I was in need of a quality car for a reasonable price and had visited many dealers over the course of a week or so. I have a good job, credit not great, but the means to pay for a nice car. The problem was every other dealer wanted to take advantage of my few mistakes and penalize me significantly so they could make more $$ off of me. That is until I met Kris White at Portsmouth Used Car Superstore. He never once mentioned my issues, he only worked hard to get me a fair price, an awesome 2013 Volvo S60 and made it the most enjoyable experience Ive ever had. I turn cars around every 2-3 years as styles change and I will never go to anyone else but Kris and his team from now on. Its only been less than a month and Im trading my second SUV in for a luxury SUV. Im in the customer service/sales industry and I have never had as complete an experience as I have had here. All you need to do is give them a shot and Im sure theyll deliver as theyve done for me.....

After calling the dealership ahead of time and speaking with Teri Montmagny; I came in knowing exactly the 2013 GMC Terrain I planned to purchase, the amount I expected to pay, and what I wanted for my trade-in. We both expected a quick and easy sales process. I drove the Terrain, and was very disappointed with the power and some of the equipment. Teri and Kris White the business manager tried to have the equipment upgraded so that I could be satisfied with the vehicle. When an upgrade was not available, Teri listened to what I wanted and needed and offered another vehicle on the lot - a 2014 Ford Escape. I drove it and found it to have exactly the power and equipment I was looking for and a better price! Teri, Kris and everyone else at the dealership was extremely friendly, accommodating and treated me like a friend which provided an outstanding experience. I will definitely be back when I am ready to trade my Escape for my next vehicle.

Although Portsmouth Used Car Superstore didnt have exactly what we were looking for they went out and found the vehicle that met our needs. The vehicle had a significant scratch before we purchased it, and we thought we were going to have to have it touched up by a body shop. I went here hoping for a "buy here, pay here" deal on an older car that would at least pass inspection. I came in and was met by Kriss White. I told him my situation: my credit score is 535, I have $1500 to put down, can I do buy here, pay here on a cheap car. He told me I didnt need to. They could get me approved for a much better car through the banks. He was right. He introduced me to my salesperson, John Teel. Kriss gave me some very good and insightful information on how the banks review loan applications, and recommended a price range, and model year they would be most likely to approve me on. John showed me a number of vehicles that fit those criteria, and we picked out a first, and second choice, and filled out the paperwork. Both choices were rejected by the banks (one was too old and high mileage, and the other wasnt made anymore, which they didnt like), however, one of the other cars I had expressed an interest in was a 2012 Jetta, and John sent in the request because he thought it was the best shot. His intuition proved correct and the bank approved me. I was hoping for a 10-year old car with 120,000 miles on it as a best case scenario. Instead I drove away in a 2012 Jetta with half that. I never expected to qualify for something like that. Purchase aside, both John and Kriss were exceptionally helpful and good people. Ive applied for car loans before and have been literally treated like an annoyance at other dealerships. Made to feel like I was a bother to be dealt with as quickly as possible. These guys treated me with honest and sincere Human decency and really worked to help me. I honestly believe they actually cared. Im always up-front and honest about my credit history when I shop for a car, and most of the time, Im pushed to the side. These guys honestly did their very best to help me out and it paid off fantastically. They were exceptionally knowledgeable, courteous, and kind, and made me feel like a valued customer. I could not possibly recommend this dealership, and these gentlemen more highly. If you are in a situation where your credit sucks royally, and you dont have much cash to put down, GO SEE THESE GUYS! They can probably help you, and they wont treat you like dirt. Seriously, you could really drive away in a good car. Obviously, with my credit, I paid a huge interest rate. Thats the banks, not the dealership, and I expected it and theres nothing they could do about it, but I had no car, and only $1500 to work with, and I drove home in a 2-year old car with low mileage instead of a junker off the side of the road. I could not be more happy with my experience. John even followed me home so I didnt have to walk back (I was in a borrowed car). Love my new car, thanks guys!.
