The five-passenger Touareg is an all-new midsize SUV from Volkswagen. Designed to provide both excellent handling on pavement and a high level of off-road ability, the Touareg, despite its unibody design, is a real SUV, not a soft-roader. Alongside that, buyers can look forward to beautifully furnished cabins equipped with plenty of standard convenience and safety features.

  We test drove a Porsche Cayenne in March 2003. It was a good compromise for my husbands dream car and the practicality of a growing family. However, we knew the Toureg would be released soon. We are glad we did because we virtually have the same car as a Cayenne S for $20,000 less! My husband still has a Porsche on his dream car list -- just now hes back to a car for mom & dad someday. . . .

  This is the most impressive SUV on the market and it provides the most features for the money. Power of the V8 is phenomenal (not to mention the exhaust note), interior design and build-quality are top-notch (no other SUV comes close), exterior design is gorgeous...I can go on and on. :-)

  its a good and fun car to drive; it performs very well. the only thing that it could be better is the fuel mileage.

  Hnadles well, love the performance. Girls love this vehicle. i love this vehicle. And the fuel isnt bad for the type of car it is!

  This car is amazing. The drivability is similar to my three BMWs and it is a truck! Very little is compromised in this package--it tows 7700lbs, has plenty of hp (310) and drives smooth as silk with performance to match. So far Ive been enjoying everything I expect from a German car. Wunderbar!

  Could not have bought a better suv in my opinion. The gas milage is no that great but everything else makes up for it. The leg room in the rear seat is quite roomy, I had three big adults sit in the back and they were all comfortable. Highly recommend!

  Build quality and materials are on par or better than Mercedes Benz, Rover, BMW, et al. The appointments are first rate; everything has the feel, look and action of quality. The performance on and off road surpass or equal the mighty Rover and Mercedes, with on/off road handling surpassing both. The powerful V8 engine is so smooth and quiet one must check the tachometer for engine idle.

  A very comfortable drive with plenty of driving features. Navigation computers can require alot of attention to initially learn. recommend someone take at least 1 hour in there driveway and fiddle with the navigation system

  MY TOUAREG IS RESPONSIVE ... HAS EASE OF HANDLING. FEELS LIKE HAVING CONTROL OF A CAR WHEN IN REALITY ITS 6000 LBS OF A WELL BUILT TRUCK. VISIBILITY IS EXCELLENT. GREAT ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND FINISH IS OBVIOUS. AESTHETICALLY PLEASING TO THE EYE. GERMAN ENGINEERING AT ITS FINEST. VOLKSWAGEN SHOULD BE PROUD ... VERY PROUD! I AM A PROUD OWNER AND AM OFTEN REMINDED OF THAT WHEN I FIND MYSELF GIVING IMPROMPTU DEMONSTRATIONS/DISCUSSIONS TO CURIOUS STRANGERS. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK VW.
