Who woulda thought -- a Buick SUV? More accurately, the Rendezvous is one of a new breed of crossover vehicles that combines the look and utility of an SUV with the comfort of a touring car. The Rendezvous is based on the Pontiac Aztek, itself based on GM's minivan family consisting of the Chevrolet Venture, Pontiac Montana and Oldsmobile Silhouette.

• Available third-row seat that folds flush with the load floor, independent rear suspension, optional rear parking assist.

• Down on power compared to the competition, minimal off-road capability.

  It is a great SUV, that met all of my needs. It drives like a luxury sedan, is AWD, has seating for 7 (like my previous van) and is at a good price point.

  We continually amazed at the ride and tight turning radius. Very comfortable. We get tons of compliments. The RDV is really catching on in our city. The 8 speaker sound system is quite good. Have heard numerous comments about being underpowered. I used to think that as well. Now I believe if it is, its very slight. Great vehicle. High Polished wheels are beautiful.

  After a long and extensive search, we settled on the Buick Rendezvous. It is smooth, plenty powerful, and has lots of room. I am 66" and I have more headroom than in my Crown Victoria. The vehicle is solid and rides beautifully. While it may not be the best looking vehicle on the road, all the kids in the neighborhood think the car is pretty cool!

  Great performance on highway however, it struggles on mild to medium hills. Great solid ride; wonderful speakers. Uncomfortable front seat head rests.

  I rented this car over christmas and drove from Dallas to Nashville. Outstanding millage and performance. So much room for luggage. Very comfortable. You need to try this out!!

  We have been very impressed with the price point and the quality of this car. It was well thought out and very user friendly. We have the captain chairs for the second row and highly recommend that configuration for baby seats.

  Thus far (2500 mi) flawless. Styling similar to Lexus. Feels luxurious. Spacious inside with very flexible easy to maneuver seating for 7. Seats fold easily. Low step in make it easy to get in and out of. Hnadles and rides like a car. I tend to keep it in Drive 3 in the city to keep shifting to a minimum (only 185 HP). Acceleration is adequate. Ride is quiet at all speeds. Great gas mileage (avgng 22) for a vehicle of its size.

  Owned our 2002 Rendezvous CXL for a year and haven’t been happier with a new car; a magnificent combination of sedan and van. We have limited “off road needs”. We have comfortable, spacious transportation needs, and the Rendezvous excels in that. We often carry 7 grown people in comfort. My wife would almost rather drive it than our 2000 LeSabre. Some say it is underpowerd, I say, “Balderdash!” I have safely, quickly, and smoothly accelerated to 85 mph when passing. Versatrak got a workout this winter. It’s great Buick has hit a home run with this. A magnificent design and it is reasonably priced!

  AT FIRST I THOUGHT THE LOOK WAS FUNNY, BUT IT IS SO DIFFERENT IT GROWS ON YOU. IT HANDLES BEAUTIFULLY. STEERING IS SEMI-LUXURY, I LOVE THIS PART. HAVENT HAD IT LONG BUT AM IMPRESSED SO FAR WITH GAS MILEAGE AND FEATURES. ONCE INSIDE IT HAS A LARGER APPEARANCE AND EXCEPTIONAL ROOM. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE SEATS COMFORT AND THE RIDE IS A PLUS ON LONG TRIPS.IT HAS MORE THAN ENOUGH POWER TO GET UP AND GO WHEN NEEDED.BUT COULD TAKE THE ROAD BUMPS SOFTER,HAS A TENDENCY TO BOTTOM OUT.
