The five-passenger Touareg is an all-new midsize SUV from Volkswagen. Designed to provide both excellent handling on pavement and a high level of off-road ability, the Touareg, despite its unibody design, is a real SUV, not a soft-roader. By hawk - September 2 - 9:20 pmStill love the truck after 5 years owning it. Only 2nd set of tires with a lot of tread left after 75000 mi. 1st set of tired was replaced at 48000mi. Still original brake. Replaced battery at 70000mi. One annoying issue was airbag light lit after my wife adjusted driver seat. Check engine light was lit once for no reason but cleared after a visit to the dealer. didnt come back for 2yr but lit again last week. beautiful interior (better than my BMW 5 and MB E class), fit and finish is top notch. gas mileage is poor but not so bad for a performance SUV. feel very safe driving it, great road manner, very solid, no rattling, no loose parts. took to the beach played sand, a very fun SUV.

By Eurofan - July 20 - 10:00 amI was hesitant to trade in my 00 Discovery II but after I saw and drove my new Touareg I told them to take old yeller out back and get it over with. Awesome car, I havent been this excited about anything in years. Im even thinking of getting rid of my Boxster!

By Filo - June 7 - 10:00 amI feel very sorry for the people who grossly overpaid for the Cayenne, X5, and ML 500. The Touareg is an incredible car for an even more incredible value. It features the chassis of Porsche and the engine and interior styling of Audi. Quite simply, it is the best SUV out there. This is just the beginning of great things to come from Volkswagen!

This car is even more awesome than they make it look. I have the V6 at high altitude and it definelty has the power to do almost anything youll want it to do! I havent even began to push it near its limits and it keeps taking everthing I throw its way!

By ChrisCichocki - June 1 - 2:00 amThis vehicle is practically unbeatable - assuming you have the V8 and air suspension option. The ride is smooth and unbelievably quiet, and the V8 gives you TONS of power to accelerate. And its a 6 speed automatic so all the power is easily reachable when you hit the pedal. I test drove the Toyota Highlander, Nissan Murano, Buick Rendezvous, Lexus RX300, BMW X5, Mercedes M500, Volvo XC90 T6, Porsche Cayenne S, Range Rover, Cadilac SRX, Acura MDX and Infinty FX45 (as well as a bunch of 30- 50K sedans) and I love the Touareg the most.
