This Year's Model Updates:

The Tahoe gets a host of new upgrades for 2003. On the inside, you'll find new tri-zone climate controls, an enhanced driver-information center and a redesigned center console and instrument panel. New options includes second-row bucket seats and adjustable pedals. A revised lineup of entertainment options offers buyers a Bose audio system, as well as XM Satellite Radio and a DVD-based entertainment system. For increased safety, there are dual-stage airbags, a standard front-passenger-sensing system, three-point belts for all second-row passengers and an available StabiliTrak stability control system on Tahoes with the 5300 V8. The braking system has been upgraded for what Chevrolet says is better pedal feel and performance and Tahoes sold in California are now fitted with a new catalytic converter that earns the truck ULEV certification. Deleted items on the Tahoe are minor. No longer standard are third-row floor mats, an underhood light, a 7-to-4 pin trailer brake adapter, an auxiliary door lock switch in the cargo area and a lock for the center console.

Pros:
  • Strong engines, roomy and versatile interior, numerous available amenities.
Cons:
  • Spotty build quality, interior materials could use improvement.

The 2003 is my 3rd Tahoe. The 2001 never went back to the dealership after I drove it off the dealers lot! I loved it.

This is my second Tahoe. My first was a 98 and I have passed it on to my daughter. We have had NO problems of any kind with either Tahoe. I do not know why anyone would buy any other SUV! My husband drives a Suburban and needs the extra room but we both really like to drive the Tahoe better, even though there is very little difference.

This vehicle has made this Grandmothers life so much easier to handle my grandson in and out of the car. The safety features are very important but the luxury features are awesome. Everything it at fingertip reach and it does so many functions automatically once it has been set. With the 3rd back seat down it is so easy to put cargo in the back with either the window up or the entire door. I recently took a business trip of over 350 miles and it was wonderful, from the ride to the music sound system. I will never own any other form of transportation. Thank you

It pulls my 21 foot boat with no problems. It handles the bumps in the road while towing better than my 2002 LT Tahoe. Pulls the boat out of water on slippery boat ramps with little to no problem. Only problem is that it is very difficult to add after market items (ie) XM radio. After three tries finaly got it right. Other than that I love it

This is my forth Tahoe...every two years I get a new one and i will never switch! They drive great, have lots of room, and are very luxurious. They really go through gas, but it is worth it!

We hadnt initially considered the Yukon/Tahoe. However, when the salesman pointed out to us that the regular sized Tahoe was actually shorter than the XL, and had the third row removable seats, we took a look. We could not justify the price difference in the Yukon, so went with the 4WD, LS with the small V-8. It drives like a dream. Overall we are averaging 17.2 MPG. We only need the towing power 4-5 times a year to haul our pop-up camper. This SUV is just a real joy to drive. For what we paid for it, and all the std features, would be hard to find something any better to suite our needs.
