"Purchased A New Prius Prime From Out Of State"
We live in Chicago and wanted to buy a Prius Prime. However, in Chicago the Prime is special order and takes between 3 and 6 months to arrive. The only near-term options are California and New England states. So, I started a phone search for a new car after my wife and I test drove one a month ago while vacationing in Massachusetts. In shopping around I discovered Prime Toyota of Maine. The overall experience was excellent from the first phone call. Follow-up from both the initial calls (Norm in Internet sales) as well as the main logistics of the purchase (our sales associate, Courtney Brunelle) was exceptional. Truly unmatched by anyone else I had talked to. The price quote I received was very reasonable and without games. They did not actually have the exact vehicle we wanted (trim level, color, interior) but agreed to locate one. They found it in one day. I immediately received a spec sheet as well as the out-the-door price quote that exactly matched what was promised. One week later, my wife and I flew into Portland to purchase the car. We arrived the evening before our appointment with Courtney. The next morning, Courtney sent a shuttle to our hotel to pick us up to go to the dealership. Once there, everything was straightforward with no pressure. We went through the paperwork, had a pleasant session with David in finance, and were finished with the transaction. They even accepted a personal check for the purchase (this was a cash purchase). Seems remarkable to me as we were out-of-state buyers. Courtney answered all of the questions we could think of regarding the car and we were on our way. During the process, I had located a few dealers that had the exact car we wanted and at a price I was willing to pay. But in the end, we decided to go with Prime because of their responsiveness and customer treatment during my research. It was a much longer drive home than other options would have been (western Massachusetts, Connecticut, e.g.), but with a long-distance purchase, relationship was important to me and my sense was that Prime would be the best dealer. My wife and I are both quite satisfied that we made the right choice (and we both hate buying cars). The mutual trust made it all very pleasant and low-stress. When it comes time to replace my own car in a couple of years, I would be tempted to work with them again. This time we had to because the vehicle my wife wanted was special and there were no good local options. That will likely not be the case next time around. But, I will at least think about it.

Berto assisted us with sales and we found him to be VERY professional, knowledgable and willing to help in any way he could. Berto went the extra mile for us to get the vehicle we were looking for. "Unexpectedly Attractive Price"
Crisp and clean purchase, an obvious reflection of the showroom and facilities. With a history of 15 Toyotas I was delighted with the service and attitude of Jeff who takes his cues from upbeat surroundings. The staff made the car buying experience ( which can be more painful than a root canal)a delightful evening. We bought our Camrys from border to border and coast to coast, and this was the most pleasant of all. With no trade in, Prime made comparison shopping a breeze and we are pleased with the result.
"Stick To A Tire Shop"
I ordered four tires for my wifes Tacoma . Went on 4/26/17 to Prime Toyota to have them installed .I had the aftermarket wheels in the back of the truck which are for summer tires. Checked in with the service person said I had an appointment . He said it would be 1 1/2 to 2hours said it ok and went to the lounge. About 15 minutes later the service person came to see me. He said my sticker was expiring next month (May) would I like to renew it, I said yes. About two hours into it he calls me over into the childrens play room in a low tone says they cant put the wheels on the truck because they have no TPMS valves on them . He said that He has been working here for 25 years and was unaware of the law. He later gave me a copy of the law. It was instituted in 2005 he is right on top of His safety bulletins. I should have been told this prior to having four tires mounted . I said OK and would put them on myself . About 1/2 hour later He said the truck was ready. I paid my bill and started to head out . The service person says " Oh by the way one tire took three ounces on weights and is marked RR to put on the right rear on the truck . I didnt think much of it at the moment so I headed out. Once in the truck noticed the sticker hadnt been changed. Went back in to see him . He asked if there was a problem? They forgot to put the new sticker on I said . He then started scurrying through his paper work and says that He forgot to transfer it? Come back in He says we will put one on for free. Told him that I didnt have the time had to be somewhere shortly. I left in discuss. Once I had left I was thinking that if I have to put it on the right rear what is going to happen when I rotate the tires like your supposed to . I called them the next morning. I asked the service person I spoke to why do I have to put the tire on the right rear. His response was this was the furthest away from the driver so you dont fell the vibration . I the asked how will I rotate the tires His response was ah ah ah let me connect you with the service person you had yesterday. Once connected with Him I asked Him the same questions Oh it might not be bad I just spent $495.53 for tires that may vibrate the heck out of the truck. He said it had to be a bad wheel bent or something . We never had a problem prior to this the tires were all evenly worn with no vibrations . If it was that bad they shouldnt have put a tire on it. Why did He wait till it was paid for and I was walking out the door to tell me . I told Him that I didnt put the tires on the truck yet, and I was returning them. He says it dont work that way. I told him they wouldnt guarantee no vibration so I didnt want there tire. He then says you were shop teacher how do you balance a wheel. I explained it to him. He says you dont balance the tire you balance the wheel. I explained to Him you balance the entire assembly. He was then getting agitated as was I. Itold HIm I would blast this experience on the web. His response was Im going to blast your name all over the place too. I thought His personal attack on me was very unprofessional. I didnt use his name. We own two Tundras one Tacoma and a Silverado . You can bet that We wont be returning to Prime service . Oh by the way they did do a nice job of washing the truck even though it was raining !

Every person at this dealership is honest, fair and trustworthy. There is never any pressure to purchase, everything is displayed in clear terms. Service is also great and very efficient as well.

Today I received a check in the mail for $29.70 I had written a review of last months repair as always Fred in service was great , my car was towed in as my steering mechanism was on the blink. I was able to rent a car for 6 day quickly as I had to leave for New York for a wedding and then to Boston for a Doctor appointment . Considering what my morning was like I was only 3 hours behind scheduled plan. I was able to get towed right away with the help of AAA and then I called Fred in service (Love him he always remembers me ) He got me connected to get a rent a car quickly and my car was ready when I returned on Tuesday. I was late returning the car as me chemo was running late at the hospital (I was two hours late returning the car ). Feedback is important and I mentioned it on my last review . Today I received a check for the extra day of car rental charged. Thank you for reading the review and thank you for the check and thank you for always being on top of things Fred.

We were on vacation from out of state and pulled onto the lot to see what was available. Most salespeople would run away seeing someone from out of state wanting to test drive vehicles (which we did experience at other stores) - but not Denise Freitas. She was great by providing us the opportunity to compare several vehicles while never pressuring us to make a decision. She answered all our questions patiently and worked to arrange for an out of state registration. We would recommend Denise to anyone looking for a professional to assist them with a buying decision.

We bought a Toyota Prius here a couple of years ago. The service package seemd like a good deal, so we purchased it. Unfortunately, it has been very difficult to get in for a servicing. I have already missed two, now going on three, services for which I paid in advance. When I call to make an appointment, they usually do not have anything available for at least a week and the times available are not convenient to me. Wish I had never bought the package. I have bought cars from several dealerships over the past 25 years and have never had an experience like this. If you buy a car here, do not buy the service package.

I found a vehicle on the internet at one of their sister dealerships in MA. They shipped it up to Maine for me to come in and check it out. Once at the dealership there was no pressure or "used car salesman tactics" to get me to buy the vehicle. I was very pleased with the overall experience and especially how respectful and hard working everyone seemed to be. I dealt with Denise Freitas when buying my 4Runner. She was very easy going and quick to find any answers to questions that I have had. This is a dealership I would go out of my way to buy again from thanks to Denise!

My opinion of prime Toyota after 3 Camrys has become less than complimentary to say the least. I dont know why Im wasting my time to complain, I must have better things to do, however, sometimes you just have to vent. I am convinced at this point in our dealings with Prime Toyota, once you dont represent $$$s potential to them you go way down on their priority list !!! I have called them after our latest purchase with a customer service issue on several occasions and get nothing but a run around. I am not impressed by the fancy facilities or the attire worn by their staff. It is still just another car dealer telling what you want to hear and not following through. The buying experience is usually an all day affair, as you hang and hang and hang wondering whats going on. And the business people have failed to resolve my issue and dont bother to return calls . Enough time wasted, all I can say is Im glad my doctor and hospital dont operate like this.

I recently started my third lease with Prime Toyota in Saco in the past 6 years. This time I had the pleasure of working with Jillian Rooks as my sales consultant. She was very easy to work with and is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the lease and cars. She also did a great job at explaining the process and listening to my requests/needs. I would recommend Jillian to anyone looking to buy or lease a car and I will gladly work with her again in the future! The only thing I dont like about ANY dealerships is how long the process takes from test driving to approval to all the paper work to the back and forth with managers, etc. I have excellent credit, my leased vehicles never come in damaged and I never go over my miles. I do my homework before hand and know what I want when I go in so it feels like the process should be a lot faster. It makes for such a long day and overstimulation. Luckily Prime has a very comfortable setting/amenities which I do appreciate.

"Almost Effortless..."
We love Toyota Rav4s and wanted to trade in our 02 for a newer one. We had several courteous and professional communications via email with the online manager before visiting the dealership. When we showed up, the salesman, Jason Defelice, met us immediately and walked us through the process. We knew exactly what we wanted (down to the individual used car in their inventory), what we wanted for a trade, and our bottom-line price. As always, there was haggling, but very soon we reached agreement and the deal was done quickly thereafter. The entire process was pleasant and there was absolutely no weirdness or hard-sell. We walked in, said, "that one," went back and forth on price once, took a test drive, shook hands, wrote the check, sorted things out with the business guy (very pleasant, even at 9:30 at night), got in the new car and left. Best car buying experience in 35 years. I hate the car-buying process because I always feel totally out of my element. This was about as close to a perfect buying experience as I can imagine.

I would have to say I have purchased many vehicles from this dealership over the years. Until this last deal in which they have lost a good customer. I wont go into details but it felt like I needed a shower after I bought the vehicle. They told me that they would make things right but never did. I will be looking for another dealer in the future.

I do not like going car shopping, especially for used cars. I have to say though, that my recent experience with Prime Toyota was a very good experience and went much better than I had hoped. There was a small glitch dealing with the finance person, but the sales person was great. The sales manager called back to see how the sale went and I mentioned a few things and he scheduled me right away to take care of those things. Even gave me a car for the day to use when it was being fixed. The car didnt have a manual, but again, the sales people pulled through and there is one available that I will pick up. Thank you Prime for a great experience. So far, loving the car. Will definitely come to you again for my business.

Jason De Felice (JD) made his first sale to us 3 years ago when we purchased our Toyota Camry LE at Prime Toyota in Saco. He was brand-new, however he took charge and got everything done like a seasoned pro. He has a great personality and we enjoyed the experience. We just purchased another Toyota Camry Le on April 12, 2014. We insisted on Jason as we knew wed get another super experience, JD did not disappoint - top class all the way. It was very windy that day and we were in the back looking at cars when I realized the folder I had left on the seat of the cart he drove us out in had blown away. We were running all over picking up pieces of paper; the most important was our current registration. He incorporated a few other employees and they quickly found the registration just as it was to go into the water (just inches away). Whew! We will always ask for Jason in our next purchase in 2017. I just recently bought a Prius from prime Toyota and I will never buy from them again. They gave me an attitude and delayed the car buying process when I told them I would be financing though a local bank due to the troubles I had with the financing on my last at which was though a dealership. There was also a cigarette burn in the back seat which they did not mention in the prime certified description and they tried to hide it when I picked up the car which made me very mad and makes me wonder what else they have hidden and I dont know about.

Codys follow up after the sale was very impressive. Received e-mails, text messages, and phone calls. Scheduled remote starter install, side strips and front and back mats.Things went well except mats were not installed on delivery and it took longer then expected. Everyone worked to correct situation. Would recommend Prime to anyone looking for a car

I just bought a dodge dakota from jim c. I have been looking at a lot of dealers, this dealership had the best truck at the best price. I plan on doing a lot of fishing, my old truck just was not going to make. very happy with the truck, had a little problem with brakes, Prime Toyota fixed the problem at no cost to me.
