Overview & Reviews
Apparently last year's big power increase wasn't quite enough; the Chevy SSR gets another horsepower increase for 2006, though this time it's only a minor 10-hp blip for a total of 400 hp. The rest of the truck remains unchanged, save for a new two-tone exterior paint option, a new chrome trim package and expanded dealer-sourced accessories.
- Quick-folding convertible hardtop, street rod style, aggressive exhaust note, comfortable seats.
- Seats only two yet weighs nearly 5,000 pounds, costs almost as much as a Corvette.

Sweet street rod - 2006 Chevrolet SSR
By Beach potato - October 25 - 10:23 amLots of smiling driving in Fla. with the top down. The exhaust is throaty and has a neat gurgle. Fast as I need. Only problem is Goodyear quit making the tire and the wheel and it wont accept a lot of other makes due to profile. Aqua Blur paint job gets a lot of compliments.

Mcrdstr - 2006 Chevrolet SSR
By Mcrdstr - June 27 - 6:52 pmTop rattles at the hint of a bump in the road. Body metal is so thin you could dent it while polishing. Cab is too small for my six foot two 250 pound body . Air screen blocks rear vision. Cannot see front fenders when parking. The only way to see them is get out of truck.
