Although the Escalade remains basically unchanged, there are a few upgrades to the standard equipment list and how some optional equipment can be configured. XM Satellite Radio, a tire-pressure monitoring system, second-row bucket seats and a tow package are all now standard equipment, while a sunroof can now be ordered in conjunction with the rear-seat DVD entertainment system. Blue Chip, Quicksilver and Red E are new exterior colors.
- Endless power from V8, plush ride quality, feels nimble around turns, comfortable seats, plenty of cargo capacity, all the latest technological gadgets, best-in-class towing capacity.
- Poor mileage, a few noticeable instances of cost cutting, must pay a premium to get the big engine.

the rebadged tahoe - 2004 Cadillac Escalade
By surferdad292 - April 6 - 2:00 amthe escalade is a pretty nice car but its nothing more than a rebadged tahoe. I sort of regret buying it because theres almost no difference in the interior, exept the wood grain that looks like it was from a vehicle from the 80s or something.also, the plastic and leather dont seem to be up to the 50k standard. in other words, the interior should be more refined and differentiated from the tahoe, like the navigator is from the expedition.Also, this vehicle needs to lose the ugly column shifter. The 285 hp v8 is slow. this vehicle should just come with the 340 hp engine.

Big & Smooth - 2004 Cadillac Escalade

This is my 14th SUV since 1972, and although I loved my old K5 Blazers, Jimmies, Broncos, Expeditions and one Yukon, nothing comes remotely close to the smoothness of this truck.This is what luxury is all about.

Fir some reason, kids love this truck! There isnt a day that goes by that a kid will stop and stare at the car.(Id like to say it was me they were staring at, but its not!) The truck runs well. I havent had any mechanical problems with it.IT LOVES TO EAT FUEL.

By Rocket scientist - March 7 - 2:00 amSwitched from a Dodge Durango and this vehcile is far superior and worth the money. The AWD is smooth and quiet and the vehicle handles well and has great power. The gas mileage on the highway is supringly good although it doesnt do that well in town.

VERY SAFE!!!The ride is totally perfection. Gas mileage is better than one expects with a V8. No matter where the location...No problem with durablity on rural country roads or the daily commute. The dealership service makes you feel special.

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED - 2004 Cadillac Escalade
By Demetry - March 6 - 2:00 amI did not intend to purchase an Escalade. After driving it and thoroughly comparing it with Navigator and Mercedes, I can honestly say it is a the best of the three. The only negative problem I have had has been some rattling, unavailability of rear cargo mat and lack of storage room when the thrid row seats are in place. I would purchase another one.

Best hunt, fish, farm cadillac ever - 2004 Cadillac Escalade

It runs like a Corvette, rides like a Cadillac and I have never been stuck. I love this vehicle for rough use during the day and smooth comfort after hours. Thanks Cadillac for my favorit 4 wheel drive in the 32 years I have owned 4 wheel.
