The Cabriolet is now available with all-wheel drive, while all A4s now come standard with a tire-pressure monitoring system, revised steering wheels and two-stage airbags. The 1.8T models have been upgraded with 16-inch aluminum wheels and now offer a six-speed manual transmission as an option.

• Price goes up quickly with options, engines short on low-end torque, sport package makes for a choppy ride.

  This is the best car i have ever owned. It was great in the snow, handled well. Its just as much fun in other climates as well. a sleek stylish design that turns heads!

  I wanted a fast fun car for a reasonable price and got it. Had serious issues with the convertible top not working and it took SIX WEEKS during the Indian Summer for the dealer to fix it (more of an issue of the dealers inability to fix a problem properly). Other than that issue, everything else has been great with the car. I have the sports package which Id forget if I did it all over again (too many potholes and bumpy roads in the metropolitan area). At the end of the day, I do have to say that I still love this car.

  this has been the best car ever. compared to a the smaller engine bmw which the audi tops that and the 1.8t is all the power you need. its great to drive and fun. and you get the good looks!

  Extremely pleased. Took delivery of the A404 in Oct 03. My first new car, from NYC where my car was the 8th Ave A train - big improvement. Superbly appointed interior. Audi overlooks nothing - slow release overhead door handles, gradual dome light dimmer, back seat HVAC vents, subtly lit door handles and ashtrays, ambient light over the center console. Sound system a bell from Mozart to Metallica. Truck and glove have huge appetite. Engine pep is there when you need it regardless of the lag aforementioned in previous reviews - great deep roar when you key the ignition makes you feel good every morning. Treat yourself and your passengers.

  This cars "Wow" factor is off the chart. Heads turn wherever I go. People pull up next to me a red lights to tell me how much they like it. The ride is so firm and solid it feels like the car was carved out of a solid piece of metal. With the top down theres only a little more wind than if you had the windows down in a sedan.

  I am a college student and this car is perfect. It gets amazing gas mileage, it is quick yet has some give between pushing the pedal and actually being slammed into your seats. The car handles turns amazingly, but then again my audi has quattro on it. I could not be happier with my car and I am 100% positive that my next car with be an Audi.

  I got my car on the 1st of nov. and have been loving it ever since! the ultra sport option is great! the wheels, interior, bodywork, all totally worth it! my previous car was a 1.8T jetta, and I dont miss the extra 10hp, as the quattro is well worth it. the handling is better than all the others that I drove 325/330, c230K, G35,and9/3 saab. plus it has the best interior design, and the quality far superior to the rest! BMWhat? I wont ever buy anything else.

  Living in the northeast, I was hesitant to spend this much $ on a convertible, but have to say I love it. The performance, handling and comfort of the car is amazing. Cant imagine giving up any of the features. The 3.0 is a little sluggish off the line, but makes up for it quickly with a lot of power. Its so much fun to drive, looks great and is really comfortable.

  We are very pleased with the car and the design in and out, is superb and well thought out. This car turns on a dime however be careful... it only takes a few seconds to get to 60 mph and 90mph doesnt feel like 90. Wonderful ride, lush interior and piece of mind when driving with little ones. You know that you are safe when driving with Audi.
