  • Cute, but glad I got the warranty - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu

I researched for about two months before purchasing my 2004 Chevy Malibu. I found the Malibu to be the best fit for me, a traveling college bound student. The car its self handles very well and I always have fun driving it. The fuel economy isnt the greatest, at 23 mpg, but not worth complaining about. Shortly after I bought it, I realized the windshield wiper fluid didnt work when the button was pushed and the seat didnt work. Im having issues with it starting slowly. Although Im not sure if this is do to the car, or the Cleveland cold weather. My sister got stuck in the passenger side because the door wouldnt open from the inside. Great car, but Im glad I got the warranty.

Just got my wife the car she wanted thus which was the 04 malibu..and all I can say is that its real great. I own a CTS and the malibu isnt as performance orented but it does its well in comforting the passenger with its superb ride and quiet enterior. When i bought the car I took it to a custom shop where I got new 18" ACR Black rims. carbon fiber front light attachments. Black stiching on the seats, a dvd and xenon bulbs. and the car looks even greater all i spend was 23 gran for the car and 2 grand for the interior and light modifacations in the shop..GREAT CAR CHEVY!!

Ive had my new Malibu for 4 days. I traded in a 1998 Malibu with 104,000 miles. So far, it has been a delight to drive the car. The car is totally different from the 98. I cannot believe that Chevrolet can deliver a car with so many extras for $21,000. The owners manual could be a little more clearer as far as the electronics. Because the car is so new, the dealer had trouble figuring out how to program an extra key. It finally took 10 seconds to program the extra key; one downside - I cannot believe that an extra key costs $61.00.

The car is really peppy with the V-6. Absolutely LOVE the remote start feature on the cold winter mornings.

Due to the Malibu starting intermittently, the PCM had to be replaced. After only three weeks of ownership I am no longer confident in my vehicle, (or the entire line). Unlike myself you may want to do your homework before purchasing a new Malibu. Judging from my problems (and other consumers, it appears that the Malibu has electrical problems.

I have had the new Malibu for a little over a month now and could not be more pleased. This car is the best that Chevrolet has offered since the rear wheel drive Impala SS. I bought the car for my wife, but I find myself driving the car a lot more than I thought I would. Import/European style, qualty and safety not previously available from Chevrolet.

The 2004 malibu is incredible, i owned a 2001 and traded it in, the most amazing piece of machinery i ever seen, the power of the V6 really kicks and you can seriously feel the 200 HP in the engine, i admit the price to pay for the car was high, but the room, look and color interior really styles a malibu, not to mention the amazing 23 mpg i acheive only in street driving. its not 100% economy, but i recommand this car to anyone who seeks sport with refinement.

Bought the car new in 2004, and have had very little trouble with it. Around 22,000 miles, i had to replace the brakes, tires, and Chevy took care of the tie rod ends (good on them, as it was abought 2 months out of warranty). Other than that, no real issues. Sometimes the alternator light comes on when I accelerate hard, but only for a second or two. Gas mileage is great, I put a K&N air filter in it and get regularly 35+ mpg on the highway, better than most 4 cylinders I have driven.
