"Nightmare Experience"
On October 26th, I purchased my vehicle (lease buy out) at Jersey City Ford. I chose to finance the buy out through another lender because at the time I went to the dealership to discuss (10/7) buying out the finance rep refused to make me an offer. At the time I signed, the dealer had the check from my financing company and had stated they ordered a payoff statement from Ford Credit who was the current lien holder. I left the dealership with temporary plates that were valid through 11/26/2015. For the past few days I have been calling the dealership to inquire as to the status of my plates. Each time I was told the plates werent ready yet because they had not received the title from Ford Credit. So today I called Ford Credit, only to find out that they had not been paid off. I was now also delinquent on my monthly payment to them. I am a Branch Manager of a Mortgage Lender. I have made repeated requests to speak to managers, and never get calls. I am usually told to call back and ask. I leave messages, no one returns calls. My next issue is the temporary plate expires on 11/26 which is thanksgiving. I will be unable to drive my car too or from work. I cant use my wifes car, as she we have 2 young children who need to get to school and a 75 year old mother-in-law that is in ailing health and has doctor appointments.
"Surprising Experience"
Where do I begin? I was bored one day last week and was browsing through the internet building new model cars and looking at the different prices, little did I know that once I typed in my zip code, I would immediately get a phone call from Jersey City Ford regarding my interest on the vehicle I had just built 15 minutes earlier. I answered the phone with no intent of even making an appointment to meet with anyone, but Anthony (their internet specialist) was so lovely, there was no way I would be able to pass an opportunity to speak with him in person. I made an appointment Saturday (September 12, 2015) and again, with no intent of even purchasing anything. I was late for the 9:00am, made it there by 10. I walked in and was immediately acquainted with Elias Statham. From the first moment we spoke, I was intrigued with all he knew about the vehicle I wanted to purchase. He was so funny, attentive, kind and soft spoken. But before we even began to speak about the car, I had told him about my past experience with dealerships in that area, and he assured me that I would have a wonderful experience and walk out of there with a car. I thought he was out of his mind. We even joked that he would have to REALLY impress me. I was there for about 3 hours, test driving the car, talking about aspects of the car, numbers and what I really wanted. Mind you, I was always first in every conversation. Elias then introduced me to the Sales Manager, Jorge Narvaez. We talked numbers for a bit and for once, I truly felt I was being HEARD. After leaving for lunch and having time to think, with no pressure into buying the vehicle, I came back determined to not take the car. I felt that I still didnt have what I wanted. But after working out the numbers again and figuring out the best for both parties, I came to the decision to close the deal. I felt relieved and happy to have been given a chance to speak, to hear what they had to say and to leave the dealership with a peace of mind I did not have with my purchase at Kia in 2014. I know I was given an amazing deal. Signing the papers with Reginald Haynie was a trip! He had me in and out in under 20 minutes. Before I knew it, Elias was in the car with me making sure I knew every aspect of my new 2016 FORD EXPLORER SPORT! AHHH! I cant even believe it! From the bottom of my heart, Id like to thank all at Jersey City Ford especially the four men I mentioned in my review for a surprising, yet wonderful car buying experience! I drove out the lot with a brand new car, money in my pocket and new friends that I know will always want my experience at Ford to be a good one and safe with my vehicle! Thank you for caring!

In my process of deciding about a car I had considered those advertized companies offering all sorts of deals, then I came to realization of dealing with a proven dealership, that I dealt with since the 90s. Finding a familiar face (Rocco) in the service dept he connected me with Ken who started the process, and with Luis gave me a great deal from trade in to lease. The process moved along with minimal amount of time and the degree of professionalism was above reproach. The faces may have changed but the principle of good business and good deals has carried through, and Im glad I came back.

This is the worst dealership. I turned in my car and leased another. It was my first time there. The salesman left me sitting for 1.5 hours to go into Finance to sign. When I finally had enough and got up to leave, he and another salesman got loud saying I wasnt waiting that long. I was walking out and of course they took me straight into finance. The car has had problems since I bought it home. I have called the salesman 5 times. He didnt call back. I finally called the service department and was told by some rude girl with a thick thick accent that she needed the vin number before I could speak to anyone. I told her I was on the highway and needed to speak to someone. She hung up on me. I wrote to Ford and still have not heard anything back. Go anywhere but to this dealership. They are the worst.
"Terrible, Incompetent Service"

This is an absolutely terrible dealership. I leased a car from them in 2013. The process took 6 hours! The sales representative and the GM of the dealership that sold me the car have both been subsequently fired. My lease expires shortly and I asked them to send me a copy of my lease. I was talking to Christina. She explained that according to internal policies, she could not do that, but if I came to the office, she would be able to give me a physical copy. We agreed on a day and a time, I drove out of my way to the dealership. Christina was not there and no one there had ANY idea about my request. The GM was looking at his phone and seemed completely unimpressed by the fact that Christina just wasted 2 hours of my time. I would never recommend this dealership to a friend -- terrible customer service.
"Great Service; Clean Facilities..."
I received excellent service when I went to redeem a coupon last year so I decided that this would be the best dealer to do business on a continual basis. While having my car looked at in the service department I went to see what was on the showroom floor. I saw a Ford Fusion that caught my eye. The salesman, Jean Carlos Brea, came over and said he could get me into that car. The manager came over and said that they would work up a deal if I would agree to buy the car. I didnt think it would happen so I agreed. They did it and now Im driving a fully loaded Ford Fusion. Thanks Jersey City Ford and Jean Carlos Brea.

I bought my 1st car at Jersey City Ford and I have to say the experience and service was excellent. I was recommend to see Steven Cruz. I spoke to Steven on the phone a couple of days before I went in I was a bit optimistic because of my credit and didn’t want to be embarrass Steven assure me that “He will make it happen†so I made the appt as soon as I got there Steven was ready for me, I saw the car I wanted, we went for a test drive Steven didn’t rush me back told me everything about the car and all its features so we when got back we went to do business. HE REALLY DID MAKE IT HAPPEN !!! I love my Ford Fiesta Hatchback. OH and I got a little more than expected for my old car which shock me, lol. I really appreciate Steven for helping me during the process of buying my fabulous car. A special thanks to Leo the best finance person ever. He helped work out numbers to make everything affordable. Luis Cheekie Taverez the funny, happy general manager there came and thank me for purchasing a car and gave me a full tank plus a free oil change. Everyone at Jersey City Ford are excellent people to deal with. Highly, most defiantly will recommend my peeps to go there. THEY REALLY MAKE IT HAPPEN !!
"Very Bad Service"
In less than 1 yr I took my car for service 2 times and it took them almost 2 weeks to to get the truck fixed. Never got a car from anyone and had to keep calling to see whats going on with my car. They did not even have a loaner so I had to go out and rent a car on my own. When they called me to pick up the car nothing was done on the vehicle it took them 12 days to diagnose the vehicle
"Awesome Experience"
I was in the market looking to lease a Ford Fushion, after my salesperson Luis let me test drive it, I wanted to get down to business with the numbers. There, the GM Jay came out and I found him to be courteous and extremely helpful in asking me what type of car I want. When he found the car I was looking for, it was time to go over the pricing which again Jay provided exceptional service in making sure I stay in budget. My family and I have purchased/leased many cars and we never met a GM as dedicated as a Jay in making us feel comfortable in purchasing the car I want for the price I want. I would recommend both Luis and Jay highly if you are in the market for a new Ford.

"Female Service Writer Very Disrespectful"
was in for maintainence 4/1/14 and 4/2/14 your service writer (female Hispanic decent) was very disrespectful especially to my Military I.D. she could not wait for me to leave. I was there 4 hours Monday and another 2 hrs Tuesday. horrible. she refused to even look at my I.D. or give me my discount she told me to see carlos the next day. she tried to charge me for wheel alignment on Monday when my tires were put back on the same way I went it with. she made a mistake of telling me my tires that I wanted were in stock and after 2 1/2 hrs I approached her and she told me oh they are not in stock. had to go back the next day but she wanted me to pay for everything right there, wheel alignment and tires I did not get.
"Expired Registration"
I leased a vehicle back in 2013. After signing all paperworks, i get temp plates on my vehicle which is normal procedure. After 20-30 days i get my plates and registration to later(5-6months later) find out that in january 2014 my registration was expired after getting pulled over by RAHWAY, NJ POLICE. I got off with a warning and decided to review the lease i have signed for. It appears that my lease indicates that $365 was added to the lease to cover for the MVC title/registration for "FULL TERM OF LEASE". i called Jersey City Ford spoke to front desk Angela who is a complete novice to her job description and requested to speak to my finance manager "Nelson" but unfortunately i was told that he was FIRED. I then requested to speak to another manager. I was transfered to mailboxes after mailboxes until having the chance of speaking to "BILL Weisman". i explained to Bill my situation on 02/22/2014 and he stated that he check the situation and then call me back as MVC does not work on weekends. Unfortunately, he didnt, i called on monday and explains that his computer database indicates the MVC Title/registration was a "transfer" which is not indicated on the lease i signed for. i vented out to Bill that i needed my registration renewed for the full term as indicated on lease. Unfortunately, Bill refused and gave me the "Princess Attitude" which had my blood boiling because he believed the info on computer was accurate. We stopped the conversation after that because he was not help. I then decided to call back and spoke to someone by the name of "Erma Tavares". I explained the WHOLE situation again and she transfered me to front desk where once again Angela transfers me to mailboxes. i call back i speak to Erma Tavares once again and demanded that for someone to get off of their a** and find a manager that can resolve the issue, immediately. Note: almost all dealerships are partnered with MVC in order to print out a registrations, renew and etc. Furthermore, Erma gathered all the info i explained, she personally reached out to "Bill" and im guessing co-worker to co-worker communication she wanted "Bill" to handle it. I told "bill that your system is wrong and i a copy of the lease which sure enough he requested me to fax it to him, so i did. After forwarding the copy of the lease, i called "Bill" i get a different tone of voice, like if i was right or something, oh thats right I AM!!!. Bill askes me for my email and then forwards me a picture of what the system indicate (transfer). So obviously the copy of my lease does not match Fords database. BINGO!! After, i thought "Bill was going to apologize for the inconvenience and fix the issue right away he then tells me that he has to match my lease with theirs and gave me a lame excuse that its in storage and they are "trying" to find it. I called today 02/26/2014, i get Bills voice mail and just so everyone knows i am still waiting. i cant use my car until then which i will most likely contact an attorney general, Better Business Bureau, Corporate Attorney and the IRS since their book keeping is not correct. Just playing fair. Fortunately, i review everything i sign for.

I leased a car on Jan 1st and it is Jan 23rd, I am still waiting on plates for my car I called to speak to a manager and was told they will return my call, I am still waiting. I give this dealership an "F". My temp. plates expired on the 20th and was told they dont know what the problem is. I contacted DMV, with an answer of "we dont have any paper work for the VIN# provided"....
"First Time Buyer"
This is the first time dealing with Jersey City Ford.. It was well worth the ride sales staff is excellent and the service department is No 1 , I purchased a used Edge the sales man was easy to deal with and helped in every step of the process. After driving home I noticed the back tire had excess wear on them and I had an issue with the door locks . Called service made an appointment and they took care of everything and replaced the tires and no cost to me and the used car rep. appoligized that the car was sold with bad tires.

Nick was my sales consultant. The deal on my trade in and the price for the used car I bought were very close to those quoted in Consumer Reports. I found the car I wanted on the dealers website and visited them the next day to put a down payment and hold the car. the buying process was very efficient. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good deal on a car.

"Horrible Service"
I took in my vehicle for service and it took them over 3 weeks to try resolve my issue. I left numberous message for Carlos Rodriguez in the service department asking question as to how long it would take to fix my vehicle and he would never respond back. One day had to call ever 5 minuntes until he got tired of hearing him get page so he can pick up my phone call. I even left message with his supervisor Vinny which til this day has not called me back as well. I would not recommend this place they are a RIPE OFF and sad to say my vehicle still is not working the write way. I called him back to fix my problem and they still have not returned my phone call. THIS DEALEAR IS HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED
"Buyer Beware"
This is the worst dealership I have ever had the misfortune of trying to doing business with. After over 4 hours of trying to work a deal they told me if I came up with $3000 down I could take the vehicle, I came back with the cash and was then told I needed another $3000. I was trading in my 2010 370Z for a used Hummer that is still sitting on their lot 2 months later. They will not budge on any prices. They promise the world and they do not deliver.

They offered a 2012 SEL for $23,000. After I test drove and was ready to purchase, the Sales Manager suddenly said he paid $27 plus spent $895 to prep the car so he couldnt sell for that price but instead wanted $28K. The car was full of dog hair and the brakes needed to be fixed. So much for the Certified car they first offered. A big waste of my 2 hours.. They lied and gave me one price and then changed the price when I was excited about buying it. Dont waste your time going there.

I have been going to this dealer for a while just out of habit. I never felt comfortable wiith the service, I always felt it was about getting as much money out of me as possible and not really much concern about me as a customer. I kept going due to one technician. Today he was not there and I had my car serviced anyway. Afterward I found out some of the work I paid for had not been done. While I was there I also found them recommending service that did not apply to my car, giving me advice from the wrong service sheet, promising a technician who did not end up working on the car as promised. It was the realization of all the concerns I had about coming there and I wonT BE BACK.

Emailed them about a car I was seriously looking into. The car had low mileage and was very low priced. I wanted to make sure nothing was wrong with the car so I could buy it. The staff told me they would Email back about the cars condition later that day. Instead, they raise the price of the car and do not Email me back AT ALL. It is 3 weeks later and Im yet to hear a reply about the car.

This are the worst awful service no good just a preown vehicle there and sold it to me with a lots of damages and they charge me like $800 dollars for the certification and told to inspect the vehicle on my own and i told the sales person i am not a mechanic and i find like five damages on the vehicle and they told me to take the vehicle like that and bring it back during the week for repair i took the vehicle back there they took over a week and when i went to pick it up the sales person told me that everything was fixed we went to get the vehicle at the shop and when i verify nothing was fix on the vehicle this is the worst service ever bad people just want to rip people off !!

We traveled from staten island and couldnt have been happier. We decided to go to Jersey city Ford thanks to Pat, who was the most friendly, knowledgable person we have ever spoken to at a car dealership. Walid was the best sales person. No pressure, showed us everything we wanted to see, and took us on the longest test drive weve ever been on, which was good cause it helped us make our decision. We spent a bit of time there, 6hours, but it was worth it . Walid worked till he got us the car we wanted, then after all was done sat in the car to help us with our phone and sync. Nelson was the best finance person we have ever dealt with. He helped work out our numbers to make everything affordable . The entire staff was knowledgable and courteous. I was a bit skeptical walking into this place since Ive worked at Metro Honda and Hudson Toyota before (I be knowing the sales tactics) but to my pleasant surprise this place is actually different. They really, really work with you to help you get the car you need, not want. My 2002 Benz with 120k miles was just not cutting it anymore. It was a pain and extremely costly to maintain so I tried my luck and Im glad I did. Even though I have really bad credit, somehow I managed to walk away with a beautiful 2013 Ford Escape. I honestly was trying for the 2013 Ford Edge, which I could have gotten away with but Marvin, Victor, Rudy, and Steve all coaxed me into realizing that I would be living above my means and I didnt need such a huge car payment or a big car, which is rare! i recently bought a ford fiesta 2013, it was in unbelievable condition and it was at an excellent price (very economic). Futhermore, the staff was amazing, and they were so patient when i was looking for the right car because as a mother of two, it isnt very easy to pick one out. I needed to check if it was safe enough for my children. In addtion, the sales person Marvin was very helpful along with the manager, Steven who even offered lunch while i waited for the car to be ready, etc. The service was as quick as possible. I just bought my 2011 ford explorer this week and had such a great experience! Our Salesman Freddie was really very nice and helpful. He took the time to look for the car that we want. The finance manger Nelson was really nice! he really took the time to get me and my husband aproved! Our monthly payments was even less than we expected! All of the staff were very friendly too. When i got home there was a small dent on my car(which was my faul for not noticing it when i was the dealership) and the previous owner did not leave the door code so i took it back to the dealership. They did not hesitate to offer to fix it and reset the door code for free!!! I would highly recomend this dealership!!
