Overview & Reviews
BMW has seen fit to give the sedans and wagons a facelift for 2002. An in-dash CD player finally makes it onto the standard features list. The center stack has been altered to accommodate the new automatic climate controls. Steptronic automanual operation has been altered so that you move the transmission lever forward for downshifts and backward for upshifts. Bi-xenon headlamps are on the options list so that both low and high beams can glow a cold blue and can be set to automatic operation. Rear side airbags are available for coupes and convertibles. Two new colors, Electric Red and Gray Green (and a Natural Brown interior leather) join the color spectrum.
- Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
- Pricey for their market segment, limited rear-seat space and cargo capacity.

Ultimate driving machine is no joke - 2002 BMW 3-Series
By Allan Adderley - December 29 - 7:06 pmFeel very safe in this car. Impeccable handling, great power, and fabulous brakes turn otherwise scary experiences into just gee whiz moments. No fat. No wasted space. Every control feels exactly like you want it to feel and works the way to want it to work. Totally neutral handling at every speed makes you king of the road in the turns. Park it next to a new Mustang, for example, and you will be amazed at how small it is in comparison although it has more room inside. Tight turning radius makes maneuvering in small spaces a breeze. Cars like this just show how far the others have to go. Reliability has been very good with this and my former 2001 330i. Total mileage driven, about 60K.

330Ci Showoff - 2002 BMW 3-Series
By Paulo - December 9 - 3:23 pmThe overall fundaments for me to purchase this car is the exterior design, which catched me and so many others. The overall maintenance is very good. The major problem for me is that I did not have much choices to choose unless I wait at least 2 months to get the options I desire. In another words, there isnt many of this cars in stock.

My first bimmer!! - 2002 BMW 3-Series
By fastcat - November 1 - 10:00 amThis car is what dreams are made of! I considered many cars, basically all makes from VW Jetta on up. In the end, BMW got the upper hand (and rightfully so) by delivering the kind of performance I was looking for. Some people might say its overpriced, but I say the its all well worth the bucks. There truly is no comparison to "the ultimate driving machine!" Experience it for yourself!!!

Ultimate Driving Experience - 2002 BMW 3-Series
By Paulo - October 2 - 2:00 amI am a car enthusiast "hardcore," which I will participate in my sparetimes in all car events. I always heard that BMW is the best car to buy for performance and fun to drive. After purchasing my car, a 330Ci, Im in love. Its better than expected in the performance, fun to drive, and quality sectors. I drove 38,000 miles until now and Im still excited when I can drive my "baby." Its very well balanced between comfort, which doesnt give the feeling of "bounciness" that usually happens with sports car. Engine is very silk smooth like, with a great response. The only problem I can tell upfront is the risk of getting a speeding ticket faster than you think.

Eat This Lexus - 2002 BMW 3-Series
By DRC Bavi - August 14 - 10:00 amThe 330i is hands down the best sports sedan in that category. The 3-series solely define the whole category. For all you Lexus owners, go ahead, drive your Toyota Altrzza (renamed as Lexus IS300), but if you come upon me at a stoplight, prepare to be humiliated.

Clean Tight Ride - 2002 BMW 3-Series
By UT@Austin - June 26 - 10:00 amGraduated from college, got a job, back on the singles scene, what to do? Bought a new BMW 325ci and love it! I researched the benz, lexus, acura, but BMW was it. I kept it pretty basic, metallic paint, manual trans, sport package, moonroof and paid close to MSRP at 32k. Met a girl the first hour I drove it off the lot, a fellow BMW owner. But forget the girls, this car handles like nobodys business, the engine grrs, the 17-inch tires inspire, and the stick is awesome. For a coupe the roominess is great. Im blown away by Grmn Engineering, they thought of everything. From the full size spare w/ rim to the flip-over trunk mat. This car is AMAZING!

BMW Forever - 2002 BMW 3-Series
By Luis L - June 13 - 9:24 amBought this car used in May 2005 with 20,000 miles on it. After reconditioning (replaced AC compressor, fuel level gauge in tank and suspension bushings), it has given no problems. Only needed scheduled service. Fun to drive! Nice acceleration and road handling. Full leather trim is easy to keep clean. 17" wheels and M3 type trunk spoiler give it a sporty look. I am adding angel eyes projector headlights to make it look even better. I will definitely buy another BMW when I trade this one in!
