Customer service is the worst! The only good thing about this place is the price. Buyer beware. Its a used car lot. These vehicles vary in condition, and Herz fixes their own cars so the info is missing from car fax. It took me almost a month to have my car ready after I purchased it. Not to mention, after it was prepared, I found the air filter was not changed, and a cabin filter did not exist. Who knows if they ever changed the oil filter. Youre better off paying a little more from a reputable dealership. As soon as I can afford it, Im trading in my purchase for a vehicle without any issues.

"Not So Happy"

Hertz already made their money on the vehicles. They sell them cheap to move them. The service is poor, but friendly. The company that preps the cars in Johnston used old oil from oil changes on tires and the engine instead of armour all or a non-petrolium product. I am getting sling from deteriorating tires and oil all over the side of my vehicle, even a month later. I expect I should replace the tires soon. Repairs requested were done the cheapest way possible, with adhesive instead of replacing broken parts, which means theyre not completely secure, and I will be replacing them at my own expense. All this takes away any savings made on my purchase.

"Worth The Wait"

I dealt with Larry Shwartz. LIke many reviews I read, he takes a long time for registration and title and doesnt return calls or emails. They covered the penalty fees and gave me a rental car, but the experience was far from fun. Thankfully the price was very good. The price was good. My only suggestion is that you ask for Jim.

Hertz was a breath of fresh air. The prices are outstanding and the no-haggle policy takes all the drama and stress out of the process. There is absolutely no pressure here and Larry, as well as everyone else I met, were totally accommodating in my several visits. They will show you what you want to see, answer your questions, give you useful information,let you drive the cars and let the cars sell themselves. The deal here is that Hertz gets great deals with their fleet buying power and when they sell, they pass those saving on to you. The information you have access to at the local web site includes a vehicle history report and KBB value (which was legit, even on the low side). And then Hertz beats that price, by a lot. All the cars are Hertz Certified, which gives you a year on powertrain. Plus the car I bought has a year and a half, still, on the bumper to bumper and 3 1/2 years on the powertrain warranty from Ford. I highly recommend Hertz and will be back myself when the time comes.

Had been looking for used FX35 or FX37 for 6 weeks. Herb Chambers had a 2011 with almost 50K miles for the same price I bought the 2013 FX37 with less than 14K miles. Larry and John were great. Only caveat is since this is not purely a dealership getting the title for registration takes a little longer but worth the wait.
