"10 Hours For An Oil Change, Horrible Experience"
Horrible experience for an oil change, 10 hours long, no call to let me know job was done. I set up this service appointment 1 week before, got plenty of email reminders of date & time. I got there before 7 am. They didnt roll up the garage door until after 7. They had no record of my service appointment and asked me to hand write name & number. The only call I got that day was from a salesman asking if I was interested in selling the car back. After 8 hours, I called the service dept and kept getting voicemail for every single person. It took 30 minutes to get a hold of someone and another 30 minutes on hold for that person to locate my car. Between the train schedule & the shop closing I decided to go there without knowing if the service was done. The service was done and car parked along with other used cars. Their excuse was the service guy in charge of my car had called in sick. Im wary the car was actually serviced. I plan on moving my remaining services to Putnam.

We went to Melody Toyota as serious buyers with a CostCo membership. Although we told them the car and model when we made the appointment with CostCo they failed to have either of the cars they had on the lot which fit our description ready to look at for over 30 minutes. They couldnt find them. But what was most irritating was that the sales manager failed to show us the costco only member price and also forgot the $2500 toyota rebate on the car. Sadly a sales practice which makes me want to never visit them again

I brought my Scion iA in for repair because it was stalling. When I first arrived, nobody greeted me. I had to be in their face to even get someones attention. The car took 5 weeks to repair. During that time, I had to keep bugging the service advisor for a rental car. After 5 days, I finally got very vague instructions on how to get one. I had to pay out of my own pocket up front because the incompetent service advisor, Matthew Rost, did not fully explain how the payment will work. Only after the fix, he says Toyota only covers $35 each day and that Enterprise shouldve billed their dealer instead of me paying up front. And no, he will not contact you to provide updates about the car. He will not answer your phone calls. When I got my car back at the dealer, I noticed the engine was for sure not sounding normal. They told me to keep the car and drive it for a bit, knowing it was unsafe. A week after all of that, the engine light came back on again, so now the car is brought back to them again. This has to be the worst experience Ive ever had in a place of business.

I Bring my vehicle to the same dealership every 5000 miles since I purchased it. This time it took 4 phone calls to schedule the appointment. I left three messages which were not returned. I finally got through and was able to schedule my service appointment. Prior to coming I researched the approximate cost of my service on the Internet. My service advisor went over what would be done and the cost was twice as much as the Internet estimates. I was shocked.

Had appt @ 10am to fix side mirror, didnt get in until 11am. He later called to say theyll need to keep car overnight to fix recall part. When I came to get car next day MIRROR NOT FIXED!! But he didnt tell me no part until I came in to get car, thinking everything was fixed. Basically they kept my car (knowing that I needed it) for entire day for nothing. 1week later part still not in!! WORST PLACE EVER!! Takes too long to get you signed in, different depts never communicate with each other so you dont know that service hasnt been performed until you get there. 1 star given but actually this place deserves 0 or -5 stars

I made appointment for 40,000 miles service for 2012 Sienna @4:15 on 6/23/2017. I waited in my car for 30 minutes before anyone from service department talked to me. Why bother to make appointment when dealership couldnt handle the volume of works they promised the customer. I waited for my van to be serviced in the lounge for at least another hour, and came out & saw my van still parked at the same spot that I left. I sat on the steps waiting because it was unbearably warm inside. The service rep finally came out to drive the van away and returned less than 15 minutes later & apologized that no one available to do courtesy wash. I had no problem with a car wash as the van needed factory recommended service but then as I drove off I started having doubt if the dealership ever did oil change, rotate the tires & all the necessary services in less than 15 minutes. It was past 7pm & I was already late to pickup my daughter so I have to leave. I guess the counter was already close and the rep did not even have my paperwork to show whatever works performed on my van. I always had good experience at Melody Toyota but after the latest trip. I dont think I will go there ever again.

I recently gave my car for service and the experience was not good. I dropped the car by 8 AM. When I picked up by 6 PM, I expected the car to be vacuumed and tires dressed as usual. But it was not. We recommend that you take whatever price Melody offers you and go to another dealer. Use their price to negotiate. Its the only thing of value they have to offer. We purchased a 2017 Prius 4 from Melody in early May 2017. The sale price was fair from what we could find out on the web. Our salesman was Sam Abueshsheikh. We decided to buy it. First Sam presented us with a sales contractt that included extra warranty and paint protection although we had already told him we did not want either. We persuaded him to take it away and return with an agreement for the car at the agreed price. He complained that they were losing money. We noticed that there was no tonneau cover. Sam said it did not come with one, although the window sticker said it did. We asked for the second key and Sam said it had been mislaid. He said he would order one. We finally got the second key after a month that included multiple emails and calls. At home we confirmed that the tonneau cover WAS standard for the Prius 4 and emailed Sam asking him to get one. No response. We then emailed the general manager, A.K. Qadir. No response. We started calling the Toyota general Customer Service office in Plano, TX. After several calls from us to Plano and them to Melody, we finally got our cover on June 28

Toyota Melody takes good care of our Highlander. It just needs minor maintenance. The salesperson that took care of us the last time was Barry Johnson. He did a great job and well verse with the condition of the car. I came to service our car as it was nearing 100,000 miles & ask that my timing belt be replaced. I was happy & surprised by Barry, that our Highlander has a titanium timing belt & doesnt need a replacement ever. Great savings.

We bought a new Prius 2. The interior color was not in stock, but available from another dealer. We were told it would take 10 minutes to get the car. We were asked to sign a purchase commitment before the dealer got the car, which we did. The car didnt show up, even though we waited 45 minutes to be called to finish the contract. We finished the contract (about 20 minutes), still no car. We were told it would take 30 - 45 minutes to get (some unexplained trouble). We needed to leave, and were told to come back the following morning (open at 9). Went about 11:00. No car - apparently the car at the other dealer was damaged. They would look for another, and kindly provided a loaner car so I could go home. Got a call about 6 PM that the other car was available. Went to the dealer. Only one person was available to handle the paperwork, and other customers were ahead of us (even though we were trying to finish a transaction from the previous day). Went to dinner, came back, waited another 2 hours. It was about 10 PM when we finally left with the car. The car itself was fine, and the salesperson showed us how to synch the Bluetooth, which was nice. Price was good as well.

I was having my 08 Tacoma in for a 5k service . I had made an appointment but still had to wait 1/2 hour before I was processed. Barry Johnson the Service Manager was very apologetic and offered me a discount on the service for having to wait. I also had brought the truck back a week later to have a recall issue taken care of that Barry had brought to my attention and he had it ready for me on time as promised. Ill give him 5 stars.

Had rumbling issues with my passenger rear wheel area for the past couple of weeks, so having 2 auto mechanic brother-in-laws (not working for Toyota dealerships), I opted for the first one available to check it out for me. He said that I have a worn out strut that needs to be replaced. I asked him to take photos and he sent it to me for reference. He stated that the strut was an original OEM part. Out of convenience, took my barely 1-yr old Camry to One Toyota in Oakland since it was the closest dealership to my house. Knowing that my car problem was covered under the basic power train warranty, I decided to let them inspect the problem and the $156 inspection fee would be waived through Toyotas warranty. Half a day later, I got a call stating that my strut is NOT an OEM part and that it was "after market", and parts and labor would be roughly $900! I was upset! I knew that I had to get a second look by a different dealership - Melody Toyota, since I purchased my car from them. First round of inspection, was told that they couldnt inspect my car on a Saturday. I told them that I did not schedule an appt to not be seen, so they did a quick glance, but couldnt determine the exact issue. Why would they even schedule me to go there for it then? Getting more frustrated, I rescheduled for a few days later. Nonie, the Assistant Service Manager, was assigned to my car so my boyfriend and I told him the history of our run-around and he assured us that he will do his best to have the problem resolved. Low and behold, repair was classified as Warranty. Asked for the paperwork to obtain my refund from One Toyota. Eventually got my refund from the inspection and I am one happy camper!
