Overview & Reviews
The big news for 2003 is the late-fall arrival of the 760Li, which combines all the greatness of the 745 while adding a 6.0-liter V12. BMW has not released U.S. output ratings, but European specs have it at 408 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. The more interesting aspect of the 760Li is that it's the first BMW with direct gasoline injection, which, in combination with the Valvetronic technology already used in the 745 models, allows for stellar performance, and according to BMW, "outstanding fuel economy." We'll wait and see on that one. In other news, all models get rear head-protection airbags, and Active Cruise Control finally makes it to the options list, along with run-flat tires. The Rear Comfort Seat package for the 745Li now includes rear-seat ventilation.
- Superb driving dynamics, highly advanced technology, dizzying array of features, sumptuous furnishings.
- Toys can be distracting from the task at hand, confusing secondary controls, odd styling details.

Driving Excellence - 2003 BMW 7-Series
By BobnNan - August 15 - 2:00 amThis is our first BMW and we really love it. We previously drove a 1998 Jaguar VDP and while it was a good performer it lacked comfort and was totally useless in the snow. Before purchasing the 745Li we looked at the new Jaguar XJ and the Mercedes S500. I liked the style of the Jag and the Mercedes better than the BMW but for handling, features and comfort the BMW came out leaps and bounds ahead. So far it has been a great driving experience!

Concerned over interior. - 2003 BMW 7-Series
By JJR919 - August 3 - 2:00 amThe 735I in grey insisde has problems with the plastic trim on the doors. The color peeled of for no aparent reason. I recomend any new buyer to pay for the extra special fornt seats. The standard seats are not as comfortable and the hight of the head rest cannot be regulated at will. The car drives beautiful even at very high speeds 120mph+. However, I nted it has a tendency to skid in very tight curves, the type you found in European mountains.

So Much Fun!! - 2003 BMW 7-Series
By UTFan - July 23 - 2:00 amThe car is unbelievably fun to drive. Handles beautifully. We have had some problems getting our phone to work. Been back to the dealer 3 times and still are having problems. The other problem is that the vehicle is so fun to drive that I do not care about the phone situation. VERY fast and handles VERY well...and oh the looks that it gets. I am afraid that we are going to cause an accident.

nice beamer - 2003 BMW 7-Series
By Daniel Edrei - July 17 - 2:00 amThis is a luxury sedan that thinks its a two seater italian job. Handles like a dream. The only indication you will feel that you are turning a hairpin at 60 is your hair flipping sides. Pick up like a jet liner. Super high tech in the most ergonomical fashion imaginable. The manual clutchless transmission on I had a 740 before my quarter-to- eight and it doesnt even remotely compare. Did I mention Im impressed.

Great Car - 2003 BMW 7-Series
By MikieV - July 3 - 2:00 amWith 8 months and 14K miles on my 03 745LI I must say that this car is still growing on me. I have not had even a little problem develop-the car has been flawless. It is a thrill to drive. Its hard to imagine a better sedan - except for a 760 which might be my next car when this lease is up. IDrive is now second nature for me but it did take about 3 months to get totally used to it.
