I bought a used 2014 Jeep Cherokee at Don Whites. First and most importantly, the Cherokee looks new with no signs of previous use. In my experience, this is more the exception than norm. When you shop for a used car, often there are some signs of wear. I looked over the interior and the exterior of the jeep, in particular the tires, and it was in great shape. It was classified as Jeep Certified, so I assume they carry a higher standard of quality and assurance. The dealership was great. Honestly, buying a car is almost never a "perfect experience". The consumer wants everything: the best vehicle with all the options at the lowest possible price. The dealer wants to make some money and still keep the customer happy. Its never easy for everyone to feel like they won and as a consumer, isnt that part of the battle? You want to love your new car and let everyone know you mastered the negotiation process. The staff at Don Whites did a good job with the process. The staff is professional and courteous and not at all pushy. They will work with you. Another great feature with a purchase from Don Whites are the lifetime oil changes. These days, we are talking $50 a visit to Jiffy Lube, so this is a nice perk. They also do car washes, which again, adds up over time when going to automatic car washes. In summary, I recommend Don Whites. You will not get ripped off, thanks to access to the vast amount of resources available on the internet. They know you know what a fair price is. The rest comes down to what else the dealer offers and most importantly, when buying a used car, what condition is it in? My new has been great and I would buy it again there.

I dropped off my jeep at night drop with no scheduled appointment. It needed a flush of power steering lines and tire check. Typically Ive never been the one to write bad reviews however I felt the need that I had too after my experience at this location. I emailed this dealership inquiring about their 2012 Chrysler 300 Srt8. Im really big on reviews because I want to purchase a car from a trustworthy company! We discussed the pricing over the phone. I emailed the rep back explaining him that Im interested in the vehicle but is there anything we can do on the monthly payment and if so Id be willing to come in that evening to purchase. The whole afternoon goes by and no response so I decided to go in today(Saturday March 5, 2016). The dealership was 120 miles round trip. I was approached by the same rep as soon as I pulled into the lot. Looked at the car and took it for a drive. Car was very nice. Came back in and discussed the terms. This is where everything went down hill. I explained to the rep Im ready to purchase if he can work on the monthly rate. He brings me paperwork discussing how this manager went out of his way to provide me with the deal that was practically the same once you do all the math. Keep in Mind that I completely understand that they are running a business and theres rules and regulations to everything however that should never change the way you approach a customer. The sales manager Nick Campagna came to the desk with a very aggressive approach. He pulls out my credit report and indirectly insult how my credit is not comparable to the average customer. Again, I explained to him that I understand and that I would really appreciate if there is anything else that can be done, instead of providing the excellent service a business is suppose to offer he pulls his hand out in an attempt of a handshake indirectly telling me to leave. As I see his hand out, I realized what his intentions were. I got out of my seat by this time, Nick slapped his hand on the desk, not sure why. Maybe because he wanted me to shake his hand and leave? I didnt want to leave without the car but after his unprofessional gestures I figured its best I dont do business with a company thats more concerned about sales than the customers experience. Im assuming maybe this is just how he deals with all his customers After spending an 90 minutes to get there I felt extremely disrespected by the way he handled the situation. I completely understand he needs to follow what the banks says yet theres a way to approach a customer. After all you have a customer thats ready to purchase!! After the uneasy feeling I got I left with my friend in a hurry not realizing I left with the keys of their vehicle. I get a call within 20 minutes of my drive home stating I might have taken the keys with Me. I replied back saying I did and went back to the lot to return them. When I pulled up I was approached by the same rep. Explained to him that I didnt like the approach Nick attempted. It was rude, shady and extremely unprofessional. I asked the rep for Nicks position and the rep replied "Im not a snitch." A snitch?! When someone implies theyre not a snitch, that right then and there makes everything look EXTREMELY SHADY!! I knew at this point this was not where I plan on ever doing business ever.

Purchased a 2012 Ford Escape with very low mileage in early August 2014. Found the dealership and car through the internet (was looking for a specific car - color, mileage etc). Called and talked to Anthony who was very helpful. I am from out of town and was passing through Baltimore. Anthony had the car ready to look at and test drive when I arrived. The price was very reasonable, the car was in excellent condition with any minor concerns (a very small ding in the hood) pointed out without having to ask. Drove the car home (400 miles) without incident (as one would expect, but you never know). Weve had it now for almost two weeks and are very pleased. They offer lifetime oil changes and tire rotation which I will not be able to take advantage of as Im too far away, but it made me feel more comfortable that they plan to have a relationship with me and the car I purchased. After searching the internet for a new truck, I decided t give Don Whites a try after being a customer of Heritage for many years. I had seen an advertised price on the internet and traveled over to look at the vehicle. Jason met me in the parking lot and was very helpful in locating the vehicle. Due to snow, I decided to come back the next day to test drive it and discuss terms. After the normal sales pitch, Jason returned with the sales manager, Nick. Again I got the "this is the best I could do" even though the price was considerably more than the advertised internet price. After some discussion, Nick said "I can see that you are not ready to bite the bullet and buy a truck" in an insulting and insolent manner. Really? Why was I there then? I had my checkbook ready but was totally turned off by his comments. I left without a truck. Jason called me back the next day and apologized and I again gave him the figure I could afford. The truck that I was told no possible way to had suddenly become available at my price point. I returned on Saturday and consummated the deal. Bill in the business office was extremely helpful with the financing. and a small mistake in the paperwork. I had mentioned to him the incident with Nick and how I had overheard one of the other sales managers telling a customer at the other end of the showroom "So you are calling me a liar"?. Bill addressed this issue right away but I feel that their sales managers need to learn how to talk with potential customers. I will not go back to Whites for this reason although Jason Price (the salesman) was fine to deal with.

I was doing some idle research when I discovered my current vehicle had an incident in its history of which I was unaware. Since it was going to be out of warranty coverage soon, I became more motivated to get into a new vehicle. I worked at quite a few dealerships but was unable to work out a deal that fit my needs and budget. Two separate Heritage locations as well as Jones and Musselmans spent a lot of time working on trying to get a sale, but none could get to the monthly payment I needed, mostly due to low offers on my trade and financing that was not low enough. The vehicle sale price at the dealerships was similar, though only Jones and Don Whites had enough inventory of the Journey to even come close. Where Don Whites did best, was in offering more for my trade, as well as being more aggressive in shopping my credit for financing. Jones came close, but instead of putting in more legwork to find me the credit I needed, they asked me to check with some credit unions and other banks. With my work and parenting schedule, I did not have the time to do so. Don Whites on the other hand, did a lot of contact over the internet, allowing much of the preliminaries to get done ahead of time, so that when we went to the dealer, we knew we were really close on the deal and managed to get the numbers to work. There were very few issues, with one being the lack of satellite radio on the vehicle delivered. We test drove one but did not like the color and the one we settled on had just come off the truck and still had its packing materials so we did not drive it. Scott, our salesperson went over the functions of the Sirius XM system, only to discover after delivery that our vehicle did not have it. The dealership also forgot to give us our registration necessitating an extra trip back to the dealership. Those were annoyances, but not major ones, and the lack of satellite radio was not something we were looking for really. Kudos to Scott and Buddy for following up and making it right by offering to top off my tank next time I was in the area. I would have preferred not to have had any issues, but I can respect a dealership that admits a mistake and takes effort to mitigate its impact. This is our second car from Don Whites and the buying experience was much better than 14 years ago, in addition to being better than most experiences at any dealer.

I contacted this dealership about a fantastic deal / certain car on cars.com, and they were quick to respond. I advised that I was located out of town (45 miles away), and wanted to make sure that I could buy the car before I made the trip. Unfortunately, as soon as I made plans to meet the salesman, they called and told me the car was sold. I checked their stock on line and found another (similar) car available, but it was about $3,500 higher, and they were not even willing to talk about a possible discount over the phone. Although they advised that they would help me find a similar car from another Chrysler dealership, they eventually blew me off. I doubt the deal they were advertising on cars.com even existed; it was probably a ploy to get sales traffic. I went to Don White’s to buy a Chrysler 300. The staff introduced me to Rob Marsteller, who patiently worked with me as he introduced me to all the features of the various models and through 2 test drives. I decided on one particular model, and when we went to take care of the paperwork, he explained to me the benefits of buying the car new as opposed to getting it used, and in doing my own evaluation, I had to agree with him. A car is the second most valuable investment a person will make in their lifetime, and I’m glad Rob was patient with me while I took many variables into consideration. Negotiated a deal with a sales person who couldnt be present for the signing, so he passed it on to another person to fill in. Second sales person had no idea what was negotiated and started with a different price than the first, and was advertised. Moved on to telling me to "leave off" some information on a rebate qualifier, so that I could "technically" qualify, even though he knew I didnt. Stuck around to hear more, only to be told Id have to provide additional false information on a college degree (was told to get someone to write me a letter saying I was about to graduate) to qualify. If youre the type of person with no ethics or integrity, this dealer is perfect - they can get into a new car by lying to Chrysler to get you more cash allowances/rebates. If you have any sense of honesty, youll be throwing up after 10 minutes.

I bought my jeep wrangler less then two year ago. It has developed the death shake. I took it in for service. They charged me to even look at it then would not fix it coming up with a bunch of excuses. They lost my keys then tried to just shoo me away. Not even willing to explain to me why it was not covered under my warranty. They will be hearing more from me. Awful do not buy or go there for anything

A waste of time...Cant make a purchase on something they cant find on the lot!!!!! my goodness TWO weeks later the website STILL has the car listed for sale (now knowing ITS NOT THERE) such a shame- the employees have NO CLUE what cars are available yet THEY are the ones SELLING the cars!!! Save face and take your business elsewhere.
