  • Start Saving Money and Have Fun - 2008 Toyota Yaris

I bought the Yaris as a commuter. My Dodge Hemi Pickup now is my "utility" vehicle for trips and weekends. The Yaris has completely surprised me; not only am I saving $200+ per month on gas, I am really enjoying driving it. I have the bare bones model; power nothing, not even a radio. It is amazingly peppy and handles great. It it totally simple and utilitarian, yet safe and fun. Theyre hard to find in some areas, so start looking now.

  • Finally, a car you can love - 2008 Toyota Yaris

Ive had it a week and I like it more every day. Fantastic for anyone who has to commute, great on gas, comfortable, and cute, cute cute. A joy to drive, handles well, and has everything I need. No money wasted on un-needed stuff, just good basic value. I plan to stick with this one.

  • Never thought I would like a compact - 2008 Toyota Yaris

I always had SUVs or mid-size sedans and thought I would never get stuck in a compact as small as the Yaris. I did so, for the mileage only. After driving it for a week, I love it. The stress of paying at the pump is gone. Before my daughter saw the car, she suggested that I get tint, so people wouldnt see me. After I got it, she thought it was pretty cool. I went to a major public event, when I came driving out of the parking lot and my window was down, people walking by started asking me questions, about the car. All the other cars in the lot were Mercedes and BMWs. It seemed as if everyone was more impressed with the Yaris. I havent paid so little for a vehicle, since 1980.

  • Great MPG for half price of Hybrid - 2008 Toyota Yaris

I bought this for MPG but got so much more. Great stereo also plays MP3. I am getting 37 city & 46 highway because I drive really S L O W. If I wanted to, I could cruise at 80 miles per hour in silence & comfort & still get great MPG. Absolutely nothing to complain about after 4 months. Quality of construction is like a Rolex. I am so lucky to save so much money with the purchase & mileage. I expect for gas to hit $6 per gallon or more & I am so lucky to be ready.

  • The best car you can buy for the money! - 2008 Toyota Yaris

Weve only had this car for a week, but we already love it! Its very comfortable and extremely economical. We went almost 100 miles before it moved from the full mark. Weve driven almost 200 miles now and still have 3/4 of a tank of gas. Handling is great, and it has a tire pressure monitoring system. Controls are laid out logically and are easy to operate. Air conditioning will put icicles on your nose! The center gauges are different and take a little time to get accustomed to, but are nice. One word of warning, it doesnt feel like youre going 70 mph, so watch your speed. Great overall car with lots of personality.

  • Great Car - 2008 Toyota Yaris

Overall the car was one of the best investments I have ever made. The fuel economy was excellent and the small design is misleading. The interior is very roomy. Wonderful car.

  • Buy one today!!! - 2008 Toyota Yaris

This car is the total package. Excellent mpg (41 in the WV mountains), great visibility, great driver position, comfortable seats, well placed controls and gauges, plenty of torque, smooth ride, lots of rear seat room with the back seat slid back, and oh so cute. I am 64" and 280lbs and I have more leg, head, and hip room than I need. It hugs the curves so well that you will go much faster than you should. I have owned SUVs that cost triple and I didnt like them as much. You better buy one now before the price skyrockets.

  • Worth it. - 2008 Toyota Yaris

I bought this car brand new and I must say I have not been disappointed. For $13,500 there is no way I could have gotten a better new car than this. It is fun to drive (had a 00 Volvo before this) and you get great gas mileage. Makes great U-turns and I can actually parallel park with this car. As far as built quality, well that is where it really could do better. Too much cheap plastic and the inside cloth on the drivers door is fading for some reason. As far as reliability goes, I see it lasting forever. Ive put 17K miles on it and have done only the oil changes.

  • Great, love it - 2008 Toyota Yaris

I just bought my Yaris 2dr to avoid the high gas prices and am thrilled to date. I have put 800 miles on the vehicle so far and have averaged 35+ mpg in mixed driving (25% city/75% hwy). I am 64", 280 and have more than enough room, actually pretty comfortable for a car in this class. As a matter of fact it is really roomy in front as a friend (my size) and I commuted around the DC area running errands and found it surpisingly comfortable for two guys our size. The Yaris does exactly what I asked of it, great mpg, more than adequate comfort; throw in snappy performance and easy driving and I am thrilled.

  • Proved me wrong - 2008 Toyota Yaris
    By -

I traded in my 04 mustang in for a Yaris at first I was unsure but due to gas prices it was a must. After owning driving this car it surprised me. This car packs a lot of PUNCH and gets good fuel economy. 3rd gear makes it fun to drive even more especially up hills. I thought this would be a boring car but it proved me wrong.
