  • Love my new Yaris!! - 2008 Toyota Yaris

I love this little car. There is more interior space than what it first appears. I had three adult passengers in it last week and all were amazed at the comfort and room. Also the gas mileage is phenomenal! I am getting between 39 and 40 miles per gallon, mixed driving - highway and city. I have no complaints thus far. Ive had my Yaris for a month now. It replaced my Saturn Vue V-6 AWD which only got 18 miles per gallon. I am saving a ton of money on gas.

I have never owned a Toyota, all Chevrolets except my latest which is a Jeep. I bought the Yaris to park my Chevy truck because gas was killing me. Roomy car appears small until you sit in it. Very peppy and fun to drive with the manual transmission. I am thoroughly impressed.

This car is fun to drive and handles well. I dont suggest pulling out in front of any cars, it does not have a lot of get up and go power. The look is good the ride is nice. I am only getting 30 mpg in city driving, would like to have seen a little better.

  • 2008 Yaris - great gas mileage - 2008 Toyota Yaris

I have only had the auto 10,000 miles since February. Great gas mileage, I have gotten over 40 MPG. Great initial quality, No problems. Have only had 1 oil change to date, that and gas and it is good to go. GREAT CAR, best bang for the buck.

  • Loving the fuel mileage - 2008 Toyota Yaris

My wife and I really enjoy our Yaris S 5-speed. The lowest mileage weve gotten is 44 and the highest almost 49. Have driven it nearly 7000 troublefree miles and are impressed with the ride and quietness for such a small relatively inexpensive car. There is plenty of passenger room and the trunk is amazingly large.

I have 1200 miles so far. Fuel economy is 39 to 41 mpg, mixed driving. Storage space is great, handling & comfort is great - I have found no downside to this car. 5 speed is smooth as silk. All the controls are easy to reach & you have full control of your choices. No computer changing things for you. Feels roomy inside, seats are firm & comfortable - air conditioner vents have full range control. Everything is easy to use & easy to reach. Buy this car for fun, buy it for economy or both. I am 61 - this car makes me smile. Change nothing on it.

  • Better Than a Prius - 2008 Toyota Yaris

My Yaris gets 42 mpg on average and no problems. I have 20k miles on the car. The bad thing about the car is my wife loves it so much because its fun to drive, carries all her stuff, its zippy around town, easy to park and she looks great in it. I have to plan the time when I can use it. We are purchasing a 2009 5 door in January.

Until I got to the dealership, I had never heard of a Yaris. 2 hours and much test driving later, I would not have bought anything else! The interior space and comfort are incredible for this size of vehicle. I love the extra room with the fold down rear seat. Better gas mileage was my ultimate goal. After feeding a Trailblazer every 5 or 6 days I am looking forward to seeing the gas pumps 2 times per month! Excellent vehicle that I have an will continue to recommend!

Have had it for 2 days and love it. Wanted it solely for mpg, so bells & whistles were not a necessity. Its just plain fun to drive. Parks like a dream (no depth perception so thats important), feels bigger than it is, good interior room, shifts great, acceleration is good, great Toyota a/c, thought dashboard design would be awkward - not, will be a great commuter car (70 miles a day). Other subcompacts have similar mpg & more base options but are more money, If you can find one, buy it, most bang for $.
