The North Face package is no longer offered, but an electronic stability control system is now available as part of the Z66 Premium On-Road Suspension package. Hydroboost brakes are now standard on all 1500 series Avalanches and the optional 8.1-liter V8 is now rated at 320 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque.

  This truck rides like a dream! I have found no other brand of truck that rides as smooth and quiet. Everyone who has been a passenger in this vehicle is extremly surprised at the quality of the ride. People find it hard to believe its a truck!

  The versatility of the truck is unmatched. I have been able to use two tiered hauling, filling the area under cargo panels and then stacking an equal amount of weight and stuff on top. I can haul 2 yards of mulch in the back, hose it off and go out to a nice dinner that night.

  I have put over 65,000 miles on my Avalanche in two and a half years. The only problem was that the tailgate latch broke. On the highway I get between 18 and 21 MPG even on the 75 MPH interstates. I have hauled 12 ft. 2x12s inside with the tailgate closed. The bed cover is secure yet easy to remove. In short it is a GREAT vehcle with multi-talents.

  I must say I love this truck. It rides like a big American sedan not a truck. But it is all truck and will carry anything. Only problem I had was the front driver’s window got stuck down from ice build up. GM replaced window regulator. Power steering box was replaced, not a common problem.

  Ive owned my Burnt Orange (okay Sunset Metalic) Z66 for a little over 1 1/2 years now and have about 15,000 miles on it. It rides and handles just fine. And for a big truck the mileage is good. 14-15 mpg city and 17- 18 mgg highway. The popping noise in the front end is a bit disconcerting. But will take it in to my dealer for a fix.

  The most comfortable, good looking, safe, rides like a dream and handles that way. The best vehicle I have ever owned, Honda must think so, they copied the style for their new truck. I have not had one problem with this Avalanche.MPG is 18.1 city 22.9 HWY Thats a fact.

  As a long time P/U owner, this adds luxury while keeping some P/U utility. The leather, sound, programables, etc. all make the Av. comfortable and fun to operate.

  THE G.M SHOULD HAVE A STYLE SET FOR THE Z 65 AND THE Z 71 MODELS THEY WILL COME WITH A TYPE OF PACKEGS SET UP SAME TYPE OF FENDERS AND THE OUY SIDE THE SAME AND THE INTIRIOR I HAD A 2003 KIA SORENTO E.X AND THEY COME ALL THE SAME AND THE L.X WAS DIFFERENT, BUT WE ARE VERRY HAPPY WITH THE AVALANCH I NEVER THOUTH IT WAS GOING TO BE SO COMFTERBALL THANK YOU ARI DELGADO
