I work in the hospitality field so I KNOW what true hospitality is all about...the people at Lia of Northampton KNOW how to make you feel great about your car buying experience. I started my experience with Reggie from internet sales. He was amazing from the very start and made me feel like he truly cared. He contacted me via email, phone, and even text due to my busy schedule as a front desk manager at a busy hotel. Reggie MADE me want to come into Lia of Northampton to begin with. I was a little nervous once Reggie informed me that he would be passing the torch to another salesmen since I had felt that he had done such a good job.... until I was introduced to Joel. Joel wasted no time introducing himself to myself and my family and finding out everything that I wanted. He listened to ALL of my wants and needs just like Reggie did and worked with his team until the very end to get the PERFECT monthly payment for me. He was patient, kind, understanding, and NEVER felt like an actual salesman (if that makes any sense). He made me feel completely comfortable. He made me WANT to buy at Lia. ( We had previously gone to Baslise honda in west Springfield and Reggie and Joel were just making them look insane to be honest. ) He did everything he could to make me happy, and HAPPY IS WHAT I AM! I ended my car buying experience with the hardest part! The part when you meet with the finace manager and sign all of the papers and add more stuff which usually makes you feel like crying lol.... Evan made this process the best it could possibly be! He was funny and charismatic. He taught us about our options, and made everything superclear and easy to understand. He gave us time to think options over and totally understood that making these decisions were tough and took time. All of this whole making us laugh! I left there after signing all those papers with the best feeling and knowing we made the right decision buying from Lia Honda. As well as Scott, Sam Bricault took the time to go over every detail of the vehicle and helped me program the settings! She is very knowledgeable and made sure to answer any question I had. Ive been doing business with Mike Lapointe and the Lia Honda Northanpton crew since I leased my first Fit in March of 2011 and have had consistently excellent experiences with the dealership, from the sales and finance staff to the folks in the service department... I went in earlier this week to discuss options on an exchange for my 2013 Fit, and Cam Pinkham and Jeff Wundt put me behind the wheel of a beautiful 2017 Fit . The entire Lia team was friendly, patient, and gave me all the options available until we came up with a deal that meets all of my driving, maintenance, and finance needs.... "Poor Customer Service"
We purchased a used car, not sure what was inspected on it. We were told car was gone through when came to dealer. They do not check anything again. We are still waiting for service records done on it prior to us buying, dont even know when oil was changed. This car was purchased on 2/11/17, been 2 weeks nothing. The only good experience was with the service manager, he fixed a couple things on car right away for us a couple days after buying car. Once they get your signature, forget it they dont want to know you. Never buy from Lia again.
"Best Car Buying Experience - Used 2015 Civic Sedan"
Eric Anderson was great. He got that I didnt need to be sold a car. I had two on the lot picked out before I arrived. He had no problem letting me take each out for a nice long drive. I made my pick and then Eric and Evan Mihalek took care of all the details quickly. Also, LIA seems to price their cars realistically so you dont have to go through the whole song and dance like at other dealerships. Really like that! Based on my experience I recommend you head into LIA for your next car.

"Very Pleased With Used Car Purchase"
I picked out a 2009 Nissan Sentra from the Lia website and contacted them via the site to say I was interested in the car. I received a quick response, and made an appointment to see it. Eric Anderson was there to show us the vehicle and let me test drive it. I decided to buy it, and Eric was very helpful, and took care of a few minor issues I had, i.e. a faded tint in the back window, and a haze on the plastic headlight covers, as well as a few scuffs on the paint. He took care of us as if it were a brand new vehicle. We are very pleased with Erics efforts, and highly recommend him and the other folks at Lia Honda!

We just bought a 2016 Honda Pilot with the help of Ashley Lewkowicz. Ashley was very helpful throughout the entire process. She was professional and courteous. We had a hard time finding the exact Pilot we wanted so it did require some time to actually get the car, but Ashley stayed on top of it and kept us informed and in the loop. Id buy another car in the future with Ashleys help!

Jim told us the fixes were not going to be quick so we decided to go with a new 2016 CRV. We picked out the car we wanted, everyone went out of their way to process the paperwork, prep it and get it ready for us to drive home. This is the best service experience I have ever had in a dealership. My 2010 Odyssey developed problems that left us stranded, and this is the only dealership that took care of it. Two other dealerships basically punted the problem where Lia tackled it. It required a major engine rebuild, and after that other problems surfaced and they carefully went over the vehicle and fixed everything. I was left with only a nominal fee for the parts that were in addition to the otherwise covered expenses. The service manager John and the service advisor Michael Allende were terrific to deal with. They were completely up front, did not minimize the problem or put it on me (as one dealership did), but owned it and fixed it. I bought this Odyssey from them, and they clearly stand behind their customers. When you purchase a vehicle, you often dont know what to expect from their service department. In this case, they will stand behind you, treat you courteously, and fix the problem. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

This was the third car my family has bought from Lia now. Soon as i got there I was looking for Casey Hines he had just put my wife in her first Honda of her own, and she said that she will never not be driving one ever again she loves her car. Casey was great as always very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately he had a delivery to do so he brought me to Koren O Sullivan who in the Lia Honda way friendly, knowledgeable and took great care of me by the end of my visit i was all set to roll out in my new 2016 Honda Civic. We are loving this car it is everything and more that Koren said it would be. Not a day has gone by that i come out of work or a store and have someone standing in front of my car asking about it. The initial meeting with Eric was great and the process of the sale was friendly, honest and with no pressure. Once we got to the the business manager the warranty sales / discussion was too dawn out. It could have been done in 15minutes. We came with our own financing so there were some jabs that were thrown our way because we did not go with Lias financing. This was not appreciated but given how some dealerships respond when you show up with your own financing it was not a total surprise.

"Honda Unhappiness"
I have been a loyal Honda patron for 24 years, and for the last 12 at Lia Honda,formerly Northampton Honda. Today, I had a scheduled oil change at 10 a.m. which normally takes about 45 minutes to an hour to complete. Today, however, I was still waiting until 12;15 when the service clerk approached me after he noticed me angrily speaking to the service manager about the delay. He proceeded to tell me that the bolt that holds to oil pan had broken off and needed to be replaced. If that didnt work, a new oil pan would have to be installed at a cost of upwards of $300. I agreed to a new plug, which I was told would be another wait. Well. that set me off more, considering that problem should have been discovered much earlier. Job completed with no charge to me. That took some of the sting out, but I was still left with a less than satisfied feeling. Oil change.... THREE hours! I have always been satisfied with the service here, but if today had been my first visit, it certainly would have been my last, and the jury is still out as to whether I will return in the future.

Had a horrible experience at Balise in west springfield and was treated very poorly after they changed (raised) the quote on our negotiation. I then went to Lia honda and explained my experience with Balise and they took great care of me. Remer was extremely helpful and honest in sales. Once purchased, Connie was the financial consultant that did all the paperwork for the new 2013 Honda Civic Ex I got. She was extremely nice and made this part of the deal stress free and quick. Best experience I have ever had at a dealership and this was my fifth Honda purchase between my wife and I. Will definitely go back for future purchases. Thank You!!!!
"Overall Way Better Than Expected!"
Was pleasantly suprised with buying experience here. Have bought many different vehicles at different dealerships, and none have been this honest or friendly as Lia of Nothampton. Totally recommend Ashley. She was honest, fair, and friendly. Even went out of her way to get a Toyota Sienna to let me test drive from another dealership. But ended up buying a 2010 Honda Odyssey here instead as I preferred its price and options. Was shocked to see actual Internet price was same as what dealership offered to me. No games or hidden fees. As with any dealership you have the same song and dance with price haggling. And although they wouldnt budge much on price, it was still a good deal. Which is reason why I went there to begin with. Ashley was excellent and professional. And loan officer was OUTSTANDING also. They even suprised me with a new battery on day I picked it up. The only cons I can say was the detailing/cleaning wasnt very great (still see splash sticky soda on a van door. It is really quite a bit so shouldnt be missed) and tank only 1/4 full. But these are both minor to me. As I got a great deal, great service, and finally a pleasent buying experience. Will definitely buy from again.

I bought a used, low mileage 2002 Odyssey that needed some cosmetic attention. As part of the deal they had some body work done, and they serviced the van as well. The body work came out beautiful and they did an excellent job cleaning it up, even under the hood. They really went above and beyond when servicing it too. They determined the rear vents were operating too slowly and therefore needed replacement, and they also changed the wipers, tires, and the battery. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with - the saleman Brian, the sales mgr, the person who did the purchase papers, the woman who took my money, and the mechanic who changed the battery. Very professional and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend giving them a visit and will not hesitate to go back for another vehicle.

I recently needed to visit the service department, they also were very helpful. They had to order a part, told me when it would be in and delivered as promised. I recently purchased a new Honda Fit at Lia Honda and the overall experience greatly exceeded my expectations. My salesman was straightforward, knowledgable and had great customer service skills. The finance manager was patient and answered all of my questions completely and, it seemed, balancing my financial interests with those of the dealership. This experience flew in the face of all the unpleasant stories about car buying that Id heard before. I drove away from the dealership in my new car feeling accomplished AND feeling like a got a great deal!! ***FYI I did do quite a bit of research before walking into the dealership to buy. I would highly suggest a new car buyer to know exactly what you want and how much you want to pay BEFORE stepping foot in the dealership.

I chose Lia of Northampton because a good friend of mine always has always had great experiences there. Though I have yet to actually purchase a car, I spent a great deal of time discussing options, driving cars and discussing the car buying process with Brian. I had originally put a few hundred down with intent to buy, but decided to hold off on purchasing a car until the summer-time. I was refunded my money within a timely manner. I found all the staff to be friendly and was happy to not be swindled as a 25-year-old single female.

I bought my car at Lia Honda several years ago, the first time Id ever bought a new car, but the process was smooth and easy. I felt little pressure from the dealer, and he seemed to listen to my concerns and questions, and helped me arrive at a decision that was right for me (even though I didnt buy the most expensive brand available or upgrades or things like that). That has prompted me to have almost all my car repairs and service done there, with the exception of some emergencies and annual emissions checkups, even though Ive moved away and now live closer to several other dealers. The repair crew is very good, the customer service has been excellent, and the prices are reasonable. Ive only had concerns about repairs/services once or twice, and theyve always rectified any problem. Id definitely recommend buying from Lia Honda and having a car serviced there.

I purchased my 2008 Honda Odyssey from the dealership brand new and have brough my van for service ever since. The service staff have always been helpful and friendly from scheduling to updating me while my van is being serviced. The waiting area is comfortable and the bathrooms clean. There are snack machines as well as free coffee and tea along with a large flat screen tv for customers to watch. When the time comes to start looking to buy a new vehicle I will definately start here!!! Thanks

Bought a new car. Staff was helpful, but wouldnt budge on the price. I bought anyway. Botton line is, I like my car (2012 civic). But thats a reflection on Honda, not the dealer.

My husband and I had a great experience purchasing a certified pre-owned CRV from Lia Honda (in June 2012). Dave helped us out- he gave us space, the information we needed and really fought to get us the price we wanted. I LOVE my CRV. It was a pleasant and painless process. Heather in the service department is also really helpful and friendly. I dont feel like one in a million people at Lia Honda. If we buy Honda again, we will definitely be going to see Dave again!

"Overall Horrible Experience"
Ive bought 2 previous cars from Lia in Northampton, but will never set foot on a Lia lot again. I went into Lia Honda to test drive a new CR-V. That experience itself was fine. We didnt come to a deal (they wanted more money down than I wanted to pay), which again, is fine. The issue is that I was asked to put a $500 down payment while they worked the deal. I was told that if we didnt come to terms, it would be immediately refunded. When I told them I didnt want the deal, I asked about the money and was told that they would refund it. 2 days went by and no $500. I went by the dealership and asked if they wanted me to swipe my card, and they said no, we were all set and that the GM just needed to sign it. We would be all set and Id have my money back. 2 more days went by...stll no money. I called again and was told the GM hadnt signed it yet because he had wanted to relook over the deal. They will get it done immediately, I was told. More days went by....still no money. I called again, and this time spoke to a sales manager and was told (by him) that apparently he is the only one there who knew what forms needed to be signed, and could I come down and sign them so I could get my money back. Seriously??? The sales manager cant even train his own team? By this point, 10 days had elapsed. This was the worst customer service I think I have ever had. They were all about my business when they thought it would benefit them, but they couldnt have cared less after I didnt buy the car. It was disgraceful.
"Good Experience But..."
Found a 1995 Cadillac Seville SLS with 21k miles. The car was as beautiful as presented on ebay. I got it for a reasonable price (except for the dealer doc fee). The only problems arose concerning keys and detailing. When I said I wanted 2 complete sets of keys, the salesman or Sales Manager said there were "plenty of keys." In actuality there were 2 sets of metal keys but only one remote. When confronted the Sales Manager, Pat, would not make a commitment "until Monday." I went to the General Manager, who had originally contacted me about the car and introduced himself when I first arrived at the dealership, who made it right immediately. When the car was delivered to my home town 4 days later, MA doesnt issue temp. tags, the car had been cleaned up some, but not detailed as promised. There was trash under the drivers seat, some sort of grass (NOT that kind) in the trunk and a hickory nut, hand grime on shifter knob, dirty windshield, etc. The car had not been waxed, carpets were not shampooed, nor the vinyl and leather thoroughly cleaned. The presentation of this car was disappointing, but I got a fine vehicle I am looking forward to owning for many years.
"Total Misrepresentation"
I called this dealership to get the details on a used truck they were advertising. Spoke in detail to a sales person and then had a follow up call with one of the managers. I explained that I wanted to know the EXACT condition of the vehicle before driving 70 miles to get there. The vehicle was totally misrepresented, and when I pressed them asking if they lied or they just had no clue on how to honestly evaluate the condition of a used vehicle they could care less. The bodywork looked like it had been done with a spray can in someones back yard. I have been buying new & used cars for more than 30 years and I can honestly say this is absolutely the worst experience I ever had. I would caution any potential buyer to stay as far away from these guys as possible. BUYER BEWARE

I was very dissappointed although the person that sold me the car was very helpful the manager of the dealer was horible. How can the leader have followers if he lacks professionalism and have no sence of what good customer service is. The two times I tried to speak to him he was very rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. Im surprise they are still in business with someone like that.

Unbelievable is the only way I can explain how my husband and I were treated by 2 Lia Honda employees. They were very manipulative and would tell my husband one thing and I the other. It was just a Nightmare!! It came down to the principal of how we were treated that determined that we just couldnt buy from Lia. Otherwise I would be driving a great CRV right now!!!!

i made an appointment to test drive a car, and when i got there (the same day), they told me that that the car wasnt there anymore and that they had sent it to auction. they did not apologize to me and they were rude. i would not recommend this dealership.
