved. Not worth the money. The new ones would have to be totally different for me to buy one.

Why Ill not own another U.S. SUV - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe

Replaced fuel pump, water pump, instrument cluster, (speedometer stopped working), replaced horn, engine gasket, steering problems. For a vehicle of this age and mileage these types of problems should not occur. Ill not own another Chevy. My next vehicle will be Japanese or German. U.S. auto makers need to make a more reliable vehicle if they want to compete.

By xxxxxx - September 14 - 10:00 am13000 miles, no problems, very comfortable with lots of power. Nice ride. tows a 8,000 lb boat without any problems. 18.5 mpg is better than my last Durango, but not by much.

Never buy a black Tahoe - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
By Bmore Charlie - August 3 - 10:00 amHard to keep clean. This is a very good handling vehicle with a smooth ride on good and bad roads. It has a few rattles that were repaired. The transmission failed at 24,000 miles and had to be torn down and repaired. The dealer said it was not something that has happened with Tahoes. It was repaired quickly and a loaner car provided. Great leather seats.

Tahoe - SUV for the Rockies - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
By Don Douglas - March 4 - 8:57 amBest vehicle I have ever owned. It is equally fitting for driving around town in Denver or taking the toughest incline in the Rockies. I love the power my wife loves the comfort. We recently drove from Denver to Houston and it was the most comfortable long trip I have ever taken in a vehicle. The only complaint is slightly squeaky brakes.

Bad Experience - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe

I am very dissapointed, because they even replaced my fuel pump when it wasnt even a year long..It is hard to belive that I am having this kind of problems with a new vehicle.
