"Great Experience!"
I had a great experience buying a pre-owned car. The salesman was pleasant and not"pushy". He was very professional and worked with us on the price. I left confident that I was given a fair deal.
"Not The Place To Buy A Pre-owned Car!!"
The Sales Guy Angelo was really nice and accommodating we were really psyched. Unfortunately, when we went to purchase the car they wanted to add on 1,000 worth of extra charges!! 100 dollars to CLEAN THE CAR (when you buy a car shouldnt the car be clean?) 200 for etching (the car was already etched)! and 750 dollars for them to inspect the car for any issues! When we declined they would not negotiate. We purchased a better car with less mileage elsewhere. The car was detailed, no etching and the inspection was done free of charge! That is the way to do business no hidden charges...not the way they handled it at Open Road.
"Dont Need Bussinsss"
I went here on Saturday (July 15th) to look at a preowned certified Mazda 3, I got paired with Marty. Who seemed more interested in drinking his iced coffee than making a sale. I looked at the car and noticed that there was some scratches on the front and back bumper, I asked if it was used as a rental car he replied that it was a lease trade in. CARFAX report confirmed that I was indeed correct it was a rental car bought at auction. During the test drive I was asking about the warranty and he didnt know if the car was certified or not he also didnt give me a lot of information about the car. When I asked him how long hes worked for Mazda he told me 5 years. I would have hoped that Marty would have taken the time to print out the specs about the car so when asked questions he could give me an answer instead of I dont know. When it came down to how much the car would cost he didnt negotiate a deal except for knocking off $250 from the price. When I asked for a breakdown of the costs he told me that it would cost $995 for a pre delivery inspection which is a fluff considering that the car being Mazda certified is that it has to go through an 160 point check and any parts below 50% wear and tear needs to be replaced. When I mentioned this to Marty he just gave me a blank look. I was willing to make a deal today (Monday) in cash if the price was right. I politely left but I called June the woman who directed me to Marty to voice my concerns. I left a voicemail Saturday at 5 giving the date and time of my call and didnt get a response till 3 on Monday (granted I know theyre closed on Sunday) when I voiced my concerns she said she wasnt going to make excuses for Martys behavior, but between his behavior and not getting a reasonable prompt response when I left a voicemail it was apparent that they dont need my business.
"The Best Car Dealership Experience!"
We just picked up a brand new CX-3 Touring from Open Road Mazda in Morristown, NJ. Throughout the process I received the complete information about the model and choices. Nobody tried to rush me or convince me on something that I dont need. This is a small showroom where they spend the time with you in a relaxed atmosphere. In a couple of hours we drove home with our new red beauty and again I spent my money with pleasure. Great management - Justin and superior sales people - Michael!
"Great Service"
Excellent service from Amr Elsayed and the team at open world Mazda. Made buying my first car easy and hassle free. They were able to work with me and my budget to make sure i had affordable payments. Definitely recommend going there if you are looking for great service and quality cars.
"Great Deal And Courteous Service"
After going to another dealer in our area ,we were pleasantly surprised at the fairness and honesty of this dealership. They respected our knowledge of the leasing process and did not try to tamper with the numbers. Thank you
"Professional Dealership And Good Experience"
I had been doing extensive research and shopping for my new vehicle. I am not an easy shopper. I am polite, but I have high expectations and I go in the office well informed. I was greeted by the Internet manager when entering the dealership. She was kind, and told me that should would have Carlos, sales representative, work with me. I was offered water/coffee prior to Carlos coming out, and I did accept a courtesy water. Carlos was interested in getting me to a test drive as soon as he could. Carlos listened to my needs, and even made some suggestions as to what he would recommend without being too pushy. Ultimately, I was between CX-3 and CX-5. I felt the CX-3 was an excellent vehicle, but given my needs and my frame (Im 62"), I felt the CX-5 better suited my tastes. Carlos was willing to talk numbers without running finance, though he reminded me that the finance process could potentially change a number based on some factors (fair enough). We talked a bit, and while Carlos did try to stick to a number that was probably better for the dealership, he did negotiate to a fair number without any trouble. Lets face it, some reps and dealerships make it feel like war, this felt like business. Carlos was very down to Earth and pleasant throughout the experience. I never felt pressured, and I never felt like I was a mark. The sales manager, Mike, ultimately helped with the paperwork. Mike was friendly and easy going, like Carlos. Doing the finances didnt feel like being in the "box". I also spoke with the GM of the dealership, and he was exceptionally pleasant and took an interest in what I do for a living (and going into that conversation is like opening Pandoras box). I got the car that I wanted for a price in my range. The dealership is fairly well stocked, I feel it was easy to find, and the showroom has a very open and airy feeling. Overall it was clean and modern, not crowded. It also wasnt overloaded with too much sales material. It appeared that the parts office was also part of the showroom, which gave the dealership a good feeling of united.
"Best Experience Ever"
I just recently traded in my CX9 for a new CX5 and what a great experience it was! I set the appointment with June Vergel, the BDC Coordinator who warmly greeted me when I arrived. Jonathan Arrante and the sales manager, Mike Mago were terrific. They were were patient with me and went over everything in detail. I never felt pressured at all. I got a great deal and couldnt be happier. It was a completely painless process. They treat you like royalty when youre there, and you dont have to deal with all the gimmicks and games the typical highway dealerships try to pull. Trust me, if you are in the market for a car, this is the place to go!
"Service"
I have always had a very satisfying customer experience at Open Road Mazda in Morristown. The sales and service personnel are always courteous, they always warmly greet you to the showroom. They are very conversant and knowledgeable about the Mazda products and service details. There has never been any over bearing sales pressure from the sales and service staff. If you are looking for friends to have a casual conversation about cars, or just want to say hello, Open Road Mazda is the dealership for you. I always feel valued as customer and friend at this dealership. I have been very satisfied with my two Mazda purchases and look forward a long term relationship with this dealership. I would like to point out that Mike and all the other associates at Open Road Mazda in Morristown are an asset to the business and should be recognized for the attention they provide to customer service.
"Excellent Customer Service"
I live in Metarie LA my experience at this dealership was best I ever had in my entire life Marty and Mike made sure I get what I want, treated me very nicely, and this is my first new car so the experience felt like I m very special. This dealership is worth every penny. I live across the country but, I did not have anything to work about including the delivery of the car. So experience I got from Marty and Mark was way beyond what I expected and I want everyone to go to this dealership and buy car I m sure no one will be disappointed. I definitely love this dealership!!!!
"Absolutely The Worst Experience I Have Ever Had!"
Going to buy a Jeep, or really any vehicle should be an experience that leaves you feeling better than before you experienced it. These guys, the Sales Manager Omar included not only were hostile but quite obnoxiously yelled at me when I just asked about the Accident on the Car fax that they did not disclose till I arrived. Worse still was his telling my friend who joined me to look at cars that he was not the buyer and that he could leave the facility. Thank GOD there are so many dealerships grouped around these guys because I took my money and bought from one up the street. DO NOT buy from them, there are so many placed to purchase a vehicle that you really dont want to tie yourself these angry charlatans.
"Online Car Purchase"
I purchased a 2014 mazda sight unseen via the internet. This can be difficult with a used car - but Chris Delsordi with Open Road Morristown has it dialed in. He was excellent - ran an honest, transparent and efficient process. Very happy with the car - its exactly as Chris represented it. Exactly.
"Went In For One Car And I Left With Two!!"
I went in for one car and left with two, THAT is how good Open Road Mazda of Morristown is. I LOVE my new car and the experience that came with it, all thanks to Mahek and Justin! From the first handshake to the last hug, Mahek and Justin were absolute pleasures to work with. I was looking to do a trade in, and after a horrible experience at the Flemington Mazda, I had little to no faith for Mazda. I am blessed to have walked into that dealership and had the opportunity to work with Mahek; his knowledge of cars and persona made the first portion of the process a pleasure. When it came time to talk numbers, Justin went above and beyond to get us to our price range. The time I spent in Open Road felt more like I was at a friends home and not at a dealership. While everyone at the dealership is professional, the overall tone was welcoming and laid back. I am actually looking forward to getting my car serviced to see everyone again and did I mention that I absolutely LOVE my car and the 40 miles to the gallon gas situation?! THANK YOU MAHEK AND JUSTIN!!! :-)
"The Premier Mazda Dealership In Nj"
05-13-2015
Words can not begin to describe the amazing experience I had on 5/9/15. I had the pleasure of working with Mahek who carried himself with the utmost respect and professionalism and is one of the sole reasons that I am sitting in a brand new 2016 CX5. His friendly demeanor really helped keep my at ease, and not once, did I feel at all nervous. His knowledge on all of the cars was unparalleled. He also wanted to know my story, more about myself, which was very important to me. I was not just a number in his eyes, I was a friend. When it came time to purchase, Justine stepped into the picture as well as Michael, and I now know why the entire open road mazda of morristown takes it to the next level vs all of the other dealerships I have visited, namely Nyack and Flemington. Management is top notch and their sole objective was to make sure I was happy, that I had no questions left unanswered, and if there was anything I needed, they made sure to make it happen. Between Mahek, Justine, and Michael...I was smiling throughout the entire process, felt relaxed, and practically forgot that I was sitting inside a dealership. It felt like a home. If there was one thing that I was disappointed in.......was that I did not visit open road mazda in morristown first!!! For any of you interested in a Mazda, please visit this dealership. I can assure you that Mahek, Justine, and Michael will treat you like royalty.
"Buyer Beware"
05-13-2015
I purchased a used 2012 dodge challenger in April I live in new York so I received a temporary plate with a expiration date of May 6th I called on may 4 to find my status of the plates and the first question I was asked was is the car your everyday driver like if it wasnt dont worry about it then I get a phone call that the plates are on the way ups well when I got the package no plates just a bill for 60 dollars with a message that I was not charged enough for the car. The things you have to watch for are the best price is not available if you want to pay cash or finance from someplace other than them. I ordered a build sheet from dodge and it has the stock sound system when the car listed premium sound it doesnt GO SOMEPLACE ELSE OR MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK
"Best Dealership In Nj"
05-13-2015
Best dealership in nj. Nicole my sales rep and GM Justin Patel were amazing. I had the best car buying experience with them. WIll never buy another car from anyone but open road mazda in morristown nj!!!!
"Great Service!"
05-13-2015
Best dealership hands down in North jersey is open road mazda in morristown, nj on ridgedale ave. Nicole the sales rep and the GM Justin Patel took the best care of me. I always dreaded going to dealerships but after my amazing experience with them, I will never buy another car from anyone but them. I highly recommend them because of their excellent customer service, extremely friendly staff and a ton of car options. They made the whole process super easy and even hand delivered the car to my house. Very happy overall!
"Open Road Mazda Does Not Listen To Its Customers"

Went in there for an oil change and tire rotation, specifically asked for both. Only got an oil change after 1 hour 30 minutes of waiting for it.More
"I Would By A Car From This Dealer"
I went there to see the car, very nice dealership, excellent customer service, no pressure, no tricks, very polite people. My car had a air leak in one of the tires, they fixed it for my while I was test driving their car. Eventually I did not buy a car from them, but I would strongly recommend this place.
"Excellent Buying Experience"
I havent purchased a new vehicle in years. I want to assure you that this was the best purchasing experience that Ive ever had regarding a new car. From the browsing process thru the sale, financing and delivery it was extremely easy. There was complete transparency and no tactics changed. It was as if I was purchasing this Mazda 6 from family. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone and I will be in for service at the Morristown location when the need arises. This vehicle is everything I thought and was promised to me. Thank you all, Mark Shannon
"New Car Purchase"
11/6/14 Just to let you know - I was looking for an SUV for the family, I just happen to see the advertisement for a particular CX-9. I was greeted by a sales associate by the name of Marty. He was calm, cool and collected, but most important - I liked him. He was patient with all my ridiculous questions and was knowledgeable about the car he was selling. I was most satisfied after test driving the car. Marty made the transaction smooth; no sneaky sale tactics, and I was off with my new car. Everyone was courteous and professional. I would recommend visiting this dealer - ZOOM ZOOM!
"Superfast & Funny"
Just wanted to mention something quickly. My husband recently wanted me to do his "dirty" work by test driving a 2015 Mazda CX-5. I made the mistake of stopping in 2 highway stores beforehand, and it was the usual "meat market" process. Pressure and rude sales people. Buy now or else!!! I stopped by Open Road Mazda In Morristown also. (I was tired of getting beat up already, but my husband insisted I get pricing.) It was on a Saturday and this place was very busy. I was greeted by the Internet Manager, Phil Diamond, who apologized for the wait. He was jumping back and forth from customer to customer, answering the phones, and putting on license plates. Anyway, he asked me if I could answer any questions before he had to do something else. Although he was very busy, he ran off some pricing over a cup of coffee, and calmed me down from my frustration with his sense of humor. Funny guy. Helpful also! I came back later during the week as he suggested, and was helped out by Phil and a salesperson named Marty. No "meat market" procedures here. Bought a CX-5 Grand Touring and love it! Im glad I stopped in!
"Impressed I Guess"
I just wanted to say I went there on a Saturday doing research on the new Mazda 6 my husband wants me to get. It was a zoo there! Not enough staff for sure. A polite gentleman, his name was Phil the Internet guy, came over and apologized for me waiting for help. In my opinion, he was very helpful and quite kind. He answered all my questions, and frantically searched for a sales rep. After a short wait, he brought over Nicole, a female to my surprise. She was very helpful and friendly also. I must say I did come back during the week as suggested by Mr Phil, and he and Nicole took their time with me, I drank the free coffee, and eventually brought my husband back the following day and bought the car. Although it was a busy little place, I felt good about the entire experience.
"Contributing To My Well Being"
Transparency is something that I value when buying a car. I am grateful for dealerships who have adopted this way of doing business. Mazda in Morristown is one of them. I kept my expectations realistic and based them on multiple web site reviews and pricing guides. These guys were right in the middle of the pack as far as pricing was concerned. They weren’t the lowest, but certainly weren’t the highest either. What really impressed me, though, was their no-pressure approach to helping me. Maybe I could have spent a few dollars less at a larger dealership in another town, but it was worth it to me to pay to be relatively stress-free. The way I see it, my time and well-being are worth something, too. If you share the same values, this is the place for you.
"Last Stop Of The Day"
Of the dealerships in the area, this is by far my favorite. The location is a little hard to find but it’s well worth looking for. They are right on Ridgedale Avenue in Morristown across from a BMW store. If you’re not looking for it, though, you might drive right by. Recently they started putting up a giant inflatable wavy man that helps draw attention to them. The guys there are super helpful and not pushy. Unfortunately, they were my last stop last Saturday. They should have been my first. After getting frustrated at two other Mazda dealerships that I knew about, I found this one on my navigation. I called before going and spoke with a guy named Phil. He was sympathetic with my frustration and was even able to guess the dealerships that I was talking about. He assured me that he could help. When I got there they were busy but Phil came out from his desk to help me. He introduced me to a sales guy who was very pleasant. I’m sorry that I can’t remember his name, but his desk was right inside the main door. I knew exactly what I was looking for and asked if they had one in stock. They did. I asked if they could match the lower of the two prices from the other dealerships that I had visited. After a little conversation, they actually beat the lowest price by about $125. I kept waiting for the “bait and switch†and for their offer to change. But, to my surprise, it didn’t. They actually were very straight forward and explained everything to me. There were some fees that seemed excessive, but even with those fees they were still $125 below the other dealership so I didn’t really care in the end. Maybe it’s best that they were my last ditch effort. I probably wouldn’t have appreciated them as much if I didn’t have some horrible experiences to compare them too. Hope this helps.
"Very Attentive Salesman"
I worked with Mike and because of the distance I had to travel we did most of our negotiating on the phone. When I arrived Mike met me at the door and the car was just as described. The dealership clean and everyone I interacted with was very professional and courteous. I would deal with them again in the future.
"No One Available!!"
Went there to test and buy a car I have been researching for months now and when I got there with my family, no one greeted us or asked if we needed help, or anything. I even went inside the lobby and people just looked at us as we just stood there waiting to be greeted and nothing. We just walked away. The facility was nice thoug, although the selection of cars were not as ample as other Mazda dealers.
"Follow-up"
I usually dont write reviews because I frequently regret it after my opinion changes after several months. Usually promises arent kept and dealerships take their money and run. I am so impressed by my experience at this Morristown dealership that I felt compelled to write this. I bought my CX5 from them back in May. We loved Paul and his whole team. Everyone was friendly and willing to help. Tony, in service, was especially helpful and made us feel very easy about our purchase. But, you would expect that from a dealership that just sold a $30K car. A few days after buying the car, I received a hand written thank-you note from Paul. I really wasnt expecting that. I emailed him to tell him how pleased I was and he emailed me back within a few minutes. I really liked that. Just last week, I brought my car in for its first service. As promised, it was a free. I kept waiting for the "hidden charges" which never came. Tony remembered me and Paul came up to ask how I was enjoying the car. The three of us sat in the waiting area and chatted for about 15 minutes. In about 40 minutes, the car was ready. Im glad that I have a place to go for car repairs with people that I like and trust.
"Thanks Omar!!"
I have purchased used cars from Omar at another Open Road location closer to my home. When I needed another car, I called and asked for him. They told me that he moved to a Morristown dealership, a promotion I guess. I had such a great experience with him previously, I went 45 minutes out of my way to follow him. Long story short, I will always buy my used cars from this guy. My family trusts him with our cars and he has never let us down. Three cars from him in the last six years should say it all. Thanks Omar!!
"Great Sales People"
We went to look at 2014 CX9 Certified with 8200 miles car was same way that was described online, We were welcome by Mike Mego our sales guy who took care of us since the beginning, worked the deal after a nice test drive, Omar Sabla the manager worked the numbers for us and he really got into the payments we were looking for, Jonathan the finance guy also helped us out with all finance paperwork and a tire warranty. It was fast and very honest transaction. We ended up taking the car home that day, My wife is happy and they called me yesterday following up with me to find if everything is good. Thank you guys to make it easy for us, We will recommend you to all our friends.
"Pushy And Rude Sales Manager"

Sales manager, Ryan, is pushy and rude. He is impatient, obnoxious. Because of him, Im buying my new Mazda elsewhere.
"Best Ever...and Free Pizza"
07-19-2014
Small, friendly, personalized attention. Although they were very busy on the day that I stopped by the dealership, they made me feel at home. Bryan brought me a bottle of water and introduced me to his managers while I waited to take a test drive. There was a good energy from all of the staff. It was busy, but controlled and I felt at ease being allowed to shop at my own pace. After about 15 minutes of looking around the showroom, Bryan found me again and we went on a test drive. I had driven a CX5 before, but wanted to drive it again and get a feeling for the salesmans approach. Bryan was great. Informative, but never pushy. He didnt talk too much, which I liked in a strange way. When we got back to the dealership, we sat down to negotiate a price. I brought with me an online quote from Edmunds. He presented it to his manager who quickly agreed. The general manager even stopped by to say hi and offered me some pizza that he had just ordered. Great, great, great car buying experience. My mom was so impressed that she is going next week to trade in her old car for a new Mazda. Be sure to ask for Bryan and some free pizza...LOL.

"Motivated By Snow"
Ive been carpooling with my neighbor for a year now in his CX9. I always liked it more than my Honda, but was never motivated enough to make the change. Well, after being broadsided during last Wednesdays snow storm, I was pretty motivated. I like almost everything about the car and was very familiar with it since Ive been riding and driving one for the last year. My neighbor suggested that I go to Morristown to get it. He had a good experience and even got $100 for referring other friends of ours. I figured it was a win-win. I bought my car on a Friday. They were pretty busy, but there seemed to be enough personalized attention to make it feel OK and not rushed. Brian was my salesman. He was young but surprisingly knowledgeable. The whole purchase was pretty effortless. I knew exactly what I wanted and knew how much I wanted to pay for it. The management seemed to be pretty involved with everyone and spent some time with me. I didnt get the feeling that I was just another sale for the day. The general manager even stopped by to thank me for my patronage. I made sure to remind them to send my neighbor his $100 (kidding).
"Kudos To Mazda Of Morristown"
Kudos to Mazda of Morristown for getting it right. Laid back and friendly enough to provide a comfortable environment. Professional enough to know what theyre talking about. I went with my husband last week to look at CX5s. After reading a lot of reviews, we thought it was worth a look. We met Mike who took his time explaining the features to us and letting us take a long test drive. He was able to answer all of our questions, and had a lot, which made us feel good about working with him. After the drive, we decided it was right car for our family (we have two teenage children who will be driving in a few years). Mike helped us through all of the paperwork...more than we had remembered from the last time we bought a car, but it had been several years. Jonathan, the business manager, was quick and to the point. Both being in retail, my husband and I appreciated the way we were treated. They made it kinda fun. We will definitely be back in a few years when our lease is up.
"10 Years And Going Strong"
Although this is a review of the Mazda dealership, it is also a testament to the entire Open Road group. My family and I have been buying cars from Open Road for more than 10 years. We started with the Honda dealership in Edison, buying our first Accord. We had such a great experience, that we tried the Mercedes dealership next. Another great experience. Now, our youngest daughter is old enough to pick her own car. She chose a Mazda 3. It was a no brainer to head back to Open Road. We werent disappointed. I really like the personal feel we get when were there. I never feel like Im "just another sale" and never feel like Im rushed or pressured. After 10 years, I can honestly say that I will only buy cars from them. I never hear much about them on the radio or in the news paper. Its like my familys own little secret. Maybe thats their way of keeping things small and personal. It works.
"Good For Charity"
Bought a car and helped a local charity, too. Im happy to give this store a big thumbs up. I was going to wait until my current lease was over before upgrading to a 2014 model, but I got a phone call from the dealership offering to get me out of my lease early. Additionally, they said they would donate money toward a local charity if I switched before the end of the year. As a fundraiser in the area myself, I was glad to help. I managed to trade in my old car, get a newer model, keep my payment the same and help St Judes Childrens Hospital. They even made the donation in my name right from the dealership. I think its a win-win.
"Do Your Homework"
You would think that Black Friday would be a terrible time to buy a car. I went prepared for big, obnoxious, crowds and pushy sales people. I brought my husband for moral support (who was less than thrilled) and lots of snacks (I get cranky when I dont eat). We arrived around 9:30 after stopping at some other local shops. I was happy to find that there was no big crowd and everyone working there seemed pleasant enough. My husband and I had done our homework online and knew exactly what we wanted and what we wanted to pay for it. The internet makes this so easy if you know what sites to use. A word or advise: price your car before going to the dealership using three or four different web sites. All of the prices should be very close to each other. If one is WAY OFF, you know something is up. I used to work in retail marketing and know that everyones profit margins are about the same. If a deal seems too good to be true, believe me it is. Dont bother trying to convince the sales staff that you can get an unreasonable price...youll just end up frustrating both of you (Im speaking from experience from both sides). Anyway, we took the average price from three websites and headed out to buy our CX9. We were greeted at the door by Marty who was very pleasant. We let him know that we did our homework and what we were looking for. He was good about moving along at a comfortable pace. We didnt feel rushed, but it certainly didnt drag along either. We test drove a CX9 Grand Touring model (the one we researched) even though we had already made the 90% decision to buy it. We werent disappointed by the drive. It matched all of the reviews that we had read. It was sporty, but really comfortable. It handled really well and didnt feel "mushy" like our previous SUV. And, we really appreciated all of the standard features. We liked that we didnt have to pay extra for the backup camera, side monitors, bluetooth, and too much other stuff to mention. We took advantage of the available rebates and financed the car for 60 months (no penalty for paying it off early!). I dont have anything negative to say about the car or the dealership. Everything went smoothly, probably because we had done so much research and had reasonable expectations. I never needed my copious snacks and we werent there long enough for my husband to get impatient. A win-win situation for everyone.
"Holiday Bonus!"
Since Ive had such great experiences here, Ive been sending my friends and neighbors to look at cars here, too. Some just go to check it out, and others actually end up buying cars from them. They cant thank me enough for the recommendation. When I was in to pick up my plates last month, I jokingly said that I should get some kind of referral fee for all of the people Ive been sending their way. Well, to my surprise, I actually got a check in the mail today! With the check was a very nice card from the general manager, Paul, who thanked me for sending him business. The check was for $100. If I keep this up, I might just be able to pay for my holiday shopping…LOL. I have never had such a good relationship with my car dealership before. I love my Mazda6, but I think I love the dealership as much.
"No More Mini Van"
I bought this car brand new and traded my Honda Odyssey for it. I was tired of the mommy mini van look and was ready to do something nice for myself. The CX5 is considerably smaller than the Odyssey, as far as storage, but I’m not lugging around strollers and car seats any more. I like that it’s MUCH better on gas and more fun to drive. I appreciate that sunroof and the keyless start. I feel like driving more, now. I make excuses to take it on long trips and get lots of questions and compliments about it. I’m getting a bit spoiled with the back-up camera and blind spot alert…but who cares, I deserve it. My husband likes driving it, too. He used to make fun of the mini van, but now takes my car whenever he can. I can’t say enough positive things about Anthony, our salesman. He was very pleasant and made us feel very comfortable. We went on a test drive together and he was helpful answering all of our questions. The only downside, I guess, is that he had to keep asking his manager for pricing details. This is a “game†that I really dislike about buying a car, but it seems to be the same way where ever you go. I won’t criticize him for it, though, it’s not his fault. It didn’t take us long to agree upon a fair price for the Odyssey and for my new CX5. I left them a deposit and agreed to pick up the car the following day after they installed a roof rack. Again, Anthony was very accommodating. When I came back the next day, the car was parked in the front of the dealership. There was a handwritten sign in the windshield welcoming me. Nice touch! The guy that does all of the paperwork was pleasant enough. Everything went smoothly, which I was glad for because my husband didn’t come back with me. I would say that I was in and out in about an hour, and that included the time that Anthony took to explain all of the new features.
"From Ok To Great"
First let me say, that I wasnt going to write a review. I actually bough my car a few weeks ago, and didnt think it was anything special. I felt like it was just a normal buying experience. Everyone was nice, and everyone was friendly, but it didnt move me enough to write a review. Today, however, it was a different story. I brought my car in for its free oil change. I was met by the servie manager, Tony, who is very nice and personable. While my oil was being changed, I asked if someone could help me update the maps in my navigation system. They introduced me to the general manager, Paul, who was very helpful. At Pauls suggestion, I took the Sims card out of the car and tried to download the maps myself using my Mac laptop. I couldnt get it to work. Paul was very patient and spent over an hour with me trying to the maps updated. We both had a lot of problems using my laptop. when all was said and done, the maps were updated and we reinstalled the Sims card into my car. Im so grateful that Paul was able to help. If it werent for him, it would never have gotten done. I would have given up. He was extrememly gracious and willing to help for as long as it took. Its that kind of service that I really appriciate, and prompted me to write the review. I will definately bring my car back to the open road team.

The TomTom manual was very confusing. He was extremely gracious and willing to help for long as it took. Its that kind of service that I really appreciate, and prompted me to write the review. "Quick And Easy"
Surprisingly quick and easy. I shopped a competitor Mazda dealership a few days ago which was larger and didn’t have a very good experience, plus they didn’t have the car I wanted in stock. I always liked the look of the Morristown dealership from the outside and decided to give them a try. They are a smaller store tucked away on Ridgedale Ave on the out skirts of Morristown. If you blink, you’ll miss them. I stopped in first thing in the morning, before any of the sales people were there. I looked around the lot and found the car I was looking for. Actually, I found two cars that I think my wife would like. I met Phil who was one of the managers and was really helpful. He introduced me to Marty who was a salesman. Marty was also very nice and helpful. I explained that I liked two different CX5s, but the final decision was going to be my wife’s. Unlike the other dealership, there was no pressure to make a decision right then and there. I liked that. They were very accommodating and understanding. I liked them so much, that instead of waiting for my wife to come to the dealership, I took pics of the cars and sent them to her. She made a decision to get a red Grand Touring CX5. While I was waiting to do the paperwork, I sat in their “café†and watched Good Morning America. They were giving away a red CX5 to a contest winner!! I figured it was a good sign. Everything went quickly and easily. I never had that sinking feeling that I was making a bad decision or that I would have problems with these guys in the future. Everyone seemed very genuine. Not your typical car salesmen. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.
"Worth The Drive"
After seeing my neighbors new car with the Open Road Mazda license plate, I asked how she liked the car and the dealership. She said she loved both the CX9 and the dealership. I wondered why she drove so far to get the car. She said she had a bad experience with our local Mazda dealership, but heard good things about this one so she decided to try it for herself. She said she bought the car with very little hassle and at a good price. Sounded good to me. My husband and I drove up after work on Friday. When we arrived just before 7:00, though, the building was dark and looked closed. This was not looking good and we felt a little frustrated after having just made an hour and a half drive. Luckily, we met Phil behind the dealership. He was very gracious and spent a lot of time talking to us about the dealership and the CX9. I know he probably really wanted to get home, but it was nice that he didnt rush our questions. We ended up having a nice dinner in Morristown and talking about the CX9. We drove back the next morning and met with Phil and Clark. Although we had already driven our neighbors car, we drove another trim level of the CX9. It was hard to choose between the different benefits of each. Clark, like Phil, was patient and really took his time explaining all of the pros and cons of each. We finally chose a Grand Touring with Technology Package. It really fit our needs and we feel it will last us for many years. It was about 2K more than we were planning on spending based on our neighbors price, but the extra features make it really nice. After deciding on a specific car, Clark had them detail it for us before we took it home. The paperwork was done pretty quickly and the staff was very accomodating. Every fifteen minutes or so, someone checked in with us to make sure everything was going OK. Both my husband and I commented that we liked the friendliness of the dealership and were glad the our neighbor recommended them. It is a bit far from our home, and Im not sure that we will service our car here, but for the price and the hassle-free transaction, I would deffinately recommend buying a car from them. Its funny, although we live an hour and a half away, I see a lot of their license plates around town. I hope they can continue doing business in such a straight forward friendly way. Word definately gets around and I think it will bring them a lot of business.
"Pleased"
I was very pleased to have bought a car from Anthony yesterday. It was terribly busy, I guess everyone else had the same idea to buy a car on the last day of the month ( I will never do that again ). Anyway, despite being busy, Anthony took his time with me and I never felt rushed. After a few hours, I left with my new CX9. Love, love, love this car! The only problem, and I blame myself, is that I was there for three hours. The manager clearly felt bad for my wait. He bought pizza for everyone there which made things a bit better. It felt like a family pizza party. Overall, great experience.
"Thanks Marty"
I just wanted to share a great buying experience. My wife and I stopped in a few weeks ago I met with Marty. We told Marty what we were interested in and he said he would keep an eye out. We got a phone call yesterday from Marty, saying that he had just a car for us. I came in this morning with my wife to take a look. The car was a certified preowned Mazda with very low miles. The car looked great, but I wanted to have my own mechanic take a look. Marty and the GM were very accommodating. After getting the approval from my mechanic, I left the deposit for the vehicle so that it wouldnt be sold to someone else. My wife and I will come back tomorrow to complete the paperwork and take our New car home. What an easy experience! I would recommend this dealership to any of my family and friends.
"Did My Homework"
I just bought a used car from them. It was a CX9 that had been in their courtesy car program. It didnt have alot of miles on it and seemed like it was in good condition. My fiance is a mechanic and asked to check it out. He checked it and said it looked pretty much like a new car to him. Its nice having a mechanic in the family to keep everyone honest. It did have a little scratch on the bumper, but I figured I would probably have done that soon anyway. We did all the paperwork today and I will pick it up tomorrow. My only criticism is that the car only had one key. I guess I can have one made with the money that I saved. Over all, good experience. Nice people. GREAT deal. Fantastic car!
"Mazda Shopper"
For those of you who remember, this used to be a Nissan dealership. Im so glad they changed a few years ago to mazda. Totally new show room. Very modern. Ive been seeing a lot more Mazdas on the road and I like the way they look. I stopped in last week to check them out. Good stuff. Nice people. Friendly atmosphere. Cool cars. I drove the CX5 after being told that they are their biggest seller. Loved it. I wasnt ready to lease one yet, but Ill definitely come back when my current lease is up. Worth stopping by...
"On A Whim"
I just leased a CX5 from them after stopping by on a whim. Originally, I justed wanted to see the new Mazda 3, but fell in love with the CX5. Its seems more practical with winter coming. I worked with Clark who was wonderful. Friendly, knowledgable, honest. After driving both cars, I like the feeling of the CX5. I like sitting up high and the pick up. I will definitely be back when my son passes his driving test.
"Cool And Hip"
What a great vibe this place has. I stopped in the other day to check out their new models. The music, the people, and the displays were very modern. I liked it so much, I brought my friend back today. She ended up buying a new car. I just liked hangin out and playing the Playstation racing game.
