Ive been trying to simply get information on a used car they advertised for 5 days now. I was promised return calls from 2 different salespeople Joe and Daine. They never returned calls despite promissing that they would. Very unprofessional. It makes me wonder if they just want to charge a higher price than they advertised.

On July 23rd 2017, after researching a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport AWD, my son went to Rockland Hyundai and Jeff was the sales person who my son dealt with. From beginning to end, Jeff did everything right by my son. Got my son the truck he wanted with the payment he could afford. I cannot say enough good things about Jeff and Rockland Hyundai. My husband and I will be leasing our next cars from Jeff and Rockland Hyundai and we are from Long Island and we have no issue making the trip up to Rockland Hyundai because we know Jeff and the staff there will do the right thing. Usually, you are at a dealership for hours....not us....Very smooth process! If you need a car, please go to Rockland Hyundai and ask for Jeff....You will not be disappointed!
"I Wish I Could Leave Minus 5 Star Review"
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. I called the dealership on a Wednesday and they sent me paperwork to "pre qualify" for financing. They were supposed to call me the next day but I ended up calling them instead. This should have been my first red flag. I spoke to Steph (male) in the financing department who told me that I was pre-qualified so I made an appointment for the next day (Friday). On Friday morning I get a call from the person I originally spoke to the one who sent me the loan app. I told her I was coming in that day to hopefully make a purchase. I get to the dealership and the white haired man sitting in the first desk says hello gorgeous (is that supposed to make me want to buy a car?) Then he tries to find a sales person to help me. Mind you not one sales person including him had a customer (whatever) He finally hands me over to this young kid Rich. During the course of our conversation I find out that if he sells me a car it will be his first red flag #2. Lucky me! We take a test drive and I tell him thats the car that I want. He then takes my information and hands it over to his "sales manager" Tristen. Oh let me not forget that I arrived at the dealership at 2:30PM. The "sales manager" runs my info and tells me that they can get me into a car but not for my payments; okay fair enough. I ask what if I have a co-signer? Perfect they say. So, now I have a car picked out that I want and my credit is done all I have to do is come back the next day with my father (co-signer) and we have a deal. Simple, right? Not at this place. I left it was 5:30PM (3 hours of my life I will never get back). I had an appointment for the next day Saturday at 11:00 AM and my father would meet me there. Saturday arrives I get there my dad has already given them the information and guess what... They just sold the car I wanted and not the night before but 5 minutes before I got there; that should have been red flag # 3. So I say ok I had saved 4 cars on the website so I just chose another car. After all it was the same car just a different color. Turns out this one was prettier. Ok; test drive. while we are out on the test drive we thought that the "sales manager" Tristen was running my fathers credit. How silly of us. He didnt start to run the credit until 2:00 PM thats right 3 hours after my appointment was set for and 3 hours after they had taken all my dads info. And, they still didnt have an answer from the bank so we figured we would go to lunch for an hour (next door at the diner mind you) and by the time we got back we should have our answer; again simple, right? Well guess what...not only did they not have an answer but now Tristen was in a Managers" meeting. They made my 83 year old father sit in that waiting room for a total of 6 thats right 6 hours only to tell him as we were walking out the door that they still hadnt gotten the approval. Now, I ask you; If its a Saturday and you have the credit information at 11:00 AM why in the world would you wait until 2:00 PM knowing that the banks close early to try and get an approval? Not the end of my story though. We sat and waited for that man to come out and talk to us for 2 hours after we had lunch and he never came out to talk to us. He kept saying he was on his way but he never arrived.(Must have been a really long walk) Now, its 2 days later and my father has called to talk to someone to find out 1. if they ever got an approval and 2. if they didnt why not and its been 6 hours and nobody has called him back yet. I dont know about anyone else but what a disgusting lack of consideration and respect. That bald man on the television owes me 9 hours of life and $500.00 for not getting me a loan. He also owes my 83 year old father (who by the way has a car that he leased from this very dealership) a huge apology. Totally disgusting if it were my dealership I would definitely give my sales force some lessons on how to close a

I contacted Rockland Hyundai to purchase a vehicle and I am out of state so I explained that I am out of state and had gotten financing from my local bank and needed them to send over paperwork and I would have the car shipped. Well after several conversations with a couple of people there who obviously had no clue what I was talking about but said ok, they would have their sales or finance manager to call me..never got a call back, so I called them back and they said "o you have to come into the office" I tried explaining again what I wanted to do and reiterated that I live out of state and asked to speak to a manager..I was placed on hold, to have her come back to say, they said you have to come in and hung up. Waste of time.. Absolutely unprofessional!

Shama was great to work with and finance was very clear and upfront. I have been leasing cars for a long time and had 4 Mercedes leases and currently 2 Chrysler Leases. So my expectations are high, I will say that from a customer service standpoint your getting closer to that level of customer service. I would recommend your sales team only work with one customer at a time, avoid phone calls and distractions and only focus on that customer until the deal is totally finished and the customer drives away. Other than that this time around was a great experience, and I will recommending Shama within my network.

Ive had my car two weeks. I bought a used SUV that Im very happy with at a great price and the service I experienced was top notch. For the total amount that I paid, Im better off than the great majority of the prices Im seeing online for similar vehicles. I worked with Juan, who was very helpful and patient. I liked not being rushed as I looked at a few vehicles. Car buying takes a while, but Juan and the dealership were fine with me taking a whole afternoon to get comfortable making a big purchase. After the purchase, I contacted the dealership for a 2nd key, and was able to just send a text, and Juan called me back to let me know he was taking care of it. When you hear something like that, it feels like these guys arent just trying to make a few sales, theyre trying to do a good job as well, and I very much appreciate it.

Was interested in purchasing a 2008 evolution x, which I was contacted several times about the cars availability. My appointment was for 1:30, when I arrived no one spoke with me for 20mins. Then I was told the vehicle was sold, when they called me earlier to confirm the appointment no one stated the vehicle was no longer available.

I went to the Dealer for a routine oil change and left there with a new 2016 Hyundai Elantra. I had spoken to the salesman I had previously dealt with and expressed my concerns with him. I had referred my friends to the dealer and they were not satisfied with their experience so they walked out. Javier went above and beyond to rectify the situation. From the Service Department to the Finance Department all over great customer service!! Highly recommend

I usually dont write reviews and seldom read them. I did read the reviews on Yelp before I went to this dealership to get two recalls done on my car. The reviews were bad. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try them out. Boy was I wrong! They did the two recalls. I had to come back a second time because they didnt have the parts for the 2nd one. The counter manager Mike Rowan was very pleasant until I told him I wouldnt be getting the almost $1,000 worth of work he said needed to be done. That was the beginning of the end. One of the many things he told me to do (an oil change) was unnecessary. My husband had just changed the filters and oil last month. Mike said that the "sticker" said I needed an oil change which means they couldnt have checked. I asked him to make a list of the things I needed along with the prices and I would take a look. I asked him to leave the list. You know he didnt and never mentioned it again. The two recalls that were done seemed fine for about a day. Then the engine light came on and the car started to run very rough. The car was running fine before I took it to their dealership. One of the recalls was supposed to fix the engine sensor light. I called and told him the car was running very rough and the engine light came back on and wouldnt go off. He made me wait another week because he said they didnt have any appointments. Finally, I brought it in at 8:00 a.m. yesterday and left the car. I called back twice. The first time at 12:00 and they hadnt looked at the car and then again at 4:00. He said he hadnt heard anything back from the mechanics. When I got there at 5:00 he tells me, You have to bring it back. No, Im sorry for the inconvenience no explanation. I wish I had followed my first instinct and not used them. I will read reviews more carefully in the future. Im taking my car to Stamford, CT where they have a 4.9 star rating and LOANER cars. I would STRONGLY SUGGEST not using this dealership. I also advised a co-worker who was looking for a Hyundai not to use them or White Plains for that matter and go to CT. Im also going to send a letter to their corporate office in CA. BEWARE!

We were in the process of leasing my daughters first car and after visiting the showroom as well as other dealers, we had received a call back from the Salesman (Javier Cano) and decided to go back to the showroom and lease a car through Rockland Hyundai. It was a pleasure dealing with him as well as the Finance Department.
"Great Experience - As Good As You Could Hope For"
Salesperson, Gervais Cambridge was knowledgeable, pleasant, not at all pushy or hard-selling. My wife and I (the car is for her) test drove 4 vehicles over a 3-visit/3-day period. In between we visited another Hyundai dealer on Rt.17. The Rt. 17 salesman seemed to have little-to-no interest in even putting us in a car for a drive. Gervais was pleasant, accommodating, and welcoming; he explained the various features to us in as much detail as we could mentally digest. It has been 10 years since we bought a new car and suffice to say, the features now - even "basic" ones - are pretty impressive. We worked with the finance people to an agreeable deal - paid well within the range we desired, and a week later - we are very happy with the car in every way. We made a good purchase, got a good value and overall had a good experience. The sales manager, Fausto, was also very good and friendly in his dealings with us each time we visited. I would (and have) recommended the dealership, and particularly our salesman to other people we know who are considering a similar purchase.

When we arrived we were immediately greeted at door by Juan Perez. My mother was looking to trade in her lease early. He helped us do that with no more than what she had agreed to put down and lowered her payments. We will definetly be back in 3 years for a trade in.

I leased a new santa fe and this car is much better than I expected. Very happy with the vehicle...which makes up for the mediocre dealership. Small facility but sufficient. My salesperson Juan took care of us. We went for a nice long test drive and he answered most of my questions with ease. We went next to closing time on the weekend but they stayed until we could make a deal. Too much waiting around and back and forths with management but acceptable. The only real issue I had was the finance guy. He was a very nice guy but seemed very sneaky. Although my first months payment and 2 full years of oil changes were agreed upon with salesman and management, the guy kept getting me to pay for it again. Made me feel like he was un-trustable. This is not good for a finance guy. These are the small things that give car dealers a bad name. Again, great car but I have had better experiences buying or leasing.

I had the most wonderful experience from beginning to end. Everything was perfect. First dealing with Liana, on the phone and online, extremely pleasant. As soon as I arrived at the dealership, was met by salesman Jeff Price, who was extremely patient, and made sure I understood everything about the new Sonata I was leasing. I loved my old Sonata, so I wanted to lease another. Jeff Price was five star salesman, and then I dealt with Lisa in Finance. Again, a five star person to deal with. I consider myself so lucky to have picked Rockland Hyundai, and I strongly recommend anyone who goes there, you are treated like a person, and as if you are the only one there. You get one on one treatment.

I was impressed at the professionalism and felt like a valued customer .last 2 dealers were shocked and insisted on financing or would raise there price and wouldnt honor the internet posted price because i wanted to pay in cash for a 2013 kia sportage sx fully loaded with low mileage and this dealer had a better price on the same exact vehicle and honored the price and went below posted price to have me as a satisfied buyer ! Would recommend to family and friends !

bought my first car in 2013 Sonata limited has a nice experience so my husband went to them for his car. He FIRST bought the Elantra the wheels were thin and did not last due to all the pot holes in NY. Went back to ask if we could have the 16 inch instead of the 17 inch because we lost 4 tires and a rim. Dealership would not work with us. One salesman said to me I need to learn to communicate with my husband better and then when hanging up said THIS IS WHY I HATE DEALING WITH WOMEN! Well contact corporate and went back exchanged the Elantra for a Sonata Hybrid. Ok that was handled. Since we like the cars I went back brought my leased Sonata Limited for a 2015 Sonata Limited which is a loan. Now 3 weeks ago I get a message on my car that the computer control system is not working and to bring it in to the dealership. I was given the run around about finding parts and was told I would not have my car back until April. While we were dropping of my car, my husband left his for an oil change. Since there were to many cars in the bays my husbands car was damaged by the dealership. Yes they gave me a loaner for free and the owner said it would 2-3 days for my husband car and he would expedite the repair. Now we are told it is going to be 10 days or longer for them to repair the damage they caused. I have called corporate, Hyundai International and they found the parts for my car not the dealership!!! I am totally appalled with the treatment we are getting let alone the run around. We have a disabled child and now we have NO CARS TO DRIVE!!!!! Still waiting for delivery confirmation on the parts from corporate.

I have to admit that this was our first experience buying a pre-owned vehicle from a dealership, so we were a bit skeptical...but not to worry. I am happy to say that our sales associate Joan Rivas and store manager Tristan George went out of their way to make purchasing a car from Rockland Hyundai a smooth process. They worked with us to find the best car for our daughter and which would also fit our budget. They were both very patient with our questions and found solutions to our concerns. We are now the proud owners of a beautiful Hyundai!
