Best 4 door under $50K - 2002 Audi S4
By SPEEDY_SAM - May 6 - 2:00 amSuperlative engine - has loads of torque. Can pretty much out-drag 99% of cars on US roads. Enables you to short- shift your way without any problems. Secure handling. Have taken it out to snowy climes without any slipping even with summer tires! Small size of car and narrow width pays dividends when tackling mountain roads. Able to position the car in the corners pretty well. Once kept a Dodge Viper GTS honest on Highway 1. I gained on him on the brakes and through the corners. He gained on the straights. If there was a bit of rain there would be no contest! Has nice distinguished looks - doesnt look boy-racerish. Its looks would be distinctive 5 years from now.

Great Audi - 2002 Audi S4
By alan ross - May 4 - 2:00 amIt goes very fast, feels very solid and all the while is very smooth. I received an A4 loaner and rode it all day..nice car but when I got my S4 back I realized what the 8K upcharge buys..all of the above. I will buy the next generation if they keep the computerized suspension to a minimum and hopefully they will put this CAR on a diet.

What a Delight!! - 2002 Audi S4

Upgraded the ECU on this car, went up against a new 2002 Infiniti Q45 with 340HP and I beat him, not by much but goes to show what an Audi can do against a car with 300+ HP. Would highly recommend anyone interested in one to go down to your local dealer and test drive one today!!!

A sleeper car to the uninitiated - 2002 Audi S4
By SCCAFAN - March 14 - 11:24 amFirst off I dont see how Edmunds could rate this cars engine performance as 7.0, fun to drive 7.0 and value rating 6.0. What car rates a 9 or better? Ferrari or Porsche? This car was on Edmunds 2000 editors sought after list and it nows rates a 7.4? This car is a blast and a much better value dollar for dollar versus the higher praised BMW 3-series. Do the comparison and you have to go with the Audi. Given proper tires this car is an all-year round all-weather performer. A tuners delight, with the simple change of an ECU chip you have a 300hp+ rocket.

Most underrated car - 2002 Audi S4

Fast (5.5 sec 0-60 14.1 sec quarter mile), handles like a snowmobile on snow, fun and safe all-weather machine yet can be quiet and luxurious around town, full of amenities at a reasonable price. The S4 is also the easiest car in the market to upgrade significantly. For a mere $500-600, the turbos can be reprogrammed to a safe 1 bar configuration by chip to produce 370+ lbs/sq ft of torque that will leave M3s in the dust, without compromising the engine.

Love my S4 - 2002 Audi S4
By MIke - February 28 - 6:24 pmThe car is great. The fun you can have in four door. The 250hp engine really comes to life and you can feel it just go and go. The quattro system is unbelieveable and the ESP is a nice addition. THe interior is very retro and new, not boring like every other car out there. I love my Audi!!!!!
