"Misleading"

I had tire rotation and brakes done. Paper claims tires inflated to ford standard. Checked tire pressure and have a bunched of mismatched tire pressure. Is that the ford standard? And the reason I came was because I expected I had disappointed by another ford dealership

I drove up to Hembord Ford from San Diego. I was looking for an F-350 and Hemborg had a huge selection covering the entire gamut of options available. Most pick-ups on their lot had the 5th wheel prep installed, which is a must on big pick-ups. I purchased a great truck for a great price. I will definately be back for my next vehicle.

JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR "USED" AND IT CAME WITH THE 90 DAY -3000 MILE WARRANTY. THE VERY FIRST DAY WE GOT HOME WITH IT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND LEAKING ALL OVER OUR DRIVEWAY. WHEN WE CALLED THEM THEY WERE SAYING THAT WASNT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY. CAR HAS HAD MULTIPLE PROBLEMS OVER THE PAST 2 MONTHS. AND THEY ARE GIVING US THE HARDEST TIME AND SAYING WE HAVE TO PAY. HORRIBLE DEALER DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM... THE ACT NICE AND PUSH YOU TO BUY A CAR BUT THEN DONT CARE ONCE THEY GET THEIR MONEY. SUCH A HORRIBLE BUSINESS.

I was treated very well from everyone including the sales staff, service and finance department. I felt as though they listened to me and did everything in their power to find the best car for both my lifestyle and bank account. I was never pressured and the buying process was very smooth. I had sent an email for a 2009 Ford Mustang GT and they responded within 15 minutes. I had made an appointment to see the car and it was in good condition at a decent price. I had my own financing so it was a quick and easy process. there was a few minor things that needed to be fixed so they will be fixing them. I would definitely refer family and friends to Hemborg Ford.

"Worst Service Ever."

I recently purchased a used vehicle 2 months ago from this dealer. After 2 months and less than 2500 miles later, the truck breaks down. I am told it should be covered under the warranty and to have it towed to the dealership. After a 6 hour ordeal to get it towed in, I am told they cant give me a ride home, a loaner vehicle, and the rental agency they deal with is closed. Eventually they give me a ride to the airport to rent a car. The next day I am advised the repair will not be covered under the warranty and they wanted $1300 to fix it. I declined because I can afford it. Then they wanted $200 to let me have the truck towed out of there. I asked to speak with a manager and received the run-around for over 30 minutes. I never did get to speak with a manager, but they eventually gave me the vehicle back at no charge only after I started warning other customers about my experience. This was my 3rd purchase in 6 years, and I am also in the market for a 4th new vehicle(my 1st purchase was totaled in an accident a few days ago) and made that known the 1st day I was there. If this is how they treat repeat customers, I would stay away. They will bend over backwards to make the sale, but God help you if you need service after the sale.

"Never Will I Give Them Another Dime!! "

This place is a JOKE!!! I went to purchase a car that I found online at hemborg I get there and had a overall not bad experience in the purchase of the car. They try and gouge you a little but honestly what dealer doesnt... Anyway I had bought the truck and everything was a mess from then on I had a due bill from the dealer stating that there were things to b fixed on the car that we had discussed prior to the sale and it took them 3weeks to call me and set up and appt. then when I come down there they dont have the parts and sent me away that same day on my way home I noticed the transmission started shifting erratictly and hard and when I pull in my drive way and get out there is coolant leaking from the truck!! 2 days later I bring it into service and explain to them the problems I am having. At this point I had had the car for 3weeks and put only about 200 miles on it. The service guy calls me in the afternoon saying the transmission did not have the correct up to date flash put on the computer and they flashed it and the tech says it shifts fine. Also said they couldnt find the coolant leak.. So me being a tech I say no there is a leak and I will come show your tech where I get there the truck is in a stall and in 5 min I show the guy the leak and NOW he sees it!! ask if they did a pressure test he said "no". Any backyard mechanic knows that if you have a coolant leak u should pressure check the system before anything!! So after this they find the leak...I leave and they call me a few hours later saying that I am going to have to pay a deductible for replacing the part that was broken! This is where I flipped my lid! How can they possibly think that its ok to sell me a car (that was certified pre owned) hat breaks within a month and ask the customer to fork out another $100 for a deductible on the warranty on something that should have been fixed before the car was sold? If the inspections on the car to "certify" it were performed by technicians that actually know what they r doing this wouldnt have happened! I am still in the battle for the money and am Refusing to pay it! This place is horrid the co owner even got involved and seemed to not care at all about the fact that he has lost a futre customer and dissatisfied a current one!! The service dept is the worst in CA! I would just say stay away from hemborg and dont line there pockets with any more money!! Hope Tor (co owner) and Pat (service manager) see this and know who it is coming from and fix the problems with service techs having to b taught by customers on how to do there job! Unacceptable!!

"Hemborg Ford"

I found Hemborg Ford doing online research while shopping for a used car. I found a few cars I liked and emailed my interest. They responded quickly, but over nite, I was hit with a flu. Jamie and Gary kept in touch with me for two weeks straight until I was well enough to go shopping. Gary and Jamie had to convince me to make the 40-mile drive and promised they would make my efforts worth while! Gary greeted me and lead me straight to a car that far exceeded my expectations. His sales man Hugh, compared cars, we test drove, then I decided on the one everyone thought was best for me, then Gary found a way to make it mine! Great people and I am very happy with my little Ford Focus. It was not only what I wanted, but what I needed badly. Thank you all at Hemborg Ford! I expect when I need a check up or maintenance, theyre repair shop is just as great.
