This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Cadillac STS sees a couple of hardware changes. A six-speed automatic transmission debuts on V8 versions, and the Performance Handling Package adopts Brembo brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport tires and 18-inch chrome wheels. In addition, the wheels now feature a colored wreath and crest, and the powertrain warranty is extended to five years/100,000 miles.

Pros:
  • Full-size luxury car at a midsize price, nimble road feel for this size of car, powerful engine options, available all-wheel drive, optional Bose stereo is one of the best in its class.
Cons:
  • Sporty bucket seats might be too firm for some, some plastic interior panels not quite up to German standards, only automatic transmissions available.

  • not so good - 2007 Cadillac STS

I have enjoyed leasing this caddy. I was so happy the day I picked up. Over the past 3 years the car has had some problem. There was about 4 recalls. I wore a hole through the driver side carpet. The outside chrome has come off. Gas tank lid spring broke. Knobs on the dash have worn off. I only avg 14 mpg. A bit under powered. Trunk and back seat way too small. The rims bust up very easy. Had to replace 2 of them in the past 2 years. The plus is the car looks great and does have a smooth ride. After driving the car for 3 years I would never buy one. Its just not a well made car for a stick price of $54,000.

I leased this car, and within the first year, the car was in the shop for over 30 days! It was first a recall, then rattles in the trunk that took three tries to fix, then a blown speaker, then Homelink failures. Unbelievable! I was never offered anything for my troubles by the dealer or GM. Bottom line, I traded for a 2008 335i BMW sedan and could not be happier. BMW offers so much more for the money. Imagine that, a BMW more affordable and a better value than a Cadillac!! The original list on the Caddy was $65,000, and it wholesaled after I traded it in for $25000, and only after 13 months!!
