As a Hoffman customer for over 20 years I have been fortunate to work first with Rocky S. and now Dan C. in the Service Department. Their professionalism and knowledge represent the business face of Hoffman Auto in a superior way. Their courtesy, respect, attentiveness and patience reflect the personal face of Hoffman Auto. Both Rocky and Dan have brought me to see the area to be repaired on my car. The mechanic working on the car would also take me through the steps of the planned repair. I never leave the dealership not being able to describe to someone else what repairs are being done and WHY. When I had concerns over the airbag recalls, Rocky brought out a prototype of the airbag and explained the dynamics of the airbag function and why they were being recalled. He reassured me several times that there are no recalls for my year Accord. When there was damage to my catalytic converter Dan and the mechanic showed me the damage before the repair was done. The courtesy shuttle drivers are responsible and attentive. The customer lounge is comfortable and calm. The flow of communication from the time you arrive until your car is brought back to the garage is seamless. The security I feel when driving my car off the lot is incomparable to any other dealer experience Ive had.

My wife, Susan, and I finalized the lease of our 2016 Honda Pilot on April 8, 2016. We turned in our 2013 lease 6 months early. When Susan went to the dealership in late March of this year, she had only planned on "checking out" the 2016 models. When she met with our Sales and Leasing Consultant, Alan Katz, Alan told her that she could turn in the 2013 lease in favor of the 2016 lease. He said that Hoffman would take the 2013 lease as is" and that they would make the remaining payments on that lease for us. Susan was very impressed with the 2016 model and Alan did a nice job of explaining everything to my wife. I didnt even get involved until the day we decided to trade leases and I put a down payment (deposit) down on the vehicle. We "closed on the vehicle about a week later. Time was needed to install a trailer hitch which we needed. Throughout the process, Alan Katz was very professional, helpful, knowledgeable and thorough. I even knew before April 8th exactly how much it would cost to purchase a new trailer arm or ball should what I had from the 2013 lease not worked. Alan took us to the car and explained all of the important features to us in great detail. We noticed that one of the tires was under inflated and Alan took us right to the Honda Service area in order to top of the air in the under inflated tire. Throughout the entire leasing process, I was impressed by Alans focus on detail and thoughtfulness. It was a pleasure to do business with him.. When it came to close on the 2016 lease, Alan put us in touch with the Business Manager, David Ezedine. David was also very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. All bases were covered in great detail. I ended up knowing exactly what I was getting when it came to the in and out Simonize treatment we had previously bought as well as coverage for a series of optional services we also accepted that day relative to paintless "dings" and "scratches" repair, replacement of lost key bobs, tire and wheel damage due to road hazard, 24 hour Roadside Assistance and windshield "chip" repair. I was initially reluctant to pay the extra money, but, David did a very good job of convincing me of the value of the optional plan even if only in terms of the peace of mind we gained from accepting it. I/we also thoroughly enjoyed doing business with David. Finally,, as part of the process, we even had an exit interview of sorts by one of the managers whose name escapes me. Apparently, Honda wanted to make absolutely certain that we were entirely pleased with the leasing process and that the final outcome of that process was in line with our expectations. My wife and I both thought that this was a nice "added touch". All in all we had a great experience with Hoffman Honda and we look forward to at least three years with our 2016 Honda Pilot..

I went into Hoffman Honda last Friday for an oil change on my 2012 Honda Civic. My lease was ending soon, and I wanted to start looking into options for when that time arrived. I walked over to the showroom floor to look at the new models. I was greeted by Robert Oleskewicz, who asked me if I needed any help. I explained to Robert that my lease would be ending next year, and that I wanted to start looking into options. Robert took me out to see the new CR-V models and I fell in love with a white 2016 CR-V. Robert was very knowledgable and walked me through all of the awesome safety features and tech options. Rob was very well-versed and genuinely excited about everything Honda has to offer without being pushy. After our test drive, it was time to talk numbers. As I was not expecting to trade in my Civic, I didnt have a lot to put down as a down payment. Robert was able to work with Jason Gunn (Sales Manager), and David Ezedine (Business Manager) to get me the lowest possible monthly payment. When it appeared as though the car of my dreams would be out of my reach, David assured me that he would personally speak to the supervisor at Honda Financial Services first thing Monday morning. Although that meant I couldnt take the SUV home with me that same day, I trusted that David would advocate for me, and that the wait would be worth it. I was right! David called me Monday afternoon to tell me the good news. I was so excited! The next morning, Robert walked me through the trade-in process and even made sure my iPhone was paired. After what felt like an eternity of signing and initialing documents, I was able to drive off in my new baby!!!! I am so grateful to the entire team at Hoffman Honda, especially Robert. Hoffman Hondas service department is awesome. Janetta Marrero and service team took care of my 2001 Honda CRV like no other dealership. This was my first visit to Hoffman and it certainly wont be my last. Although I didnt purchase the car from them they treated me like I had been a customer for years. I had a major problem with my CRV but I wasnt willing to give it up since its been a great car for me. Well, Schaller brushed me aside and bascially told me to say good bye to the CRV.. After doing some research I though Id give Hoffman a try as i was looking for a second opnion. Boy,Im glad i did. They took the time to pinpoint the problem and told me what could be done to fix my CRV. Janetta Marreo worked diligently to get me all the facts so that i could make an informed decision. There was no rushing on her part and she explained everything to me. She also provided me with a loaner on such short notice. Not many dealerships provide loaners anymore. Ultimately I wound up leasing a car from another dealer due to Hoffman not having the color car we were looking for which was an important consideration. I have worked with Joe before and find him consistently easy to work with and motivated to please you as a customer.He can be quite entertaining as well, with a great sense of humor that fosters a human connection which eases the tension of going about the serious business of buying a new car..Unfortunatly, the bottom line is if the dealer doesnt have the car your looking for you have to go elseware.

I found the service in Honda Hoffman is excellent. They dont try to rip you off to get your fee for service at a highest possible price. They actually looking ahead to fix your car at reasonable price so you would come back in case you need their help and looking to keep you as a long term customer. They do reward the customer who does all the necessary and recommended maintenance. I had 2 Honda cars and my 3rd one will be again Honda. My warranty finished and something that was broken was fixed at a portion of a price. I came to dealership with 3 kids ages from 3 to 14 and they were all occupied while waiting - the older kids went on computers and little one to the play room. we later got a ride home while they worked to make necessary repairs. We recently purchased a 2015 Honda Accord Sport from Hoffman. Our salesman, Charles Ijomah was getting his feet wet with handling our transaction. We both feel that Charles will be a great asset to the Hoffman family. He was very helpful,kind and courteous. Ultimately we were happy with the overall experience but there were a few glitches . One being no air conditioning when we picked up the vehicle on a day where the temperature hit the mid 90s. Two our appointment with the financing person was for 5:00pm. We didnt sit down with her until 6:30pm. A call to us beforehand would have saved us a prolonged wait in very warm circumstances. She did do a very good job once we started the process and expedited everything in a timely manner. Would we recommend Hoffman to our friends ? A very strong yes! Would we recommend Charles Ijomah our salesman to our friends? again a very strong yes.

Alan Katz came out and greeted me. I began asking him questions about the Pilots on the lot and ended up taking one for a test drive. After weighing my options I decided to lease a new Pilot. Unfortunately, they had no new Pilots available, and as it turns out, there was a very short supply of these vehicles. Alan worked extremely hard to find me a car in a timely manner. Once I purchased the car, Alan followed up several times to make sure I was happy with the car and satisfied with my experience at the dealership. Alan was very helpful and worked very hard to make sure I was a satisfied customer.

This is the second car weve bought from Hoffman Honda because they make the whole process feel more like buying a car from a friend rather than a dealer - no pressure, no come-ons, simply polite and engaged people trying to make the experience pleasant. TJ Kudla treated us wonderfully, making sure we could make an informed decision about the model that was best for us. The negotiations were quick and completely painless - and he even came to our house to have us sign a form we forgot. Thanks also to Jen DiPinto and David Ezedine who were terrific in helping us through the process. Theres no question where well go when its time to replace our other car.
"Poor Experience At Hoffman Honda"
Our first (and last) experience at Hoffman Honda left a lot to be desired. My husband and I were buying our first car and went on the recommendation of his parents, who had frequented Hoffman for years. When we arrived, we were greeted by Rob O, who, for the most part, did a fine job answering our questions and pushing the car sale. We test drove two cars and decided we were quite interested in one of them. The manager, Jason, came over to try to close the sale, first offering a lower price, then lower monthly payments. We said wed be interested in a lower price, and he offered a monthly payment of $215, down from $230. We assumed that, with a reduced monthly payment, that meant that the price of the car had also been reduced, given that we had said we were interested in negotiating the price and this was his response to that desire. In fact, it was simply a lower rate, which we discovered in our meeting with the dealers finance department, which was not desired or necessary. We still had another dealership to visit, so my husband and I let Rob O know we would return if we were interested in the car. We visited another dealership, and decided we were still most interested in the car at Honda, and returned a little over an hour later. The manager, Jason, approached us and snarkily commented, "Ill bet you just went to lunch, didnt you?" After setting the record straight, we sat down with Rob O again to purchase the car. Once we had finished the paperwork with Rob, we went to meet with the finance department. As we went through all the details, it became clear that we had been given an additional level of warranty coverage beyond the powertrain warranty, which came with the car at no additional cost (certified, pre-owned). The finance person implied that this was incorrect and that the bumper to bumper was simply part of the deal. We protested and he admitted that they had added it without asking, at additional cost. Ultimately, we chose to take that coverage, but it was not explained as an option by anyone at any phase of the deal until then. There were countless small charges on the final sale that pushed costs much higher than the sticker price. Any inquiries on our part were met with hand-waving and doubletalk (for example: a $200 fee for etching the VIN number on the window - when we asked where to find this number, we were told its often invisible). After we took the car home, we learned that one of the electronic keys did not work. We called to inquire about bringing it back. Rob said we could bring it at any time. We passed the key to my father-in-law, who lives near the dealer. He drove over and was told they needed the car there to fix the key. So we retrieved it from him, and I stopped again when we drove through on our way out of town for a vacation. I arrived a little after four and asked about fixing the key. Rob said hed check and went away. He came back and insisted that the service department was about to leave so Id have to come back. I insisted that they fix it now - we had driven over an hour to reach their dealership and were leaving for several weeks. Jason, the manager came over. He tried to stall and asked if we had the car. Of course - I drove it up there. Then he said hed need the other key, too. We had that as well, luckily, though no one had told us that was necessary either. Finally, Jason threw Rob under the bus and said Rob probably hadnt even asked the service department if they could fix it. So they took the key off and the service department worked on it. Meanwhile, as I sat in the dealership, Rob and Jason walked by and asked me repeatedly, "Are you happy now?" It was rude and sarcastic. As I left, Jason yelled in that same tone, "Have a great vacation." We communicated this to the dealer when the service department called to inquire about our recent service on the key. They were asking specifically about service, not sales, but the woman on the phone promised to send our complaint

I just purchased my first Honda from Hoffman Honda last week. The dealership is big, bright and they have a very large selection! My experience with Jason and Sarah was very pleasant and professional. I ended up having an issue the day after I purchased the car. I have to say that Tyrell Dabrowski and Jason Gunn were not just giving me lip service , but were empathetic to my concern. They both came through for me and earned my repeat business in the future. Thanks Guys! In retail, customer service and the customer being happy is supposed to be first priority. Today however, MANY companies are lacking in this dept. These two gentleman absolutely stepped up and showed me Hoffman Honda has customer satisfaction at the top of their mission!

A master negotiator, yes, but we still left feeling we had gotten a great deal and an excellent price for our trade in. A friend recently bought a car from Hoffman and advised that she got a great deal and great service so I thought that Id stop in. Im glad I did! I had used Hoffmans service before, but as my old Honda lasted 13 years I hadnt needed to buy a car since moving to CT. Anyway, my experience at Hoffman sales was super pleasant! Everyone there was very helpful and not at all aggressive (my husband was the one who pushed for the upgraded car!). Hats off to Robert, the sales person, who took the time to listen to what I needed in a vehicle and then directed me towards the Honda Pilot. Robert was extremely polite and took the time to show me all of the systems in the car and answer all of my questions (this requires much patience as I am not all savvy with electronics). Brian, the sales manager, came through with a fair price on both my trade and on the new vehicle. He tirelessly went through the financing options (including lease vs buy) so that I could make the best decision. They even stayed a half hour past closing so that we could really crunch the numbers. Finally, Michael walked me through the paperwork and advised of the different service plans available. As I tend to keep my cars for a very long time, I was thrilled to be able to purchase (for a very reasonable rate) a plan that covers all needed services/repairs to the car for 7years/125k miles. Im looking forward to returning to Dan, who had done a great job servicing my old Honda, for service. Overall, I could not have asked for a more professional teams then the Sales & Service groups at Hoffman. Although I was very attached my old CR-V a shed a few tears over giving it up, Ive had the new Pilot for a week now and I love it! Robert did a great job in helping me choose the best car : )

My wife and I just happily purchased a 2015 Odyssey Touring from Hoffman Honda on December 23. We had already researched pricing on Odysseys at a number of dealerships and decided to go to Hoffman Honda as we felt it had the best competitive pricing among CT Honda dealerships that we had contacted. We first communicated with Jessica Andreoli, their internet sales representative to get some pricing on Odysseys. She was great and friendly. She responded to any question or inquiry within hours succinctly, accurately and ultimately, with the right ballpark on pricing for us. She quickly understood what we were looking for, and gave us some quotes and invited us to visit the dealership. After a few exchanges and quotes, we took Jessica up on her offer. We went to Hoffman Honda around Thanksgiving. It was everything you would expect a first class dealership to have. It was extremely clean, pleasant looking, well lit, and spacious with amenities while you wait. Everyone greeted you with a smile and hello. We met with Mike Audet. He was the first person who met us at the door. Actually, he came out to meet us. We could not have been happier he did. He was fantastic. If there was a question he could not answer, he made sure he got us the answer. He never tried to pressure or push us into buying. Rather, he reviewed our options, showed us whatever vehicle or option we wanted to see and let us go at our own pace. No high pressure sales tactics, just great friendly service. He was patient, happy, professional, friendly and easygoing. There was no bait and switch. Mike made sure that we started with the price range that we had previously discussed with Jessica. We left very close to deal. Unfortunately, as we were about to call to accept the offer the next day, Mike called to tell me that they had just sold the Odyssey Touring we were interested in that morning. We were disappointed at first, but within about a week or two, Mike had lined up the exact same model and color Odyssey for us at the same price we had been discussing -- we just had to wait a few more weeks for it to arrive. Mike extremely responsive to our calls and emails as we finalized our deal and made arrangements to come back in. He always made sure that his manager approved any offer he made to avoid any misunderstanding and called us back or emailed within hours. We went back to the dealership and purchased the car two days ago. The final process was painless and quick. The purchase numbers were exactly what we had previously agreed upon. There were NO high pressure sales tactics to upsell any expensive add-ons that most dealerships do. Mike and their finance guy (very friendly and nice too, except we forgot his name -sorry for not being able to mention it) explained and asked about a few extras quite pleasantly and if you indicated that you were not interested, they did not pressure you and moved on. My wife and I looked at each other in pleasant surprise as we had expected to be pressured hard on some extras like many dealerships do, which would have been a big turnoff as we were not interested in them and did not want a hard-sell. But they were very fair and did not overdo it all. Jason Gunn, the Sales Manager, made sure we were taken care of and that the process was quick, painless and exactly as we had agreed. They gave us a fair price for our trade in and the lowest price on the Odyssey than any other CT dealer had offered with fantastic down to earth service. We would go back in a heartbeat and would enthusiastically recommend Mike Audet if you want to buy a Honda. If you want to start on the internet, ask for Jessica. Make sure that Jason is there to look out for you when you visit. We really felt they all went to bat for us. Overall, it was a great buying experience that did not take up too much time and we are very happy with them and our new vehicle. We would give everyone more than 5 stars if we could!

We found a Certified used Pilot online, and so we knew exactly what car we wanted when we went to the dealership. Robert, the sales guy, was incredibly helpful, efficient, and respectful of our time. He took us for a test drive, got our trade-in appraised (at a good price!), and sent us out the door in our new car before lunch. The price was fair and the service was excellent. David, the finance manager, and everyone else we met was friendly and helpful. The facility is a little tricky because the parking lots are a little tight - lots of new cars to worry about bumping into if you arent careful! But its definitely worth visiting if you are looking for a new or used car. They will treat you right.

From salespeople that balk at delivering what was agreed upon in the deal, to a finance manager that misrepresented the Hondacare service contracts terms, the only good thing about this place is that they sell Hondas. Michael Viara (business manager) seemed like he knew what he was doing until we tried to cancel the service contract purchased on our certified pre-owned vehicle. Its been a month since I was assured by him that our contract has been cancelled (its not, as of the time of this review). The only reason he returned one of my 10+ phone calls and messages was because I filed a customer service complaint with Honda of America. Ive waited to write this review, hoping that the situation would be resolved but it hasnt been.
