I think the RSX Type-S is a nice ride and looks sweet on the road!! Great purchase!

  • Fun to Drive and Reliable - 2002 Acura RSX

Not only is this vehicle a blast to drive, but I get to drive it (vs. in the shop for maintenance and repairs). The sound system is incredible as well. One downside: not great visibility for a shorter person.

I bought my wife a 2001 Accord a few months back and fell in love with Honda quality. The Acura RSX is no exception. I test drove everything, including the new Nissan Altima, and nothing came close. Fun to drive, quick, and great quality. Bypass the Type S, the base engine is quick! Unless you are going to the drag strip, it is more than enough engine.

  • RSX-S is a Fun Car ! - 2002 Acura RSX

Just got one on 29 March, and am almost at the 600 mile break-in. Originally, I planned to buy via a discount buying service (CostCo), but ended up with a much better price from the local salesman; this was a surprisingly good experience. RSX-S is a fun car to drive! Handling and performance are wonderful; the engine is very responsive, especially (but not only) beyond 6000 RPM. The 6-speed manual transmission is great -- very smooth! Especially fun on winding, two-lane roads, where it passes slower logging trucks & RVs quickly and safely. Its also relatively fun (& quiet) on freeways -- certainly more solid and quieter than my 94 Integra.

Just take one for a test drive. It handles awesome and is a huge improvement over the Integra it replaced. Sporty fun!

  • How RSX is a car YOU want - 2002 Acura RSX

This car is the ultimate sports coupe at this price range. This car is very fun to drive! The acceleration is unbelievable and it is extremely powerful; it dominates on the road. Many heads will turn when you drive this car. The interior is beautifully designed and the bose sound system is very rich sounding. I heard some nasty things about the Acura dealers, but the dealership i went to was great. Bottom line: This is the best car you can get at this price range.

  • A+ for the Automatic RSX - 2002 Acura RSX

Sports car purists should stick to the manual. But for the daily commuter the steptronic automatic transmission offers all the fun of a manual with no clutch. I purchased it becuase I spend hours in stop and go traffic. Other convincing features include Acuras luxury interior, loads of standard features, good value and excellent quality.

  • Loved it - 2002 Acura RSX

Comfortable and well designed interior (except for cupholder placement in front of shifter, though Ive seen a lot worse). Beautiful inside/out. Had problem with shifting into 2nd, and everytime I had the dealer fix it the problem moved up a gear. Gave up when it got to 4th as ratios were tall enough it was rarely a problem anymore. Fairly neutral handling but beefened up rear sway bar made it better. Cold air intake helped power immensely for cheap, and engine torque dampener helped with traction. Good quality of materials and fit/finish except for the vinyl thigh support for seats. Loved the hatch - a very useful and fun car!

    Great all around car

  • Great but............... - 2002 Acura RSX

The praises of this car can easily be seen in the other reviews and magazines. All in all its a tremendous car. My focus is on how to improve the car. 1-The passenger side leg room is awkward. Its difficult to relax your feet in a comfortable position. 2- Odometer/tripometer need separate displays instead of having to press the button. 3-Alloy wheels could use a little thicker (if any) clear coat finish. 4-Rear seats are pretty flat, unlike front seat. 5-Rear window wash dispenser just trickles water instead a spraying nicely. 6-One touch buttons for roof and passenger window would be very helpful.
