The BMW 3 Series coupe returns for 2007 with a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine and a sleek new body that puts more aesthetic distance between it and the sedan. Rated for 300 horsepower, that twin-turbo engine also finds its way to the 2007 BMW 3 Series sedan line, where the 330i becomes the 335i but still displaces an even 3.0 liters. Now rated for 230 hp, base 3 Series coupes, sedans and wagons are renamed 328i and, when equipped with all-wheel drive, 328xi. Note that the coupe and wagon can be had in both rear-drive and AWD configurations this year. Equipment changes include a lengthened four-year subscription to BMW Assist telematics on cars with the Premium Package and real-time traffic updates on models with the navigation system. Midway through the model year, BMW introduces a redesigned 3 Series convertible with a retractable hardtop, and an all-wheel-drive 335xi sedan.

Sports car with 4 doors - 2007 BMW 3-Series
By BMW fan - June 14 - 2:29 amAmazing handling! This is like driving a true sports car, but it has 4 doors and seating for 5. Mine has the sport package, which firms up the ride, but makes for great handling and flat cornering, and still is pretty smooth. I thought that I would miss the power of the 335, but the 328 is pretty fast, and gets much better mileage than the 335 (Ive gotten between 22-30 mpg so far). I love the sport mode with the auto transmission shifts happen faster and hold the gear longer.

By buckeyede06 - June 4 - 7:01 pmI never believed all the hype till I took it home. A test drive is nice but you dont get the feel for the car till a few long trips in it. After a few hours on he road, i really started to appreciate the subtleness in its perfect handling! It handles and performs just like they say! Plus it is so sleek and stylish of a car!

Love the 3 series - 2007 BMW 3-Series
By David - April 13 - 9:14 amI recently had to downsize from 07 X5 and I have to say, I am happy that I did. The gas mileage is great, the car control feel like you are on rails, interior is very comfortable (sport package seats, highly recommend). The amount of power is amazing for such a small car. Overall, I very happy with the car and will continue being a dedicated BMW consumer.

CPO 3 Series - 2007 BMW 3-Series
By Steve - February 25 - 7:42 pmBought this car with 35k on it in November of 09. It was CPOed and I really believe that is the way to go. So far, the reliability has been great, as I drive 110 miles round trip to work everyday. This is my first bimmer with many, many more to come.

I would buy another one - 2007 BMW 3-Series
By Mike in Rosenberg,TX - February 15 - 9:46 pmI have now owned this car for almost 3 yrs. I love the way the car drives and the speed/acceleration. It drives best in the sports mode - giving you plenty of torque to accelerate. I have driven it regularly over 80 miles per hour and rides great. 24 miles per gallon has been my mileage. I love the blue tooth. Speakers could be better so upgrade. Leather seats have worn and need warranty work as other have mentioned. I have had no problems with the car. Service is great at the dealer. Run flats I still am undecided. I have had a nail in three of them and when I went to dealer they wanted to replace tires at almost 300 each. I just had a tire repair shop plug each tire for 5 bucks each.

Best bimmer yet - 2007 BMW 3-Series
By Matt - January 2 - 10:28 pmI leased a 328i in March 07 after owning, in succession, a 90 325is & 99 323i. I loved the previous vehicles, but this car is the best Ive ever had. This car without the sport package hugs the road better than my previous vehicles that had the sport suspension. The added interior room is also a big plus. Ive had no problems with the run flats and the ride has always been very smooth. I went with an automatic for the first time and I use the clutchless manual exclusively for better performance and fuel economy. Long term I expect it too costly to maintain (as has been my experience), but its been solid thus far.

It even handles Michigan winters without all-wheel drive.This car inspires complete confidence on the road. This is my third BMW and the most competent all-round car I have owned in 40 years. I am now a total BMW convert.

BMW 328i: better than youd expect. - 2007 BMW 3-Series
By Greg - December 15 - 3:51 pmIve only owned this car for about 7 months, but I can assure you its been a privilege. The inline 6 provides plenty of power with surprisingly-quick acceleration, yet very efficient. It seems to have a perfect balance of highway comfort and performance that begs to be driven through the bends faster than you thought possible. The driver can get all the info he needs from steering response and the pedals and the 6-speed Steptronic is a blast. There really are two ways to drive this car: like a true luxury sedan or a true performance sedan. Either way, its darn near perfect.
