"Best Service Department"
David Patti always takes care of my car. Prompt courteous service, attention to detail. Truly cares about his customers. Fabulous dealership!
"Best Dealer Ever"
We recently moved to Ri/Conn. border and still came North to buy our 5th vehicle from 128 Volvo. Great salesman Steve and great management team.
"Awesome Customer Experience Every Time!!"
Always a great experience at 128 Volvo/Saab. Special thanks to Dave Patti, Service Manager, and his entire team. They have kept my 2010 V70 R-Design in great shape. 175K miles and still going strong thanks to them!!
"128 Volvo Was Great!"
Steve at 128 Volvo was exceptional. Great buying experience.
"Purchased A Used Vehicle"
I had a smooth and simple experience purchasing a car for my son with Steve from the online cars department. We never felt pressured or rushed. No one hovered over us which we experienced at a number of other larger dealerships.
"Fantastic Experience"
Incredible service, professional employees and impeccable courtesy. The general manager Frank McLaughlin and our salesman Tom could not have been more thoughtful and considerate. They ensured that our every need was met and far surpassed all of our expectations. I would and have enthusiastically recommended this dealership to friends for all of you new and used car needs.
"Great Proactive Service And Repairs!"
I brought my car in to have a bulb replaced. The bulb was replaced at no charge on the spot, but the service advisor noticed that the socket had some charring on it and that it should be replaced too. It was late on a Friday afternoon and that work needed to be scheduled for another day. Due to my schedule, I could not bring the car back until Tuesday. The service advisor took it upon himself to type and then give me a printout with my appointment scheduled to show the police if the bulb were to blow out again and I were to be pulled over by the police before my Tuesday appointment. The service advisor was very proactive and I appreciate that.
"Excellent Sales And Service"
Fast, friendly, and efficient.very professional staff.
"Terrible Just Terrible Customer Service"
Customer service is a big ZERO... Will never ever go back there again...
"Great Service"
They are really upfront and honest about all aspects of my visit: wait time, cost, coverage, etc.
"Great Service & Applicable Pricing On Repairs"
A great dealership to have your Volvo repaired or service maintenance performed.
"Service And Sales"
I purchased my first volvo in 2008 and have purchased 2 more since...The sales department is fantastic I worked with Sandy whom was my salesman and Barry the sales manager. The process was smooth and I couldnt be happier. I get all my service done at 128 volvo. I have built a great relationship with them especially Dave the service manager. They have been very honest with the diagnosis, repaired in a timely manner, prices are reasonable and have always made sure I have alt transportation. If your in the market for a volvo go to 128 you wont be disappointed!!
"Solid Service Department"
I needed some immediate service on my 09 Volvo. I love these cars, but we all know it can be pricey to fix them...Im happy to say that the service department at this dealership was fantastic in their knowledge and it didnt hurt me too much to get the work done. Dave (I think?) is the Service Manager and even checked in on me a few times to give me updates on the repair. Thanks 128!
"% Star Service And Sales Team"
I never thought my next car would be a Volvo. I walked in 128 Volvo in 2005 and since then I have purchased 3 cars from them. The best part of buying the car is the service department. They have the best service department I ever had to deal with. The service Manager David Pattie always follows up with me on what the cost would be,if I needed a loaner car they had one available. I have recommended 128 Volvo to other friends and co workers. I rate them a solid 5 star operation.
"Best Sales And Service!!!!!!"
I will buy Volvos forever because of the standard of customer service in their sales and service department! The service department goes above and beyond my expectations every time. I drive almost 50 miles just get my service because in over 8 years have never had one complaint. Thank you for making my experience in the service and sales department one that I look forward to every time. Thank you
"128 Volvo Saab"
Ive been a customer of 128volvo for the past 20 years. Their service is nothing short of amazing, their sales staff is really friendly and knowledgeable, repairs and services are always accurate and priced fair. Ive always felt welcomed their; keep up the good work guys....youre the best! I think the only way they could make me happier is by giving me a car of repairing the ones I have for free! :)
"20+ Years Of Service And Multiple Purchases"
Actions speaks volumes- I get the best service here and thats why 128 Volvo is my dealership for over 20 years and multiple cars later. Thank you for taking care of my family All these years!
"Great Service, Took Care Of Everything"
Ive been using 128 Volvo for my warranty work for the past several months. Im looking forward to staying with them beyond the warranty period. For the most part the staff is very straightforward and easy to work with when it comes to scheduling and time estimates. Great folks!
"Doesnt Return Phone Calls"
No return phone call from 2 different salesmen, I guess they dont need my business.
"Internet Communication"
05-13-2014
Today is May 12, 2014. Called to see about a vehicle, and spoke with Bob (their online salesman) about coming to see a vehicle. We confirmed a time to come down. I had given him my contact information. After arrival, he comes out to tell me he has sold the car. 2014, email??? We talked on the phone??? Really, you could have saved me from sitting in traffic after work. Nice work guys. Nice work.... Poor quality service.
"Great To Work With"
Bob the internet guy at 128 exceeded my expectation! Not only met my price but did a great job preping the car and orienting my wife to the features. Even put a bow on the car as it was a present to my wife. Highly recommend.....
"Very Accomodating"
Bought car. Very smooth process, low pressure. Had a minor paperwork problem on my end, not theirs, and they solved it for me.
"Steve Gregory"
I just completed a transaction with Steve Gregory, purchasing a beautiful 2012 Volvo C70 convertible. The sales process was pleasant and equitable. I highly recommend Steve and 128 Volvo for late model pre-owned Volvos.
"Dishonest And Disrespectful"
I typically don’t review things online unless they are excellent or terrible. At 54 years old, I had the worst car buying experience of my life at 128 Volvo. I recommend that you stay away from them; we were treated dishonestly and disrespectfully. I was working with them because my credit union had an Autoadvisor who had a relationship with certain dealers where I was supposed to be treated well and get a fair price. I was buying a 2012 Volvo C-70 and drove similar cars at 3 different dealerships and also spoke to a couple of other dealers. I met with the salesperson at 128 Volvo along with my autoadvisor and the salesperson was very accommodating. We drove a car that I liked. He insisted that he would not be beaten on price and made every indication he would give me the best price because he had to keep the Autoadvisor happy. I spoke with him through the next week and told him that I had another dealer whose price was lower; he insisted over and over not to worry he promised that he would not be beaten on price and we arranged for us to pick up the car on Saturday. He did not state a bottom line price, but indicated that he had room to move down on the price and that when we came in with our checkbook and it being the end of the month that we would be treated well. We gave him a credit card for a deposit. He said to bring our plates and we could drive home in the car. We did not bring the autoadvisor on this appointment because he had another appointment. Both he and the salesperson said we would be treated well and that the autoadvisor was not needed. The dealership was almost an hour and a half away and the salesperson knew we had to drive that far. When we arrived at the dealer I asked for him to take 450.00 off of the asking price and throw in a 450 accessory. He spoke to his sales manager and said he would take the 450 off but not throw in the accessory. I asked if he could cut another 200 off and he went to talk to the manger. He came back saying sometimes deals could not be done and they were losing too much money. We said ok, we will buy it for the 450 off. He said no, I never said that you could have it for 450 off (though it was written down clearly). When we protested, he admitted that he had offered it for the 450 off but his manager had made a mistake and that the price now was the original asking price without the 450 discount. I reminded him that he had told me multiple times “ I promise we won’t be beaten on Priceâ€; he said sometimes it can’t be done. I said I had another dealer offering a similar car for 450 less, and he said “go call herâ€. He was rude, and abrupt. We called the other dealer who was glad to give us a price 450 lower than 128 Volvo. We were horrified that he removed a deal from the table after offering it and he treated us disrespectfully and dishonestly. I would never consider going to this dealership now, even if their price was lower. If we treated that badly before the sale, just imagine how they treat customers after the sale!
"Very Good Experience Overall"
Bought a 2012 used car last week and had a very good experience overall. Bob was very helpful and pretty straightforward when negotiating the price. It probably helped that I had done a lot of research in advance and knew what was fair and what was not. The car was delivered on the agreed day, even though we had 1-2 days of delay with the paperwork. They installed heated front seats which work fine and are up to our expectations. It is a little far away if you live in Boston/Cambridge (25 minutes drive), but not as far as other Volvo dealers. Only reason why I dont give it 5 stars is that when we drove-off the dealership the car had about 150 extra miles on, compared with what it had when we test-drove it and made a deposit. No one said anything about it, and we realized this after we left the dealership. Maybe there was a good reason for the trip, but we werent told anything. Not a deal-breaker, just not 5 stars customer service. I overall recommend the dealership and Bob in particular, but as with any car purchase anywhere in the world, do your homework before visiting!
"Great Poeple And Awesome Experience!!!"
I just bought a used 2010 Volvo XC90 from Bob at 128 Volvo and had a great experience! It was an easy, no pressure deal and I am very happy with the car and the service I got. I intend to go back the next time we are in the market for a car and will refer everyone to both the dealer and the salesperson, Bob Van Wert. I actually had fun buying a car!
"The Best"
The Best car buying experience ever....bought an XC90 from Tom, could not have been more considerate & knowledgeable....none of that typical car dealer stuff...up-front, fair pricing and the entire process was handled without a missed step...promises kept and on time...very happy with my new Volvo from 128.
"Purchased Xc 60 From Tom Randele"

"Happy Volvo Buyer"
Purchased a 2013 S60 from Dave Lombardi...beyond pleased with their level of service & pricing....relaxed atmosphere / experienced staff, very attentive to my needs in a new car....highly recommend purchasing from 128...
"Great Experience"
Best experience I ever had buying a car. It was actually fun spending a couple of hours with Bob and we finally narrowed everything down to the used XC70 that I absolutely love.
"Good Selection, No Shenanigans"
Im posting this review to balance out some of the nasty ones (shown below). This dealer has a good selection of used Volvos, and I drove down from Maine because theyre too scarce up here. They wanted a little more than book for the Volvo and offered me less than book for my old car, but -- so what? I couldnt find what I wanted without travelling 100 miles, and I didnt want to mess with selling my old car to squeeze a few hundred dollars out of it. Thats the way the market works. The price and mileage were advertised correctly; no dirty tricks. I financed through the dealer and everything went smoothly. After we signed they had a body shop work out a dent, and the quality of the repair was very good. They delivered the car to Maine and picked up my trade, saving me another 200-mile round trip. Yes, like most dealers, theyll ask if youre ready to buy before they get serious. The price is listed on the internet, you can comparison shop up to 500 miles if you want, but they want the advertised price for used cars. Selection is very good, dealers practices are ethical and businesslike, but (unlike Oprah) they wont give you a free car. Cant imagine why these earlier reviewers were so unfavorable.
"Excellent Experience"
Excellent experience in purchasing a vehicle; highly recommend this dealership.
"Higher Mileage Than Advertised"
Called on a s80...sites states the car has 18,000 miles, sales person said it had 36,000...said he would call back, never did. Checked another car on this site stated from this dealership, again around 18,000 miles...car fax says 36,000 miles...looks like a pattern here...buyer beware, sounds like a scam operation cant believe this dealership is still in business reading similar reviews.
"Bought Used Saab"
Bought a used Saab. Went armed with Blue Book, etc. and was told these were irrelevant - not the type of start to negotiations that one wants.
"How Can They Still Stay Afloat?!"
The salespeople at this dealership are dishonest in their price quoting. We have compared multiple Volvo dealerships and only at this one do they claim that they "treat the newest models like the ones of the previous year" in terms of pricing. WHAT!? Everyone knows that the price of a car depreciates over time so there is NO WAY a 2012 Volvo costs the same as a 2013 Volvo. What kind of fools do they take us for? They are far too forceful in their sales strategy and made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Went elsewhere to buy a Volvo.
"Beware - Do Not Bother"
This dealership has proven to be a waste of time to ever visit. You dont get a price til you "commit to buy". What???? Sure Ill buy a car w/o knowing the price. When I told the dopey sales-slug that I have been buying cars for over 35 years and would never do that and started to leave he barked at me "dont come back". That was it I let him have it verbally on the floor as well as the "owner" who could not care less.
