Overview & Reviews
The Malibu gets little in the way of upgrades for 2003. There are two new colors to choose from -- Summit White and Medium Gray Metallic -- and a new seat fabric on LS models. ABS brakes are now optional on base models, but remain standard on the LS.
- Comfortable and roomy interior, low price, ample feature content.
- Poor expected resale value, not as refined as top-selling Japanese family sedans.

Need to fix wheel bearings - 2003 Chevrolet Malibu
By Melissa Sutherland - August 16 - 4:37 amI love the car in general. Good gas mileage, great factory stereo system, very reliable. I travel a lot, so I love that I can rely on it. My only complaint is Ive only had the car a year and had to replace 2 wheel bearings. Otherwise its a great car.

My first car - 2003 Chevrolet Malibu
By Mikey - April 13 - 12:13 pmIt was a great car , I bought it in 2009 with 120k on it I was 16 when I bought it, it was actually in a previous accident and was reconstructed but looked brand new, I never had a problem with any type of engine work or anything, I did get in a accident with it when I was 18 but I got it fixed and it was fine the only trouble I had with the car was electronic issues like my tail lights were always going out and getting me pulled over and always had to mess with the word and get new tail lights, but I had the car intill I was 22 and had to get rid of it for financial issues. But I would definitely buy another one!

Quality and Design of the 2003 Malibu - 2003 Chevrolet Malibu
By jeklv - August 5 - 2:00 amMy wife and I bought our 2003 Malibu last September. After driving a G20 conversion van for 10 years, it took some getting used to driving a smaller vehicle. But, after that initial adjustment period, we are very happy with our new Malibu. The build quality, appearance, and performance are top notch, and the car is a lot of fun to drive. I highly recommend this car to anyone who is looking for a high quality, mid-size, family sedan.

A very good car - 2003 Chevrolet Malibu
By Pianoman - June 29 - 2:00 amI have no complaints except the fuel economy of this car. We have had it for a year now and I dont think I could find much better. We purchased the car at 12000 miles for $8900. We feel we literaly stole the car!

Impala - 2003 Chevrolet Malibu
By JeffGreer1 - June 7 - 2:00 amWe have been pleasantly surprised by this automobile. The trip mileage is consistently 35 miles per gallon. Much better than we expected for a car this size.

Is it a Malibu or Lexus - 2003 Chevrolet Malibu
By DonnaTops - December 30 - 2:00 amValet runners frequently say that my Gold Package Loaded Black LexusS with sunroof is just outside the door. Chevrolet has made a great car with luxury styling at a super low price. A Best Value.

2003 chevy malibu - 2003 Chevrolet Malibu
By goochmamax2 - December 24 - 2:00 amIts a great car. I love it. It is my first brand new car. I really wanted a 2001 malibu, but they told me that I couldnt get that. That I had to buy new. I was very excited but the payments are a killer. I think I could of got a better car for the price I am paying a month.
