Overview & Reviews
The midsize Malibu has been totally redesigned for 2004. It now rides on an entirely new vehicle platform and offers a more powerful V6 along with must-have safety features like side curtain airbags and adjustable pedals.
- Balanced ride and handling characteristics, plenty of passenger and cargo space, ample safety and convenience features, innovative remote start feature.
- Down on power compared to its competitors, lackluster interior, no manual transmission available.

Love my Malibu! - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu
By KayW - June 9 - 2:00 amI have had my Malibu for a full month now and am loving every second of it. I have never owned a Chevy prior to this purchase and am really glad I bought this one. What a beauty of a car, inside and out. Ive received many compliments about the looks of it and I feel very safe driving it too.

Economy plus great handling - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu
By tao - March 23 - 10:46 amAfter almost 3 years with this car, I am very pleased with it. I enjoy the handling and the zippy V-6, which gets over 30 mpg on the highway. It is chock-full of features, such as side- curtain airbags, all of which were much more expensive on import competitors.

A Lot of Car for the Money - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu
By spud90 - March 15 - 2:00 amA truly "American" car. Plenty of power from the V6 and a quiet, roomy interior. This car is built for the freeway rather than hairpin curves. Just set the cruise control at any sane or relatively insane speed and those interstate miles quickly melt away. The electric power steering offers very little feedback and the suspension is somewhat soft, although I always felt in control of the vehicle.

Chevy Malibu 2004 - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu
By MJH - March 8 - 2:00 amGood American built vehicle - it is about time. Hopefully it will holdup over the long term as well as it is now.

Superb car! - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu
By jpiemont - March 8 - 2:00 amThe redisigned Malabus are great, as long as you get the bigger V-6 engine. The extra features are great too, like remote starter on a cold day and the way the seat fold down.

I like the Malibu. - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu
By Aaron Ferley - March 8 - 2:00 amI like the style and feel of this car. It turns and drives nicely. Love the gas mileage this vehicle gets (better than the camary). It also has a very quite ride. Overall a very good car.
