"Easiest Used Car Purchase Ever!"

Our purchase was a straight walk-on. We drove down to CT from VT to look at a car at another lot. We were disappointed with what we saw, so we drove a little further until we came across the Shamrock Cars lot. The cars were all immaculate, all sporting easily read price, year and mileage stickers, on a clean and accessible lot. After wandering around a bit and looking at candidates in our price range, we went inside and were warmly greeted by the staff. Not to mention handing us two Shamrock Motors sweatshirts and two t-shirts just for coming in! We were handed the key and told to "bring it up front" if we wanted to test drive it. After a quick copy of our drivers licenses, we took it for a spin. We decided we wanted to try another vehicle, same process, painless and quick. Upon returning with the second car, we decided we wanted it. Due to some financial requirements on our part, we had to return a couple of days later to pick it up. A couple of emails back and forth finished up our transaction, and a couple of concerns we had with the vehicle were taken care of in a matter of hours. We drove back to pick up our SUV and seal the deal. I think we were there a total of a 1/2 hour finishing the paperwork. They even filled out a Vermont registration form for us! The vehicle was fully gassed up, detailed inside and out, and ready for us when we were done. Weve purchased several new and used cars over the years, and this was by FAR the most painless purchase either of us have ever experienced. Posters and stickers in the uncluttered and clean sales office notify prospective customers that with internet search engines and multiple dealers in the area, the prices shown are "what you see is what you pay", so theres no haggling and no hassle. The 90 mile drive was more than worth it, and weve already planned on going back next year to upgrade another of our vehicles.

Gave me a good trade in value for my old 2003 with 150,000 miles. Offered loan at much better interest rate than I was quoted from my bank. Purchased 48,000 mile 4 year extended warranty from them at very fair price and MUCH better price and terms than the Escalde I almost purchased. No pressure to buy, but very willing to work with me. Paperwork processed very quickly. Definitely a busy place as people were in and out of the showroom and the phones were ringing quite frequently. Seemed a little understaffed but still had an enjoyable experience.

I was involved in negotiations for essentially the same model at two different dealerships. The other dealership was calling me seemingly every 5 minutes, offering a slightly lower price each time he was haggling with me. On the flip-side, Charlie at Shamrock offered the the lowest no-haggle price and never applied any high pressure tactics whatsoever. This is how the consumer wants to be treated. He even replaced the front windshield in one day due to a small crack that I was concerned with. Charlie was a man of his word. We were in need of getting a new (used) car because our Expedition broke down for her last time, so it was definitely time for a new car. So my wife and I live close to this dealership in South Windsor and we would always drive by going home so we decided to head in and check out what they had to offer. Seemed like there were always people walking around the lot when I go by every night around 5:30. Right off the bat as soon as we walked in we were greeted with fantastic service and offered refreshments, so as we were sitting down at the desk they asked what we were looking into getting and my wife really wanted a large SUV and they had a really nice 2009 Expedition Eddie Bauer that had just come in but was still out back behind their building. It had not been serviced or cleaned yet so we went back the following evening to test drive and absolutely loved it. It had 77,000 miles on it and was incredibly clean. The brakes were replaced and they also did some other repairs which I was pleased to know so that it midst have to worry about them for quite some time. They even gave us $500 for a broken down 1997 Ford Expedition with 229,000 miles on it.

I purchased my Cadillac Escalade ESV last month at Shamrock Motors after checking out several other places. I am totally happy with the the transactions (got my financing up front with my credit union) - so I basically just had to deal with looking and test driving before doing the purchase. Al Gonci was fantastic. He clearly explained how the buying process works and was very patient in making sure we test drove the 3 different Escalades that were available on their lot. He made sure that anything that can be fixed in their shop are done before delivery. Even after buying the car and finding out that there were issues with the passengers seat belt, Al ordered a new retractor and they installed it while we waited. My family and I were totally impressed and happy that we purchased from them.

I just bought a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I love it. I recently had a 2003 Jeep Gran Cherokee and traded it in for the new body style. I am very happy with my decision. I have now purchased two vehicles from Charlie at Shamrock Motors. The first was a GMC Yukon and the second a Chevy Suburban. I believe it is pretty easy for a dealer to be nice to you when you are buying a car. What is more important is how the dealer treats you once you have purchased a care. In my case both of the vehicles that I purchased from Shamrock were older with high mileage but in great condition. However, old cars need repairs and in both instances Shamrock motors made sure that I was happy with the cars and made post purchase repairs free of charge quickly and without a hassle. I will buy another car from Shamrock. There was absolutely no pressure to buy, no need to haggle and I know from personal experience that they do their best to make sure that your "new" used car is trouble free.

Last week, my husband and I visited Shamrock Motors to look at a 2010 GMC Acadia. I live outside of Boston but drove almost two hours to go to Shamrock Motors just to purchase my 2006 BMW M3. This car has been my dream car and now I finally have it. I located the car on a 200 mile perimeter search online and went and looked at one in Schenectady NY but the car did not look as good as it did in the pictures. I was disappointed after driving all that way and then found the 06 at Shamrock. Called to verify they still had it and spoke to Charlie who said they car just came in a few days ago. Got there and the car was in excellent condition and drove very well. I had a BMW dealership in Harford called New County BMW inspect it and they recommended a new air and cabin filter as well as a new battery so the cranking amps were up to par. Charlie spoke to the owner who said nota problem they would take care of that. I arranged my own financing at my works credit union so I came back with a check the next day to pick up the car. I would like to thank Charlie for making the whole process stress free.

Went to check out a Suburban I saw and was being test driven by another couple when we got there. We waited about 20 minutes and looked like they were sitting with the salesman discussing the purchase so we test drove a 2009 Tahoe that they had just gotten in. It needed tires but the manager told us not to worry if we purchased they will be replaced before we pick it up. I knew they would be expensive as they are 20" tires so I didnt want to add that on top of my $24K purchase. We test drove and really liked the Tahoe even though we thought the extra cargo storage area was needed that the Suburban provided. When we got back a guy named Ryan came from the back offices and appraised our 03 Yukon that we planned to trade in. After about 10 minutes of checking it over and driving it down the road he offered $3800. I was really hoping to get 5000 as that is what I had it on craigslist for but he said that was a strong fair market value and I knew it needed a few repairs and didnt want to deal with it anymore I accepted. I did tell Ryan i wanted the custom molded floor mats for our new Tahoe and he said that would be no problem and he would order them. All in all we are very happy with the Tahoe and I would suggest checking out their cars as they had wide range of vehicles. There were a bunch of nice Audi convertibles on the lawn. Wife told me to quit dreaming. LOL

Found a Chevy Cruze online they had advertised. Called up and verified that they still had it in which they did. My brother went with me to look at it Wednesday evening and we test drove and applied for financing. Because it was 7pm at night they could not get an approval but they did call me at 9am on Thursday morning and gotten the approval from the bank. I had my insurance fax my ID card over and when I went back to sign paperwork the car was detailed again and the gas was full to my surprise and the overall buying experience was very pleasurable. I have already driven my car 400 miles and I love it.

1/10/14 We had a very positive experience and we got a good deal. They let us take the car to my mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection. Shamrock fixed all of the issues found by my mechanic the next day. We even got a 90 day warranty at no extra charge. I would buy from them again. I will update this review in 90 days if we run into any car issues. 1/14/14 update, My mechanic did a followup inspection today to see if all of the work was done correctly, he found one of the items was not done. Shamrock is now working on fixing the item they over looked from the first inspection report. I will update when I get the car back and re-inspected a 3rd time.
