The North Face package is no longer offered, but an electronic stability control system is now available as part of the Z66 Premium On-Road Suspension package. Hydroboost brakes are now standard on all 1500 series Avalanches and the optional 8.1-liter V8 is now rated at 320 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque.

By CherryChevys - June 28 - 10:14 amHavent had any problems out of it except for the HVAC control door. I still get heat and a/c, but it comes out of the windshield defrostor vent.

By melven mikell - June 11 - 10:00 amoverall i love my vehicle. sometimes it clicks and makes a few extra sounds that my car that i drove before did not make. the truck i test drove did the same thing so without any problem i have to assume thats normal. i love my chevy pickup and so does my kids.

Best Ive Owned - 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche
By Sherry - June 7 - 7:53 pmLeased this truck for work - I wasnt sure if Id want to keep it long term. I drove it and bought it! Ive stayed on the road during horrendous winter weather using only the stock tires. Hauled drywall, flooring, sod, dirt, rock, garbage - you name it - and it comes clean and looks great for the daily commute. With gas prices rising Ive been thinking I should look at something cheaper to run but I dont want to - this is the best vehicle Ive owned/driven in 30 years.
