"Made My First Car-buying Experience A Nightmare"

I bought my Nissan Rogue (which I love) in the beginning of December of 2013 from Meadowlands Nissan and swear I will never deal with this dealership ever again. I am from Pennsylvania and bought my car here. They gave me a temporary registration that was good for 1 month and told me they would take care of all the paperwork for my new registration and license plate and express mail it to me, which I thought was great. Well after 1 month passed, they still hadnt sent me my registration or license plate and every time I called they could never give me an answer, would transfer me to numerous people who still couldnt help me, and would end up telling me there was nothing they could do because since it was around the holidays the people who took care of those matters were off and didnt put my paperwork through and they couldnt give me another temporary registration. I even tried going to a title and registration store in PA and they couldnt do anything either because Meadowlands Nissan had all of my paperwork in limbo. The workers from the PA title and registration store even called Meadowlands Nissan themselves because they could not believe the situation I was in and wanted to help me. But nonetheless, Meadowlands gave them the same inconclusive answers they gave me every single time I called. For an entire month while I was also paying my auto insurance on my Rogue, I was unable to drive my brand new AWD vehicle in the middle of a terrible winter (the main purpose for buying a new car was to have a vehicle appropriate for my long commute from PA to NY everyday for work) but instead it sat in my driveway unused. I had planned on selling my front wheel drive car but instead had to keep paying for the insurance for that also and had to drive that on the snowy roads and put more miles on it for a month before I could sell it. Two months after I paid in full for my vehicle, I finally received my title and license plate. But at least I love my Rogue!

I am super late writing this review but I *had* to do it now, 2 years later. LOL. Buying our car from Meadowlands Nissan (February 2012) was our first car buying experience. We were so nervous because there so many horror stories about car dealers, car salesmen tactics and the like. We did extensive research on car dealers and decided to go with Meadowlands Nissan because of their awesome reviews and great reputation. What we loved the most is when we walked into the dealer we didnt feel overwhelmed. We werent greeted by a bunch of fast talking salesmen all trying to get our business. We were able to look around and not feel under pressure. Once we were ready, Andrew Szorf was our sales guy. He was greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeat!!!! Excellent sales guy. He made us feel very comfortable and he came across as trustworthy. We already knew which car we wanted to purchase and that is the exact car he got us in. We walked into the dealer late evening and drove our car off the lot that same night. The entire process went so smoothly. Now it is time for our daughter to purchase a car and she will be purchasing from Meadowlands Nissan and Andrew Szorf will be her sales guy! It!s been 2 years 3 months since purchasing our pre-certified Nissan Altima and we still love it. It has not given us any problems at all and even though we live in NY, we still take it for service and routine maintenance at Meadowlands Nissan as well. Just a side note regarding service and maintenance --- Mike Grimaldi is amazing!!! Such an honest, genuine, fair and sincere guy. We trust him. He ALWAYS goes above and beyond for us and explains in detail what our car needs, what needs to fixed asap, what can wait, etc. He is absolutely honest! And honesty means everything to us.
