I went in for a scheduled test drive and the vehicle had already been sold . I was shown other vehicles for the same price that were not half as good. I still see the jeep advertised and was very disappointed at the difference in quality I was offered. I would have appreciated a phone call or at least an email since they contacted me constantly before that. I went with another dealer all together.

When I arrived, I sat down with Maria Swiacke, who was very friendly and helpful. We discussed my criteria, and went out to hit the lot. Unfortunately, we had some trouble locating keys to one of the cars so I had to wait a little bit, and I started to get a bad feeling. However, I was told that the confusion was caused by the fact that they had recently expanded into an additional building, and what happened next was pretty great. Instead of trying to deflect blame or sweep the delay under the rug, she engaged multiple additional staff members to track the key down. And Im glad she did, because that was the car I wound up buying. She kept me comfortable throughout the whole process, and even offered me a part of her own lunch to keep me from getting hungry! (An individually wrapped and sealed part, mind you) And if that wasnt enough, she even offered to come pick me up at a nearby train station so I wouldnt have to shell out the money to get a cab from Medford to Danvers. It would be easy to call a drop in the bucket compared to the price of a preowned 2015 car, but this just goes to show Marias level of dedication to customer satisfaction.

Terrible experience. All the usual games and then some. Had to wait hours and hours during the process. And then when things went wrong on their part, no apologies from the general manager, Mike Garabadian, who I felt was completely unprofessional and antagonistic. Even though sales person was reasonable, garabedian, takes the cake. Wont be going back anytime soon.

We explained we had limited time, and Maria got us out for a test drive in no time. We intended to look at other car dealerships, but felt Maria gave us the best deal already. We purchased the car for her with the price we needed with time to other family stuff. The whole process went well, and we got the car three days early. We have already told friends and family about our experience, and how we had "fun" with Maria. Thats a change from our typical experience. This review is an interesting one to write as Ive currently got an extremely love-hate relationship with Ira Subarus staff. Ill be writing two reviews here, as Ive been principally involved in two purchases at Ira Subaru in the past three months -- one was excellent, the other not so much. This is the story of my first experience with Ira Subaru in early March 2016: My mother is a CPA and our family lost two cars in the space of a week in the middle of tax season which put us in a bind transportation-wise. As she was far to busy to handle it at the time my mother put me in charge of locating and arranging the purchase of a replacement vehicle. I knew immediately that Subaru was the brand for us and after checking out a couple of older used Subaru Outbacks with my father, we stopped in at Ira Subaru on a whim, not expecting to be able to afford anything with the small budget we had for an immediate purchase. Upon entering the dealership we were greeted warmly by Robin Duquette, a sales and leasing consultant with Ira Subaru. She sat us down at her desk and immediately began discussing our needs with us, our budget, and what kind of vehicle we were looking for. While the dealership didnt have anything in stock within our immediate purchase budget, Robin offered to show us a few vehicles they had that were in a somewhat higher price range which we might be able to finance and we took her up on the offer. Boy were we glad we did. After showing us around the lot and letting us take a look at three different cars (Outback, Forester, Impreza) up-close, inside and out, and discussed a fourth option. Robin then took us on a test drive of a used Forester (which in my opinion was a great deal) and a 2010 Subaru Outback (which we ended up buying) with a six-speed manual transmission. Throughout the process Robin made us feel entirely at ease and didnt pressure us to make a quick decision, though we did so regardless. We called my mom, discussed the vehicles, and let Robin know wed determine which of the two candidates wed be going with that night and return the next day. That night we settled on trying for the Outback, applied for financing by proxy for my mom, and once everything was sorted out we called mom in to sign the papers and the deed was done. In fact, the only minor blemish on the whole experience was not a sales issue at all, it was with the finance department. I dont know if they get a ton of pressure to sell warranties and gap insurance policies but these guys really push hard, saying no just doesnt seem to get through until the fourth or fifth time. With that said, it wasnt enough of an issue to put us off the transaction and two days later we drove away in our freshly detailed 2010 Outback. Robin was an absolute pleasure to deal with and I wholeheartedly recommend without reservation that anyone seeking to do business with Ira Subaru seek her out. I cant speak to the other salespeople at Ira (except one, but thats for the other review) but I do know that shes tops. She took great care to ensure that we had everything we wanted and never made us feel pressured to make a deal. If youre in the market for a Subaru, give Ira a call and ask to speak to Robin Duquette, I feel confident shell take just as good care of you and your family as she did our family. --- I would also like to give a wholehearted thanks to Ira General Manager Mike Garabedian. Literally on the night of the 30th day after purchasing the car (when the lemon law coverage expires) the clutch went (understandably so, 100k miles is about right for a clutch) on the Outback and we were devastated. The next morning Mike Garabedian made it all better, we had the car towed to Ira and Ira replaced the clutch in our Outback on their dime. They were not legally obligated to do so as the warranty had lapsed and I think it really speaks to the values of the dealership and the people who work there that they did. Thank you, Mike!

As soon as arrived I met Maria Swiake, we hit it off immediately witch made the entire experience a pleasure and easy to get through. We got right to work,first walking outside to look at the car that I wanted second we got to the deal, what I liked was that she was very clear and made sure I was following along with all of the information as we went through every thing I needed to know. Maria, was Abel too stay within all of the bounds that I was looking for it couldnt have been better. What I really thought was amazing, was the way that she handled an Insurance agent that wanted to go too lunch! Maria, in a very polite and humorus manor was Abel to get what she needed first. Just bought a new subaru and had the pleasure (and good luck) of working with Maria Swiacke as my salesperson. She made the buying experience, flawless. From the moment I walked into Ira Subaru- she took meticulous care of me (us). We (my husband and I) wanted a special model WRX and she went above and beyond to not only identify it, but get it to the dealership within an incredibly short period of time. My recent experience at IRA Subaru in Danvers, MA was highly unpleasant, to say the least. When my fiancé and I entered the dealership, we asked to speak to a salesperson and were seated at an empty desk. We waited there for 15 minutes and watched several other couples enter the dealership and receive immediate attention. When we were finally met by a sales person we asked him about a car posted online, to which he informed us was no longer available. When asking about other cars that were for sale he responded in a passive aggressive manner to basic question about MPGs and deals that were currently being advertised. As such, instead of answering the questions he only provided round-about answers and then felt the need to inform us that he has "been doing this for 35 years and knows what hes doing". He then prematurely asked us if we had good credit, as if to gain reassurance that we were worth his time. I was interested in finding out the trade-in value of my car so I could determine an appropriate price range for my next purchase. So I gave him keys and after taking a look at it, he told me it looks pretty good for a "Massachusetts driver". He even took a second walk around the car to look for dents and scratches and joked that he expected I would have damage on my car from bumping or backing into things. When he found a car he thought wed be interested in, we agreed to test drive it. He then told us he had to go "find" it. He disappeared for over 20 minutes and eventually we decided it was time to leave. He had taken my car keys, so I had to go looking for them. I found them abandoned at an unattended counter in the showroom area.... I took them without being questioned and then asked a woman in the office area to inform our sales person that we were leaving. He came running out as we were about to drive away and then was unapologetic and irritated when we told him we were leaving and did not have time to test drive the car. The entire experience was so terrible that it is laughable.

While I am not new to Ira Motor Group, this was my first Subaru purchase. I bought a 2015 Forester this week and it was Marias way of selling that made the deal after it almost fell though as these things can happen when negotiating price. As an Advanced Aircraft Engine Mechanic I can tell quality on fit and finish.... but the engine is what impresses me. The 2.5 I performs as all the reviews say. Smooth, quiet, and peppy and torque when asked for... If possible ask for Maria to be your sales rep. She loves the product, is knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra distance to get the deal done. When I visited the service area to get the inspection sticker all the bays were empty. Not one Subaru being repaired. That tells you something about the quality of Subaru. The 2.5I Boxer engine no longer has a timing belt with all the repair costs as it has been replaced by a chain that never needs replacing. Those who have had timing belts break in older cars know the cost of repair when that happens.

I went into Ira today to look, test drive and see what I can do with my trade in for a 2013 WRX. I was promptly greeting at the door with my name and time of appointment on the calendar. I was introduced to Maria and I could tell she was not the typical "sales man/woman" that you normally see and deal with. We test drove the car, spent 7 hours working the deal (only because my insurance put something wrong on the paper) and I ended up leaving in my new car. Simple, easy and Maria made it all happen. Super smooth transaction, patient and never pressed buttons to buy the car or do anything she wouldnt do. She is definitely in your best interest. Heck, she even had a surprise half way through the day. I am absolutely overwhelmed how great Maria was, she was a true mom figure while buying this car. I want to thank everyone I dealt with, Fred and Maria, the young man who drove nonstop to make sure the cars were looking good outside, the people who washed, cleaned and made the car beautiful. Thank you to you all for what you do. It is far more appreciated than you think. Without you, none of this would have happened. It all starts with the simple wash to clean the car up, to Maria who made the deal happen and to Fred who got me an amazing deal with financing. I purchased a 2011 certified pre-owned Subaru Outback a year ago April 2014 with 44 th miles. Two weeks ago, I brought the car to a mechanic who uses Subaru parts and fluids to have my 60 th mile maintenance taken care of. I was told my breaks were 99% worn and suggested I call the dealership. Furthermore the independent mechanic told me that there was no way the breaks should be this far worn, in such a short amount of time. Especially if they were guaranteed to be no more than 50% worn a year ago at the time of purchase. My driving is all highway to and from work. I explained all of this to the Subaru service dept and they declined to take any responsibilty for the breaks being more worn than they stated. Be very wary of any of their Certified pre owned cars, they will not stand behind their guarantee. Apparently they do not want my business in the future.

I had been researching cars for several weeks and I finally chose to go with a Subaru. I was impressed with all of the models they had to offer, but I had a particular few in mind. I stopped by Ira Subaru so I could check out the cars up close. Maria Swiacke greeted us at the doors and was also our sales representative. She was super nice and very personable. We took our time going over the specs of each vehicle to help narrow down our options. I was looking for smaller SUV that could handle well in the snow and we settled on a Crosstrek. I fell in love with the car during the test drive! The Crosstrek handled beautifully and Maria showed me all the features. She broke down and explained the perks and benefits of the warranty and package options, but didnt push me to purchase any of them. Buying a new car is a lengthy process and Maria helped make it an easy and pleasant experience. Thank you for your help and guidance, Maria! I love the new car!

After researching many cars that I wanted to buy, I was impressed with the Subaru immensely. Since I live in the area, I went to IRA Subaru and was warmly greeted by sales person Maria Swiacke. We discussed what kind of vehicle I was looking for and Maria graciously and enthusiastically showed me the Forrester detailing all the advanced technology which I never had in my cars before. We took it for a test drive and I was pleased that the way it handled (considering it was a snowy day). I was happy with all that the Forester Touring had to offer me. Maria took the time to show me all the features and could answer any questions I had asked. The buying experience was easy, got a good deal, and had fun along the way. ... or we had an unusually bad experience. We also dealt with Maria (who was sure to mention to go to this site to see all the great reviews about her about 45 seconds after meeting her- which we thought was strange even before we came here and saw all these reviews), but found the experience to take so much longer, so much more discombobulated, and much more pressure to buy right now than any of the other dealers we went to that day. We were very candid about the fact that we were not ready to buy a car that day- we wanted to take a test drive as we have never driven a legacy and were planning on buying in about a month (assuming we liked the car). Long story short, the experience dealing with her was so painful that when we were finally able to get the heck out of there, we went to a nearby Subaru dealership a few weeks later and bought a legacy there- much better experience.

My brother recently bought a car from this dealership, for a person that only has a little experience buying a car, it can be confusing.. this dealership was excellent. especially the person that handled our sale who is Maria Swiacke. She is funny, you wont get bored while waiting (cause we know that buying a car can take forever) and at the same time she knows what she is doing.. and most importantly, I loved about her was she was really customer advocate! she did everything she could to get us the best rate possible. I like how they are very courteous and very sensitive to customer needs. so overall, i recommend this dealership!! its not an easy job they do there but manage to make customers happy.

My wife and I came in looking for a used Subaru. We were greated by a friendly, saleswoman, Maria. She made us feel comfortable immediately. I am not a fan of going to buy cars, but Maria may have changed my mind. For the record, its nice to see a woman selling cars. We didnt feel pressured or obligated to buy a car, but we ended up buying one. We financed our car with Jason at the dealership, we came in with a preapproved rate, and he was came back with competitive rates. The whole process with Ira was simple and convenient. We will be coming back for our next car purchase.

After checking in with friends who had shopped around for their Outback I had a good feeling about Ira in Danvers and was ready to trade in for a new Forester. Never a big fan of the car buying experience, I headed out to spend a sunny Saturday post holiday to get it done. I was so lucky to have been met by Maria Swiacke, my sales rep for the day! I already knew what I was looking for and she was helpful in getting me out for a test drive right away; always the best part. One more car and the deal was sealed. During our whole time together I felt as if I were shopping with a best friend, not someone who was working the deal and she never let that go-even when I was sold and she was busy with new customers. A real treat, when you are spending big money and the day grows long.. My only fault with Ira Subaru is their lack of amenities, and I know its small, but It is a long day if you plan on driving a new car home and maybe a bit more offered in the way of food and bev? Vending machines and a not so comfy waiting area, basically for service customers is all. Something to think about! Overall I am thrilled with my car and had so much support from Maria during the day that I would recommend Ira Subaru to anyone thinking of shopping around!

I visited IRA Subaru looking to test drive an Outback to refresh my memory of driving one at a different dealer about six months earlier. After comparing the Outback and the Forester, I realised that the Forester suited me better. The IRA sales group didnt miss a beat when the original sales person was out of the office upon my return and I met "Manny" Figueroa. We confirmed that the Forester was indeed the model for me and I left the dealership with a proposal, including the trade-in value of my car. Frankly, I wasnt looking forward to the buying experience but can now say it was painless. I found Manny to be professional, knowledgeable and someone who listened to his customer in order to really address questions. I bought the car !

A little over a month ago I began shopping for my (first) new car. I knew exactly what I wanted and planned to visit several dealers to find the best deal. At the first Subaru dealer, I was advised by the gentleman in the lot that there were no 2014 Subaru Impreza Hatchbacks in the Eastern part of the state and he told me something to the effect" Good Luck". Then I went to Ira Subaru and met Maria Swiacke and my luck began to change. She sat my husband and I down and spent a lot of time listening to what I wanted and why. She did say that there were no Impreza Hatchbacks in the lot but there was a sedan and she suggested I test drive it to get a sense of the car. After the test drive we returned to the dealer and she excused herself for a few minutes. When she returned she told me that she had found a Hatchback in Japan and that it could be delivered within a month. I put a deposit on the car and began to wait. Maria would call me during this waiting period to let me know the anticipated arrival date and how long it would take to process the car. She knew that I was very excited and nervous about this car and kept assuring me that it would be worth the wait and that I would love the car. Yesterday she called to say that the car had been delivered to the dealer at midnight (ahead of schedule)and asked if I would like to do the paperwork in order to take the car home later in the day. You bet I did! She worked extremely hard all day to get everything together in order to make this happen. She then showed me all the buttons and gadgets in the car and by 5:30 I drove off the lot in my beautiful 2014 Subaru Impreza Hatchback. And you know she was right. I love the car.
