Only area to improve would be to get a more familiar knowledge of the specifics of the vehicle, what features are included at which tier which seemed to differ from my research. No deal breakers, but can be a little misleading if you dont have a firm understanding of the vehicle you are getting already.

Full Disclosure: Im a former employee. I was the used car manager for the last year and a half and it was a great experience. I started there never having sold cars and found the car industry, at least at NPHK, to be much more transparent and honest than I had imagined coming from 20+years of non-profit organizations. Im leaving the place in the hands of my friend Nick who worked with me at my last non-profit. I know we cant please everyone, but we really do try. The car industry had earned a bad reputation as a whole over the years, and we cant always overcome it with our interactions. My experience was a great one! In the wee morning hours I submitted an internet search through my employers car buying service. I received a call shortly after they opened the following morning from Alex, he was courteous with zero pressure as I explained that I couldnt come in that day and asked if he could call me after they opened the following day. He did just as promised, which is way more than 3 other dealerships in the bay area did, because I couldnt commit to an appointment time none of them called back even when they promised to do so! Alex greeted me and introduced me to the manager and several other sales associates, I was promptly treated to a fresh off the grill burger while they brought a car around for me to test drive. Alex and group worked hard to provide me with the car I desired, a Beautiful 2017 Sorento SXL AWD at the price that fit my needs. Since December 2016, my husband and I have been looking for a new Kia Sedona of our liking to replace my 2006 Sedona. I already knew what package I wanted. That month, we visited Nicholas Parks dealership in San Leandro-my "go to place" where I got my Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento and the 2006 Kia Sedona. There we met Sam "Louisiana" Fulton, a very nice guy, easy to talk with and NEVER PUSHY. That time, they dont have the Sedona i wanted, so i made a deal with Sam that I will come back. Last April 30th, we came back and Sam was there, eager to show us what theyve got. Inside the showroom, I knew right away that I was looking at my new 2017 Kia Sedona. The process was swift and painless. We got the best deals in the house!!! Sam did his thing and finance manager, Reazul (sorry for the spelling) was very accommodating, Nick explained about the Cilajet and James, the manager- very warm and friendly ! All in all, our experience at this dealership was the best. Everyone made us feel comfortable, relaxed and not rushed. So until our next visit, thank you, Sam and the rest of the team !!!!

I had not stepped foot in a dealership in over ten years, & was very pleasantly surprised with the entire experience from the very beginning. After doing some reaserach online I knew I wanted a to lease a Hyundai and was contacted by many different Hyundai dealerships in the Bay Area. After some phone call exchanges with John Fitzsimmons at Nicholas Parks Hyundai, I knew I only wanted to deal with him. He sounded kind & sincere and was completely neutral and not at all pushy or aggressive as far as getting me into the dealership to test drive a car. I told him when I wanted to come in and then he just followed up with me that day. My boyfriend and I arrived at the dealership around 7pm on a Friday. People working the floor were friendly and they got John right away when I said we were looking for him specifically. John was the same calm demeanor in person as over the phone. He showed me and compared all the cars that fit what I was looking for and went above and beyond researching the lot for what I wanted BEFORE suggesting alternatives (I was set on a specific color). Once I was set on the car I wanted, he took his time explaining all the features and under the hood, overall a very thorough description of everything needed to know and more, he was very knowledgeable. The test drive was great and the entire time I felt totally in control of the show and sale process and never felt someone was just trying hard to sell me something. When it came time to start negotiating purchase price, John totally felt like he was our advocate. When presenting us with each offer he never pushed back with my counter offers and would hear out my concerns and preferences and take them to the back office without hesitation, until I finally had an offer I couldnt refuse. They were pretty busy and John personally entertained my boyfriend and I during the idle waiting periods and made us feel right at home. When it finally came down to go to the finance manager to finalize everything and sign all the paperwork, our experienced remained just as positive. Rezaul presented us with options that made sense for us to consider and never felt any pressure whatsoever to decide on purchasing additional options or services. He as well felt like our advocate and tried his hardest to get me the best rates. Like John, Rezaul also very knowleadgle, helpful and efficient. Both made sure we were more than 100% satisfied and had everything we needed, and extended their service to any time in the future shall we were to ever need anything. I cant stress enough how smooth and gratifying this process was, and never did I have to fight for what I wanted, or battle anyone in negotiations which is totally refreshing and beyond exceeded my expectations, which is why I was compelled to write this review because I never write reviews. And I LOVE my new car!!

Id like to give a shout out to the Nicholas Parks Hyundai Kia dealership to make my first-time car buying experience fun! (+1 point) After getting my 2002 Toyota Camry XLE serviced at my local auto shop, the repairs would cost me over $3K...and then some. Thats when I knew that it was time to buy a new car. I came across the 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport on www.cars.com. I sent a message via cars.com mobile app, inquiring about the car. I soon received an e-mail reply back from Josh Martinez (internet sales rep). We exchanged a few e-mails and set up an appointment within a week. I appreciated the prompt responses from Josh and a follow-up e-mail reminder of our agreed appointment. (+1 point) I brought my mom with me on the day of my appointment. We were instantly greeted upon arrival. As soon as I mentioned my appointment with Josh, we were asked to take a seat. Few minutes later, Josh came in and introduced himself to us. I mentioned that I parked my car in the nearest spot I saw available. Josh offered to re-park my car and then he would bring the car I inquired about for a test run. (+1 point) Josh let me inspect every inch of the car before driving it. He was very patient with me and professional. (+1 point) After the test drive, Josh let me inspect the car again when we arrived back to the dealership. (+1 point) Josh then introduced me to Dennis Guzman, his internet department manager. Dennis was very professional and patient. I appreciate the time he took to speak with my mom and I, trying to get to know us individually. (+1 point) I also appreciate the fact that after providing my pre-approved car loan from my credit union, Dennis offered to try to find me a better APR from other credit unions. Fortunately for me, my credit union had the better APR. After asking multiple questions and going over everything, Dennis and Josh were patient and more than happy to repeat all the information. They were also honest about the cost of my Camry when I traded it in. (+1 point) Josh then drove my mom and I to the nearest bank to get a cashiers check for my down payment. (+1 point) Afterwards, my mom and I were referred to Rezaul Bashar (finance manager) to sign paperwork. Although it was a long process, I appreciate the thoroughness of Rezaul. He let my mom and I double check over and over all the numbers and ensured I had a copy of everything. (+1 point) Rezual then introduced us to Ben De La Torre (inventory manager) to help me sign up for a free gas card. Ben was friendly and breezed through the process with ease. (+1 point) Thank you Josh, Dennis, Rezaul, and Ben! Four days later, I still love my car! Mom-approved and boyfriend-approved. Thank you guys for everything, especially treating my mom and I like family! 10/10 points :)

Costcos auto program directed us to Josh Martinez, Internet Sales Rep at this dealership. We purchased a 2017 Kia Optima EX, which is our first new car in 20 years. Its a truly beautiful car, and the pricing was fair. Thats the beauty of the Costco pricing: no haggling. Discovering it came with no "donut" spare tire, we asked to trade the temporary inflator kit it came with for a standard spare kit, as we consider that an important safety feature. Josh appealed to James Applebury, the dealerships general manager, who refused, explaining they had no control over how the car came equipped; but offered to sell us one at 10% off their dealer price. We opted for a 2017 genuine Kia 17" "donut" spare kit and tools from Amazon, at an even lower price, plus free shipping. Had it not been for that single "glitch," our buying experience would have been flawless.

I went into the Hyundai Kia dealership in San Leandro to trade in my 2013 Hyundai. Upon arriving I was greeting by Will who approached my sister and I as soon as we walked out of my car. He introduced himself and was very very professional. Almost like he knew exactly what I wanted. I test drove a 2016 Kia Optima and I was kind of nervous because it was brand spankin New but he made me feel at ease and was super funny! The time came to see some numbers and make some decisions and he made it very very very comfortable for me and made it very easy! We cracked a few jokes here and there and had a great time. He really took care of me like he said he would. Along with Nick who helped get some numbers lowered for me and Dustin who made the paperwork signing pretty fun with his hilarious stories. Will is a great employee and hes so so so helpful. I was able to purchase a brand new 2016 Kia Optima LX. Im so satisfied with the service that was provided. Though I didnt buy my 2013 Sportage here, I have brought my KIA here since I purchased it in March of 13. The current shared service space is a bit cramped but the service given the staff here makes up for it. Friendly and knowledgeable is an over used term but these guys are both and deserve to be called both. My experiences are routine to be fair as this KIA has not had any issues of note. But having said that, I have witnessed them being more than helpful with others who have had real problems and watched them solve even difficult stuff with ease.

I purchased a new 2016 Kia Sorento SXL from this dealer on 06/25/16 which took a week to execute this sale due to the being uncooperative with my credit union. Once those issues were resolved I drove the approx. 170 mi from where I live to this particular dealer to pick up my vehicle. Upon delivery I proceeded to drive back home in my new car & after bout 15miles or so the radio malfunctions ( no audio output from any source) and I immediately reverse direction and head back to the dealer. At that point I learn the dealer had previously known that this issue existed with this car but did not disclose this info to me prior to the sale. The salesman then informs me that there are parts on order for my vehicle. I drive the vehicle home (no audio period) and the following Monday I take it to my local dealer who could not replicate the issue (intermittent issue). My local dealer informs me that this vehicle shouldnt have been sold under this circumstance especially with unresolved issues. So fast forward, I get a call from the service dept affiliated with the dealer I purchased the vehicle from informing me that the part that was previously ordered to correct the radio issue has come in & when would I be able to bring the vehicle in. After I inform him of the distance I live from there and It would have to scheduled for a Saturday and Id like to take advantage of the free service (oil change) while I am up there which was agreed to. So they swap out the radio forget to service the vehicle and make me drive back again after I discover I cannot use my NAV because the didnt put the map card in the replacement unit. To this point this issue is still unresolved in-fact now with the replacement unit it seems the radio is inoperable more times than it is operable. In addition to all of this Ive discovered a couple of accessories ( cargo cover & net) that are included on the sticker were not included with my vehicle. Do yourself a favor and shop with a dealer who has the customer in mind and one that displays high values in customer service & satisfaction as I can attest that this is not one.
