The service department is rude and unhelpful. We came in recently with a check engine light on, and they tried to make us feel like it was our fault for unproper maintanence even though we showed them proof of last oil change and we are under on mileage. There was no iniative to help. We will not be returning.

"Lack Of Care And Quality"
In 2015 I leased a Cruze from Chevrolet of Smithtown. From the signing of the lease to the quality of care and service I would give the experience 5 stars. I recently took the Cruze in as the lease expired. I looked in their used vehicle lot and decided to purchase a 2013 BMW 528i. The quality of service was worth less then one star. While the price was fair and the salesman adequate, when I went to pick up the car it was a disaster. No attempt was made to preform a quality check. The detailing of the vehicle was abysmal. It was dirty inside and out with numerous scratches not buffed out. The interior areas such as the center console were stained and dirty. I was told to come back the next day to have the problems rectified. After I left the dealership that night I realized the car had less then a quarter of a tank of gas. I ended up filling it up and paying for it myself. I brought the car back the next day and the new detailing job was just as poor as the first. A total lack of pride and care. I ended up taking the car to Touch of Class car wash down the block, got "The Works" and now the car looks as it should have when it left the dealership. After the cleaning there is also a stain on the windshield we found that cannot be removed. So after I left the dealership I ended up paying out of pocket $32 in gas and $54 to have the car properly cleaned. I dont know what the stain will cost to remove. Im bring the car to BMW to make sure there were no other obvious issues that a quality check would have found. It was a bad experience. Especially bad for a loyal past customer. Id buy a Chevrolet again from the dealership in the future but never a used vehicle. The car was literally pushed out the door with zero care to detail.

Be careful .Make sure to read the sales contract before signing ,Be sure the finance amount is what you thought it would be .Ask and make sure the price they are selling it to you for before any rebates or incentives. Once you sign and you find an error they could care less .They are sneaky. In my case its my fault for trusting them.Dont trust them

This dealership is by far the best in customer support and patience. I had my brother call while I was at work to ask questions about a Chevrolet Tahoe. Oscar the sales manager gave the best advice and assistance there could have been in this situation. Rich the finance manager also gave great advice and was a straight shooter with my options and helping me save money. Sergio was the associate that helped me and showed me the vehicle and gave me all the stats on all my questions as well. Perfect Team at Chevrolet of Smithtown! Every dealer has cars but what made the difference with this place was the satisfaction that I got before and after the deal was done. They were very professional and courteous, I will be back for more. 5Stars! On everything.

Aside from there HORRIBLE customer service in sales and not just Frank and Eric but the 12 other people I had to deal with after calling for 2 weeks to get my deposit back on a truck I did not purchase. Run around after run around "the sales manager will call you shortly" or "give us your information and we will refund your deposit back to your account in 48 hours" .... Never got a call or my money.

After having driven Fords for over 20 years, James Lyons had bent over backwards to help us out. Within about an hour of being on the property, James came up with monthly numbers that we would have been foolish to refuse and we were signing paperwork to put us in a brand new Suburban, taking delivery only 2 days later. My only regret was not coming in sooner.

Great experience with the entire staff at Smithtown Chevrolet. Great deal on my new Malibu and the experience was a pleasure from beginning to end. James Lyons really knew the product and services well and the finance department (I think her name was Donna) made the transaction quick and easy. Overall the experience was fun and didnt feel like the typical hard sell you get at other places. Highly recommend.

Horrible.. Do not recommend to anyone. Bought a brand new car only to have problems and have this Chevy not be able to diagnose the problem and would not give me a courtesy car because they say they didnt have any "available". It takes them at least two hours to do an oil change.. What Im really trying to say is they have extremely poor customer service and their service department needs serious improvement. Save your time and go to a more professional dealership.

With 3 other dealers within 10 miles of my home, I would not hesitate to make the 45 mile trip again when purchasing my next vehicle. The sales side of Smithtown Chevy is a collection of awful people. From the finance rate to what the car is capable of / allowed to do. Brian / Joe assured us the car was qualified for the HOV lane and it’s not...... We contacted the regional manager, polite but not going to due anything. Most unprofessional company Ive ever met and now stuck with a car we don’t want.

i went to Chevrolet of smithtown when i arrived 3 employees were playing catch in the parking lot and completely disregarded me as a customer and ignored me. i approached 2 sales men and they still both blew me off and treated with without respect i walked away and the only response i got was from the salesmen asking me to come back after i was in my car driving off the lot. horrible service never going back.

By far the worst experience Ive ever had with any service center! My 2012 Malibu had a recall so I had to bring it to the dealer for service. I was told they open at 7:30 and although I booked the first appointment, I should get there at least half an hour to an hour before so I could "get on line", since people come early & line up to get in. When I got there at 6:55 there was already 1 car ahead of me, so when I saw someone walk by I asked him how this all worked, that I had an apt. but now this person was ahead of me. He said Id be taken care of & not to worry. When they opened the doors at 7:30 there was a woman service manager who checked me in who then told me that the mechanics dont actually start till 8:00! I expressed that I was not happy with the whole operation where I had to get there before 7:00 and wait around for an hour just to get my scheduled appointment. She very rudely told me "well you didnt have to come so early!" Well, I was told by the person on the phone that I did have to since people just show up! I also complained to her that both sets of remote entry keys I had were defective in that the lock button was broken on both sets - you could see where they had collapsed. She acknowledged that they were definitely broken. I told her I had purchased the top of the line bumper to bumper warranty with the car but they said electronic devices were not covered. I feel that isnt fair when I spent so much money on the warranty & within 3 years both devices broke! I really expected more from Chevy & GM. When 8:00 came, the mechanics were all still just standing around, talking & no one was actually working on any cars. Again, I expressed (to another gentleman waiting for his car) that this is why I normally use a private mechanic where I can leave my car when scheduled, he drives me back to work & brings me my car when its done, its just so much more convenient for me. They finally began to do the repair on my car when this woman service manager informed me that my inspection had just expired so I said to go ahead & do it. I asked how long it would take since I had already been there for 90 minutes and had to get to work. It was at this point that some other customer began screaming at me, saying I was just complaining since I got there & how much she loves this place! Ok for her, but I still needed to know what they planned on doing with my car and I am entitled to complain about a problem Im having to the service people... isnt that what theyre there for? I am also entitled to express my opinion about their procedures! The (woman) manager came over & started yelling at me in front of all the waiting customers, saying that all I did was complain since I got there and that they didnt want my business, that I could go get my inspection done at my own garage because they refuse to do it! Since when is it not ok to ask about the service or express dissatisfaction with a procedure or service that you get! Im sorry, but for both of my remote entry keys to break within a 3 year period is upsetting and inconvenient. Not only can I not lock the door remotely but I can no longer use my remote start feature since you have to hit the lock button before you press the remote start button. I dont have the opportunity to take a day off of work to have my car serviced every time it needs an oil change, which is what this other screaming woman was telling me I should do! When I first made that apt they asked why I didnt do all my oil changes & servicing there. This is why! I cant see sitting for 2 hours just to wait to get a simple service done when I can have it done quickly & efficiently at a reputable service center around the corner from my office! They took offense to that and literally threw me out of their garage & told me to never come back, that they didnt want or need my business! I was so appalled at the way I was disrespected I may sell my Malibu just to get away from Chevy altogether!

My salesman Sean Murphy was very informative, pleasant and even though your dealership didnt have what I wanted in stock he found it for me at another dealership. He called me to keep me informed when it would be delivered and he worked around my schedule as to when I was able to pick it up. When I picked the car up he was off that day but had another co-worker show me everything about the car. Sorry I dont remember her name but she was very nice too. And the finance manager was very efficient and fun to talk to, we had some laughs. I was very satisfied and happy about how quickly and smoothly everything went from the time of my first visit to the end of purchasing the car. And I love my Camaro !! Thank you very much !! Our new vehicle nicely prepared and ready on time. If the Volt lives up to our expectations we would consider another Chevrolet for our next vehicle purchase.

"Dishonest Service"
I had dropped my vehicle off for service on October 1st. There was an obvious water leak above the fuse box beneath the glove compartment. The car did not start, the rear wiper blade did not work and there were two safety recalls on the vehicle. After 10 days in the service department, only a new battery was installed and I was told by Luann that my bill was over $900 (she stated none of labor for the warranty work was covered). I picked my car up on October 15th; Luann had informed me I would need to return the vehicle for additional service they could not get to in the previous two weeks, but the water leak was fixed. Meanwhile the water leak was clearly not fixed as water was pouring in only a day later, and the wiper still did not work. The warranty company then confirmed that all parts and labor would be covered. My frustration with the lies and deceit from Luann has reached a tipping point. The car has been with a reputable service station for the past 12 days. They have had the windshield replaced and the water leak fixed. The fuse box that was soaked with water has also been replaced (and proven to be the cause of the electrical issues). These issues could have easily been resolved in the two weeks your service department had the vehicle; however Luann seemed more concerned with dishonorable service tactics. Regrettably, the lack of actual service that had been done and the problematic attitude from Luann along with her deceitfulness has led my family & friends to distrust the Smithtown Chevy dealership completely.

Monica Miller and her team were absolutely the nicest and most helpful sales people we dealt with when looking for our lease. Monica was very pleasant and nice to talk to. She was very helpful in describing all the amenities and little buttons in our Equinox lease. I would without a doubt recommend her and am putting up her cards on our billboards here at work. Our credit wasnt the best but when nobody else would help us Chevrolet of Smithtown pulled out all the stops and got us a great lease. Thank you all.

Angela was able to locate me a dealer rental car for me for the duration of my repair so I wouldnt have to worry about getting back and forth to work or how long the repair would take. It made me feel so much better about being without my car.

The service rep I have had for the past few years knows her job and Im very pleased in dealing with her. All the work recommended by her has been done with no problem. A recent job of repairing and replacing my outside rearview mirrors was done with very little wait time. The prices may be a little high in some cases but the quality of the work performed is well worth it.
