This Year's Model Updates:

Changes for the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette consist of an enlarged glovebox, added sound insulation, the addition of bigger brakes with cross-drilled brake rotors for the Magnetic Ride Control option, and the availability of new two-tone leather seating with embroidered accents. Two special editions debut as well: an Indy Pace Car convertible and a Ron Fellows Z06, the latter inspired by a successful Corvette driver in the American Le Mans series.

Pros:
  • World-class performance at bargain pricing, daily-driver livability, excellent ergonomics, very good build quality.
Cons:
  • Cockpit lacks pizzazz and has too much hard plastic, ultra-performance Z06 looks too similar to standard Corvette.

I picked up the car and drove it 350 miles back home. I was very suprised how quiet and comfortable the car was. The performance is out of this world. The car pulls so hard and builds speed so quickly. It has a suprisingly comfortable ride. I have owned many sports cars and this not only was the greatest value, but the greatest all around car.

  • 65 Stingray + 40 yrs to 2007 Coupe - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

C6, 3LT, chrome wheels, paddle shift, Monterey red, Nav. Life is good! The interior and exterior are excellent. Build quality is much better than I had expected from previous reviews. Got the cashmere interior and Lloyd floor and trunk mats. After 40 years (65 Stingray) and a couple dozen new cars, it is good to be back in a Corvette that drives and rides as good as my last Lexus LS430 and prior to that SC430. Speed, style and comfort.

  • 07 Coupe - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

Just took delivery of an 07 coupe, Lemans Blue, casmere interior, LT3, chrome wheels, magnetic suspension and NAV system. My first Vette, never had a sports car before so I cant compare it. I am still in shock that I have it, only 300 mi. in two days, no problems yet. It is everything and more that I hoped for. Interior is fantastic and comfy, the leather sport seats are excellent. The car is so classy without being in your face. I already have had so many strangers both young, old, male and female comment and want to know about it. It blows my mind. I dont know if they upgraded the quality of the interior for 07, but it looks and feels first class to me. Buy one, you wont regret it.

Absolutely the best bang for your buck. Considering the fact its competetion are thousands away. Porsche and Dodge are still great cars, but for all it is worth the Vette Z06 is the true American Sports Car. A legend still adding rights!

  • Z06 whats not to like - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

I am 63 years old and have driven performance cars most of my life. I was and still am a Ford guy, however! owning this car is not like my mustangs faster than your camaro. This is a whole different arena. This thing is a beast, pure and simple its made to look good and back it up. I have had compliments from import, mopar, and ford guys on how nice this car is. It does sit low so for an old fat man it is a little difficult but not bad. This car gets 27 mpg on the highway and around 18 in town if I keep my foot out of it. It will stop on a dime and give you 9 cents change. When you hit the warp pedal all I can say is man what a ride. I have no regrets owning this car. If you are thinking about getting one do it you wont be sorry.

  • Purchased But Not Pursuaded - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

Purchased a 2007 Corvette Coupe. Still getting used to this car. Traded in a 2015 Camaro V6 for it. With no warranty other than a 30 day/1000 mile transmission warranty, feel somewhat walking on thin ice. Took car in for oil change. Oil seeping around oil pan. It turned into a $900 job by the time all was said and done. Shortly after, I noticed the front quarter panel was sticking out, no longer attached to the frame. Tab connecting panel to the body was broken and duct tape was hanging down on the ground. Took vehicle back to place of purchase and showed them my findings. Car went to body shop for repair. No charge. As for the car itself, its a vette, plain and simple. Repairs are expensive, parts are expensive, anything that says Vette on it is expensive. Still, its a corvette. BASED ON REPAIR COSTS AND MAINTENANCE COSTS, I CAN I EXPECT $1,000 MINIMUM CHARGE FOR BRAKES, TIRES, A/C UNIT, TORQUE BEARING ETC... If I had the opportunity to do it over again, Id choose to get a 2008 or newer and automatic. Stay away from convertibles and not interested in a track car. This purchased car is a daily driver and I enjoy driving the standard, after all, it is a muscle car, still, Im an older guy and driving over speed bumps everyday just to get to the main road sucks. Overall, the the 2007 Z51 3LT has many advanced features that are credit worthy. Its a beautiful car and deserves to be run. "Drive it like you own it (or as my wife says, "Drive it like you stole it."...and enjoy the ride!!! There are those are on the road that wish they had a Vette and there are those who drive a Vette. Cheers.

  • The ultimate road car - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

The greatest deal in sports car history! highly fuel efficient combined with superior perfromance. 26 to 28 mpg on highway at 80 mph plus speeds...mid 11 quarters at over 124 mph, amazing!

Bought the car new off showroom for sticker. Read the reviews in various magazines and not disappointed. Improved the car for open road racing. Ive have speed tested (9 y/o car) to 191mph and still had more left, but running at 5600ft altitude. The LS7 engine isnt hard to get extra horsepower with a modest investment. Car has been solid and really not may repairs, and thats with 57,000 miles and still manages to get 25mpg on the road. There is nothing in that price range for the performance you get. This is my 3rd Vette. Just recently ran my 5th open road race (Silver State) much of it over 160mph without any problems. Thats performance engineering. Recently had to replace fuel sensor. Apparently happens frequently at 62000miles. Some squeaks and rattles developed by not to bad. Just campaigned the car in the Silver State Classic in the 155mph class without any problems. The air conditioning compressor will need replacement so took off belt. Drove the car back home some 2200 miles with a combined mpg of 30+, now thats economy!

  • 4th ZO6 since 2001..Now Ive got a 2009 ZO6 CSR ED - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette
    By -

Highway Fuel economy at 80+ mph is really great considering the engine size, performance and car overall, just drove 4- 400+ mile trips back to back and averaged 26.3 mpg. If you dont mind a 6 speed for everyday driving, this car really has it all! Oil temp only runs around 162 degrees during high speed highway driving (in Texas during the summer). The older ZO6 (2001,2002,2004) that I had during the same trip at the same speeds ran up to 220 degrees+. Advise..Change all your fluids at the scheduled intervals and dont skimp...the car will run trouble free indefinately. Tires are probably the most expensive but have come down drastically over the last 4 years.. This car is really worth a look if you want a vehicle that will out run 96% of cars on the road today, is a great value, if you buy used really doesnt depreciate much, cost of ownership minimal

  • Corvette has blistering speed - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

Car is nice. Though its a base model, corvettes have a lot of whistles and bells. Its rather an oxymoron term, since you would assume its a stripped model, when its actually fully loaded. Power 6 way seats include power lumbar and power side bolster in seats. Lots of power. On average im getting 22 to 23 mpg. On road trip using cruise control I got 29mpg with mild launches, so its great. Ive wanted vette for 30 years and it finally became a reality. I enjoy every time the car turns on.
