"Rod Franey Horrid Customer Service"
Purchased a 2013 Hyundai Elantra at this location in 2014 and up until recently I had a decent experience with the dealership, nothing terrible or exceeding expectations. The vehicle was totaled in an accident in 2017 and I was required to reach out to the dealership for copies of purchase documents to file for GAP insurance, which was also purchased from the location. I spoke with the finance manager Rod Franey and he assured us that the documents would be faxed to the GAP insurance company shortly. Weeks went by and I spoke with him again and still nothing. 9 weeks passed and I left numerous voicemails on Rod Franeys machine and received no calls back. I finally forced the front desk to hunt Mr. Franey down and spoke with him only to have him tell me that he could not get any copies of the documents I required (bill of sale, factory invoice, etc.) He stated that the documents were in a warehouse across the town and it would take him over half a day to track down the documents. Despite me pleading to him with woes and hardships from the accident, he continued to dismiss my request stating that retrieving documents from their warehouse is something they dont normally do. I was forced to have the attourney representing us on the motor vehicle accident reach out to the dealership and force Mr. Franey to do his job. Again, I have no problem with this dealership aside from my experience with Rod Franey. If the rest of this dealership has any employees that try to dismiss the requests and concerns of their customers then I would recommend shopping elsewhere.
"My Experience At First Hyundai"
My experience with Derek as a salesman was excellent. He worked with me on my trade in and purchasing my Hyundai Santa Fe! I love my new car and was happy with my time there purchasing my vehicle. Would recommend first Hyundai to family & friends.
"Mikec"
Great experience - had the car I wanted- set up appointment to test drive-salesman Derek was available as soon as I walked in - Derek had answers to all my questions - price was competitive and we finished deal from start to finish in about an hour. Follow up phone calls were returned without delay. Id definitely return for my next car needs.
"Worst Hyundai Dealership In New England"
This dealership is the worst that I have dealt with in my 46 years of buying cars. From the purchase process to repairs. I called the dealership with an electrical problem. I was told they wouldnt cover it because I was 150 miles over the warranty. I will buy hyundais in the future but never deal with them
"Highly Reccomended"
The service is right on time with my appointment and the service representative was helpful friendly and knowledgeable. I was very satisfied with the service and highly recommend First Hyundai.
"Quick & Friendly"
Quick and friendly. 5 stars ......................
"They Treat Their Customers Like ****"
This was the worst experience that Ive ever had at a car dealership. The sales manager, was rude. The internet sales department overpromises and underdelivers. They told me the car I was looking for was ready for delivery. I arrived, they pulled up the wrong car (Took 50 Minutes to get the car). The could care less about my concerns and they just bragged about how many cars they sold. I emailed the owner and the only reply I received was a call from internet sales trying to sell me a car. This dealership represents all the reasons you dont trust car sales people. I would stay far away. I even thought that by getting the internet sales team to send me an email verifying our deal would help but it didnt. The general manager Anthony just said that there was a miscommunication between internet sales and him. Classic.
"Five Star, All The Way!!!"
The vehicle I wanted was very difficult to find in this area, since it was manual transmission. In my own search, I was able to locate only 1 in a 25 mile radius, at a different dealership with whom I was not comfortable. First Hyundai promised that they could find the car I wanted, and guaranteed me a price for it (with me leaving a small good faith deposit - very reasonable). They advised that it could take a couple days to get the car in, so they gave me a loaner to use in the meantime. The salesman then came in the following day - his day off - to go to Connecticut to pick up the car. Once the car was on the lot I came in, completed the paperwork, and was out in almost no time in my new car. The price hadnt mysteriously changed like at other dealerships, there were no new "fees" added in, nothing. The price was exactly what was agreed upon, and the financing was completed without incident. THIS is what car buying should be like! By far this was the most pleasant experience Ive ever had when buying a car, and based on this I will be coming back for ALL of my future car-buying needs.
"Very Dissapointing Experience"
We were very excited about purchasing a certified pre-owened Hyundai especially with their First for Life program, with free lifetime oil changes, tire rotations, etc. But once the papers were signed, everything fell apart. Calls werent returned, the salesman flat out lied about work (removing the rear window tint) that was supposed to be happening while we waited to pick up the car. We were ready to pull of the lot when we noticed they didnt fill up the gas tank (something they advertise). They took us and filled the tank. Then as we were about to leave again when we were stopped by the salesman-he forgot to give us the financial paperwork and warranty information. As if this wasnt bad enough, we got pulled over on the way home for a bust tag light. THEY SERUOUSLY LET US LEAVE THE LOT WITH A BUSTED LIGHT. The next morning we notice that they didnt bother to clean up during the removal of the rear tint. Good sized pieces of tint were all over the seats, floors and trunk and the solution used to remove it left a huge white residue stain on the rear pillar. So we brought the car back two days later to have these things corrected (and to also get an inspection sticker, which they didnt do). After more than 5 hours at the dealership (thankfully they let us use a loaner) we picked the car up only to find they hadnt cleaned the stain or replaced the bulb! This was such a disappointing experience. They were apologetic each time but made no effort, no attempt to try and make us happy customers again. They just did the work that was supposed to be done in the first place.
"Great Service And Great People!"
My wife and I recently purchased a Hyundai Elantra from First Hyundai in North Attleboro, MA. Tommy Marchand, our sales person, was excellent. He was very helpful in assisting us to find the right vehicle for our family. There was no pressure and no bull. Tommy was thoughtful, informative and thorough as he took the time to answer all our questions and really made us feel comfortable. Thank you Tommy and thank you First Hyundai.
"Mr J.d."
I began my buying process at a Hyundai dealer in NY and, after realizing they couldnt fulfill my request, I ended up contacting First Hyundai over the phone. I was answered by a woman named "Deb" I believe who proceeded to not actually be a saleswoman and gave me false information that prompted me to drive 5 hours down to Massachusetts in the hopes of purchasing a Veloster. I did end up making the deal after MANY setbacks and hoops to jump through. I returned home in NY on a Sunday night (May 1st.) I received my registration in the mail 28 days later after they told me it would take a week. The registration was processed much earlier than that and they held onto it as collateral until I was able to send them the title for my traded in vehicle; something they knew was on the way and, frankly, has nothing to do with a newly purchased cars registration. When I received the registration my 10 day grace period to have my car inspected was almost expired; I had 24 hours to get an inspection in order to avoid my car being on the road illegally and it was the memorial day weekend. I had attempted to contact First Hyundai everyday for a week prior to this and they NEVER returned my calls. I want from a friendly, helpful dealer in NY to a lackluster sales team that did little to nothing to put my mind at ease or help me fill out the paperwork. Overall, I was promised a certain monthly car payment that I barely managed to get out of them at the price of a limited warranty instead of an unlimited one. The convinced me to make a road trip I was uncomfortable with and almost flaked out on the deal. I would not suggest working with this dealership if you are from out of state and dont expect any assistance when finalizing paperwork. The only positive out of this experience is that I managed to acquire the vehicle I wanted from the beginning. A fact that they seemed to have no problem exploiting.
"Buying Process & Customer Service"
I recently purchased a 2016 Tucson Sport 1.6 and love it. Extremely comfortable and quite to drive, gas mileage on highway trips reached 32.9!! The salesman was James C. very knowledge, personable I highly recommend First Hyundai & James to any friends & family.
"Great Customer Service"
I feel very welcomed every time I bring my vehicle in for service. Staff is very knowledgable and I have never came across a issue scheduling a appointment and leaving in a timely manner. Thank You
"Great Service"
I was please with the attention that I was treated. I highly recommend mr Ronald and his highly knowledge of the product and the way I was approach.
"Amazing Dealership!!!"
I have a special needs daughter who is on hospice and I required a dealership that was flexible, dependable and patient. I found both the online and on-site service excellent. We visited several dealerships but came back because they were the only ones willing to work around my schedule.
"Very Friendly"
We had been looking at used cars and as we were in the area, we decided to look at First Hyundai. When we were there we were met by a very friendly salesman by the name of Mark. He listened to what we were looking for and then gave us ideas of what he had in stock. He then took things a step further and gave us other suggestions, lease instead of buy, etc. He worked hard to find us a solution that we could work with in our budget. When the decided to go ahead and lease from them, Mark and all the other staff were excellent in their friendliness and their knowledge. They answered every question we threw at them easily and thoroughly. The pick up of the car went just as smooth and we were in and out quickly and easy. If I had one tiny complaint, it would be that there wasnt much parking available. But that was probably because of huge inventory they had on the lot. I would highly recommend First Hyundai if you are looking for great, knowledgeable and friendly service.
"Great Second Time Visit"
Last year, I had leased a 2015 Sonata, needless to say, I didnt get a good deal. After a lot of hard work, and a job change, I went back to First Hyundai, and was blown away. I knew I had to come up with a good size down payment to get what I wanted, and I did. James Clanton was above and beyond for sales, in contrast to my last sales encounter. He pulled the vehicle I wanted right up to the front door, worked with me to get the payments I wanted, plus a few add-ons, to protect my new vehicle. I could not be happier, I am going to tell all my friends and family to go to First Hyundai.
"Very Nice And Friendly Clean"
I went to get a recall kind of service done, it was very easy everyone was nice and friendly smooth visit.. Knowing how a dealership can be I highly recommend First Hyundai after my experience I love my Hyundai 204k and still runs great.. Definitely going to get another Hyundai down the road but mine is great right now and I still love it 10 years in..¿¿
"Fast ,friendly, Never Overbearing First Class"
This was my 4th certified auto from First Hyundai in 6 years . In those years I dealt with Anthony D Coccia Jr . He is now the General Sales Manager .when I came in 2 weeks ago my wifes 2007 Sonata was totaled in a car crash .I was passing by the lot ,Anthony was out side talking to a salesman noticed me and remember my name ( I have not seen him for at least 2-3 years ) he was very concerned about my wife and assured me that as soon as insurance claim was work thru , he would personally help find a replacement . True to his word we found and purchased a certified 2013 sonata . All of the service that we have done over the years have always been friendly ,even when I may have disagreed with a issue ,the service manager was right there and we work things out .i have never left the dealership feeling disappointed. When my wife has taken the cars for service ,she has also been treated with fantastic service . We are First Hyundai customers always . Again Anthony thank you for your kindness first and your salesmanship .
"Great Place, Great People"
Ive come here several times for service/repairs and I wouldnt go anywhere else. Staff is excellent and friendly. Customer service is amazing. Always a huge help with anything I need. They always take care of me. Good to have a place you can rely on to take care of your car.
"Great Sales Person!"
I recently bought a Tucson Ultimate edition and was treated very well by sale person named Mike. He was very professional, helpful and considerate throughout my buying experience. He treated me as if I was a friend which is very unusual. I didnt feel pressured at anytime throughout the buying process. He has even continued to take time to help me the following days to get it in to ensure it got the latest ecu updates. I stopped in today because my heat not working properly and he came out to look at it for me even though it was a Sunday and service department was closed. Im very impressed with Mikes customer service and will continue to shop at First Hyundai in the future.
"Super Rude Sale Representative"
super rude representative, i asked for sales, she started making fun doing some calculations on my offered price, they just dont appreciate customers looking to buy cars from them. i was referred to this dealer by a friend ... NOT going to buy and will never go again.

"Incompetent Internet Sales Department"
This will be my 5th vehicle purchased on-line. Personally, I have been responsible for leading sales teams originating billions of on-line sales over the years. Billions – not millions. I have been negotiating simultaneously with 2 dealerships found on Cars.com: First Hyundai & Braman Motors. On 9/19 I am picking up my car at Braman, because they were professional & responsive. The likelihood I will ever purchase a car from First Hyundai in nill. Here are the reasons why: 1. I was first contacted by three different people at First Hyundai – none of them realized what the other was doing. 2. They missed the first phone appointment they confirmed. 3. I finally started dealing with David Hammeltime; who turned out to be one of the most inexperienced, amateur on-line sales rep I have encountered. How am I qualified to make this observation? Remember, this is my job to lead on-line sales teams.
"Respect"
LET ME START BY SAYING -IF WE HAVE BAD SERVICE WE HAVE NO PROBLEM LETTING EVERYONE KNOW , WELL WHEN WE HAVE GOOD SERVICE WE SHOULD DO THE SAME!!!!! I WENT TO FIRST HYUNDAI NOT WITH THE INTENTION TO BUY LEASE OR LEAVE WITH ANYTHING MORE THEN I WENT THERE WITH. I WAS TREATED WITH RESPECT!!! THEY DID NOT TREAT ME LIKE " A WOMEN" WITH MONEY TO SPEND AND NO COMMON SENSE. I LEFT WITH A 2015 LIMITED HYUNDAI AWD AND A GOOD FEELING. I WOULD RECOMMEND GOING TO SEE JOHN AND ANDRE YOU WILL LEAVE SATISFIED. DONT LET THE HAIR FOOL YOU JOHN IS A GOOD GUY!!!! TELL THEM LISA SENT YOU
"Great Salemanship"
Derek was a wonderful salesman. He gave great attention to detail and helped me to find the perfect car. He spent an enormous amount of time and had a great deal of patience. He was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the purchase process. I would recommend this dealership and Derek to anyone. Wonderful buying experience.

"Buying My New Car"
my name is Jennifer Winn, i leased a 2015 Hyundai Sante Fe on Saturday June 6, 2015 from Jose Branco and i was very impressed with the service i received and i would recommend the dealership to anyone i know looking for a vehicle.
"Buying Vehicle"
I Bruce Tufts had an excellent buying experience. Jose Branco was very helpful and did not pressure us into anything we were bot comfortable with.
"Bad Customer Service"
I had found a Hyundai Elantra online that I was interested in. When I emailed to find out if it was still available, I received and email back quickly saying the car was available, so I scheduled a test drive. When I arrived, the car that I was interested in had been sold. My salesman, James, showed me "the exact same car" so I took it for a test drive. During the test drive James explained nothing about the car and was more concerned with socializing. I had to ask the questions. Finally when it came down to negotiating, I felt like I was being pushed into a deal I did not want. Not to mention this car was $3,000 more than the other one. They kept asking for more money down, and I did not want to do that. Eventually they came back with a number that worked for me. When I went back a few days later to finish the paperwork I was there for 2 1/2 hours waiting and was then told that because of another car loan I had, no bank would accept me, atleast not at a payment I was comfortable with. Needless to say it was a long process, and I did not enjoy my overall experience. First Hyundai really needs to work on their communication and customer service skills.
""free State Inspection Sticker ""
Horrible experience every time I get my vehicle serviced here I bought a brand new accent from them in Feb 2012 We also bought a new Nissan from Nissan Village in May of 2012 Today I went in to get my "free inception sticker " and was told in order to get my sticker I needed to pay $500.00 for 4 new tires !! The car only has 20k miles !! Their free sticker is only a way for them to get you into their service department to pay for things you do not need They also brought in my air filter to show me how dirty it was (the happened during my last oil change) Hyundai must be selling cars with defective oil filters because this was never brought to my attention when I brought my Nissan in for an oil change just last week and this car has 30k miles Stay clear of this dealer !!!!
"Great Experience"
I came to first hyundai because I wanted to purchase another sonata. The dealer who approached my father and I was very helpful and mostly very patient. I was with my father who had been a salesman and he knew how to negotiate and Marvin at First hyundai was just the right guy to help us out. I walked out of there with confidence in the car I picked out and I was pleased with the service and with my experience. :)
"Great Experience! Wonderful Salesman!"
I had gone to another Hyundai dealership 2 days prior to my visit to First Hyundai . I knew the exact car I wanted.. A 2014 Sonata charcoal Grey . The other dealership didnt want to work with me on my payments. I told my salesman, Marvin Wells, at First Hyundai exactly what I wanted and he took me for a test drive and I took the car home with me that night! First Hyundai worked with me to make my payments manageable ! Would recommend this dealership to everyone!
"Lack Of Computer Knowledge"
I found a car on cars.com that I wanted to test drive from First Hyundai but a few days had passed I checked there web site and did not see the car I wanted so I assumed it was sold. The next day I received an email telling me it was still available. So, I made an appointment over the phone. I was called back twice to confirm the time. What they didnt bother to confirm was that they HAD SOLD THE CAR. I drove down on my one free day of the week. I saw the car out front with a flat tire and a "sold" sticker in the window. I was given a half felt apology and an offer to test drive another car I didnt want. In a way Im glad I didnt have to go through the buying process with this dealership because they seem to only care if you waist their time, not if they waist yours.
"2013 Hyundai Elantra"
I have used this dealer for 8 years and NEVER had a Problem with anything.
""free" Inspections"
I bought a used vehicle from First Hyundai a year ago. Upon the closing of the sale I was told the vehicle came with free state inspections each year for as long as I owned the vehicle. The details of the "free" inspection and how it works were eliminated by the salesman. I called the dealership today to inquire about my free inspection and was told that I first have to make an appointment with the service department at the dealership for a safety inspection, in my opinion, this is a way for the dealership to try to find things wrong with the vehicle to sell to the customer. After First Hyundai performs the safety inspection I would then get a voucher to go to another location to get the free state inspection. I am in sales myself and it is important to give customers details especially when something is considered a free service. This is a very deceitful sales practice.
"Terrible Online Experience"
I contacted First Hyundai about a used Hyundai Santa Fe. Instead of a "thanks for contacting us, how can we help you?" email, I received an email that asked where I was located. I replied with my location, and then received an email that said: "WE are in Boston???". First off, one liner emails is not what I was expecting. Other dealers I have contacted were quick to provide me super detailed information without asking where I as located and answered every question I have had. Secondly, the way the emails were written, it was evident they did not want the hassle of dealing with someone from out of state.
"Excellent"
Awesome experience!!! I would never go to a different dealership than FIRST HYUNDAI
"Great Dealership"
I have just purchased my second Hyundai Sonata from First Hyundai. I can say without overstating that this dealership treats its customers in a highly professional manner. From the owner down, the employees go that extra step to ensure that you leave satisfied with the sales process, excellent service and are fairly treated on price. I will continue to recommend them to anyone considering buying a high quality car backed with superb service to shop First Hyundai.
"Poor Used Car Buying Experience"
03-27-2013
I inquired about a used 2006 Chevy Malibu for my fiance that I had seen online. Rule #1 . . . Dont buy a Chevy from a Hyundai dealership. . . Well, she liked this one so we decided to buy it. After sitting for hours and hours in the freezing "used car" building (they have a nice building if you are buying a new car) we finally agreed on a deal. The driver side mirror was chipped but the dealership promised to fix it when we would pick up the car the next day. We arrived to pick up the car and it was not fixed. We were told it would be about a week or get the part, this made sence that they didnt have a Chevy part and a Hyundia dealer, so that was ok. They said we could take the car and to bring it back the following weekend to put on the new mirror and get an inspection sticker. Within two days the check engine light came on. When the next weekend came around we dropped off the car and also mentioned the check engine light. . . They took all day and NEVER DID THE INSPECTION STICKER!!! We were told "not sure it could have been water in the gas, dont worry about it." Also, to come back next weekend for the inspection sticker (it had already been a week) BS!!! Within a week our car had trouble starting and the check engine light came back on again. The dealership said there was nothing they could do for us at that point unless we wanted to pay to schedule a service appointment. We ended up using fuel injector cleaner, replacing the spark plugs and a valve out of our own pockets only 2 weeks after buying this car. It seems to be ok now. I would not reccomend this dealership. They did not make any attempt to resolve the issue after the sale was made. Each time we called we would get the run around, "Hang up, call back and ask for sales, hang up, call back and ask for service." Awful.
