In addition, the 2.7T now comes standard with a firmer sport-tuned suspension and 17-inch wheels and 235/45 high-performance tires (these items were previously available in the sport package). All models can be equipped with a cold weather package that includes front and rear seat heaters (front seats only in 3.0 models); a ski sack; and on the 4.2 sedan only, a heated steering wheel.

Pros:
  • Heavenly cabin furnishings, varied menu of engines, all-wheel-drive utility.

Just a note to thise considering the 2003 Audi A6T. First , the multi function steering wheel that let you control the audio system is no longer offered on the Turbo A6T anymore. I guess safety is no longer important to Audi when it comes to driver distractions. I had this on the 2000 AT that I replaced and having seen it in all the brochures expected it in the 03 model.Quite disappointing. In addition, if you want a valet key for your luxury A6T you will have to order it for $65 and then take your car back to get it programmed. No longer standard equipment. Nice way to aggravate your loyal customers Audi!

This model of the A6 will be discontinued after 2004 and maybe the 2.7T engine as well. Im sure the new A6 will be great but the current one is an ageless work of beautiful automotive sculpture. For those who are not aware of the care and attention to detail Audi puts into its materials and craftmanship, you simply will not find better at any price below six figures- see for yourself. . The 2.7T engine is a jewel and provides intoxicating acceleration. I can only imagine what the RS6 with the 450hp biturbo V8 feels like.. Combine this excellent engine (Wards 10 Best Engines 2000/01) with the Quattro and Sport suspension and you have an unbeatable package

  • Worst car I ever loved... - 2003 Audi A6

Every day I travel steep, twisty mountain roads. The first time I took the 2.7T (6M) up the mountain, I couldnt believe how it clawed at the hills and turns, wanting more throttle than I had the guts to give. Even in rain and snow, the A6 has never blinked. When it goes, it really goes, however, its seen more than its fare share of time in the shop, 10+ times for major and minor stuff. :(

I finally bought a AUDI 2.7T, it is a great car for the money and otherwise also. Having driven MB E430 prior to this and a BMW and prosche. This car has a very good feel. Almost like 4 door porsche boxter. Very Fast. There is absolutely no turbo lag. But definitely you have better road feel (via the steering) in the 5 series and the porsche, but I think with the 235 45 17 Tires and the sport suspension the road handling is as good and will be great in snow with the Quattro. All in all it is a almost perfect car.

I replaced my 2000 A6T with the same specd car. Unfortunately I did not ask about the multi function steering wheel as it shows in all the brochures. Audi does not offer this safety feature anymore. Another surprise buyers will have is the "no valet key supplied" on new 2003 A6 cars. The sales person said they did not offer them but after pressing Audi Corporate myself ,found out I can buy one for $75 extra. I guess these two items are Audis way of saying " we are popular" now so lets see how we can diminish how our customers feel about us. Nice going Audi, it sure turned me off.

  • Audi A6 - good but could be better! - 2003 Audi A6

I decided to buy Audi after reading the favorable reviews and some positive feedback from friends. In general, this is a fine car but the lack of attention to detail is a problem. There are a number of distracting noises and rattles from the dash and air conditioning system. While seated, the seat rubs against the middle console causing a very annoying squeeking sound. With these noises ... I am glad the stereo is so good.

I started with 2000 4.2 and upgraded to a 2002 A6 4.2. Silky-smooth V8 engine, plenty of torque... Interior: The leather feels soft and rich, the dash-board looks perfect, the instruments well placed, and the theres plenty of room for 4 adults. Exterior: Understated and elegant, almost a sleeper. Handling is superb, rain or shine. You WILL need winter-tires, but thats standard in this performance class. Excellent brakes, and four-wheel traction will make for fun in city traffic too. If you know cars and can appreciate technology, buy an Audi and blend in -- its a 50K car that feels like a 50K car should feel.

  • A6 rocks!!! - 2003 Audi A6

All cars should be be this roomy and handle as well. The quattro is king! It is not underpowered by any means but more would always be good.

  • Great Car but be careful! - 2003 Audi A6

The 2.7T is a fine automobile. The issue I have is that this specific model does NOT have the multi-function steering wheel. The brochure, web site and quick reference guide that came with the vehicle all depict this capability. The fact is this capability / feature is not available on a 2003 2.7T. My dealer did not inform me of this. Needless to say I am not happy. I have sent a letter to Audi of America expressing my displeasure and they have not responded.

  • 2003 A6 3.0 CVT - 2003 Audi A6

The CVT is nothing like I have ever experienced before. It is seamless and smooth like a true automatic transmission shoul be. Also, watch out because you climb up in speed quicker than you might realize. The detail and quality Audi puts into their cars is one of the reasons I bought an Audi. The A6 is roomy and can still give you that sporty feeling. I love the styling because it doesnt look like other cars. If youve noticed, all the cars now-a-day look the same.
