Solid Commuter - 2007 Toyota Yaris
By Aunit - October 27 - 4:23 amThe Yaris is all about cheap, reliable transportation and on that it delivers. I have seen well over 45mpg in mostly highway driving. I have had no reliability issues, all components work as advertised. The only issue I have had was that I was reversed into in a parking lot and the bumper cover cracked which may have been avoided but Toyota did not fit USDM cars with foam bumper absorbers (the parts under the cover, its essentially hollow under there). Canadian and Japanese cars have them.

Gas guzzlers to this? - 2007 Toyota Yaris
By albee213 - July 25 - 12:19 amI own to many gas guzzlers that are getting old and contant repairs or $70 fillups twice a week and just decided to look at something more effiecient. I found a 07 Liftback with 23k on the odo. Yeah it has nothing but AC but its actualy fun to drive and looks good. I plan on doing a few minor mods to it like installing some insulation under the carpet and doors to reduce noise levels, it isnt too bad but the doors sound very flimsy when you shut them and maybe cruise control. Its powerful enough and I have been running different grades of gas to find the sweet spot, running regular I could hear just a slight tick, running mid grade has made the engine silky smooth. I average 35 mpg.

37 Miles to the gallon - 2007 Toyota Yaris
By pwrbrain78 - July 17 - 9:53 pmI am very analytical and chose my Yaris based on reviews and talking with Toyota employees and a lot of research. I have found the car to be extremely well built and have literally had no problems with it, (knock on wood). The warranty just ran out so we will see if it does stand the test of time. I was driving quite far everyday and driving about 70/30 highway and getting (even w/ the A/C on) about 36-37 mpg with the Yaris and its an automatic. I am a bit of a lead foot too. So I would recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable, efficient and cost effective car. Keep it maintained and it should last no problem.

Very happy with the Yaris - 2007 Toyota Yaris
By CHCkid - April 23 - 7:16 amI bought the Yaris a year ago after my 97 Monte Carlo broke down and decided it wasnt worth fixing. The Yaris is rather comfortable and is very easy to maneuver. It looks really small on the outside but its actually roomy on the inside. I drive at least 30 miles a day to and from school and the gas mileage is incredible and the comfort of the seats are great. The Yaris does not perform well during wintery and icy conditions. The car heats up relatively quick during winter months.

Watch out for rust - 2007 Toyota Yaris
By Sarah - March 7 - 11:39 pmI owned this car for 2 1/2 years and put about 130K on it. It was a great little car but I had to get rid of it because the bottom completely rusted out. Engine was still in great shape after 200K miles. Peppy accelerating up hill- not like other small cars Ive owned (flooring it and creeping up the hill at 50 mph on the highway!) Definitely invest in some undercoating if you live up north like me.

By stephanie - July 16 - 3:30 pmIve had this car for 2 years now, and all Ive had to do is change the oil. Ive put 32k miles on it. I used it for delivery driving for a while. It was great. I pretty much love everything about this car. I do miss not getting the power package. I get usually 28-37 mpg on average. I love driving it around town!

I Like My Toyota Yaris - 2007 Toyota Yaris
By Greg Warmoth - July 14 - 1:06 pmMy Yaris is the 2 door hatchback, red with the 1.5 liter engine. It drives nice and smooth with little road noise. It seats 5 but more like 4. Dont expect to haul a lot of baggage but this is more for the commuters than hauling anything. Fuel economy is around 39 on the road, about what Toyota shows it at. The stereo is simple but works well. The gauges are in the middle of the dash so if anyone doesnt like the instruments being to their right to look at the speedometer than this wouldnt be the car for you. This is an economy car, no bells and whistles, but its reliable at a cheaper price. Price of the car and gas mileage.

Beware of inherent problems - 2007 Toyota Yaris
By Lonnie Thibodeaux - June 28 - 5:16 pmOnly fairly fun to drive. Dissatisfied with the way it is affected by slight wind which destabilizes the car. The steering wheel is to short and the car reguires constant redirection to maintain a straight path. As an owner of a Yaris, I would not recommend it.

A Quality Vehicle - 2007 Toyota Yaris
By DolphinRyan39 - November 6 - 10:10 amThe Toyota Yaris S Sedan is a stylish, reliable, and fuel economic vehicle. For all it has to offer, along with its highly reasonable price, I recommend it to anyone.

OK car, but good value - 2007 Toyota Yaris
By TommyG - October 11 - 12:30 pmThis car is priced reasonably, so you cant put too high of expectations on it. Its engine power is adequate, though not impressive. Road noise is quite high. So is the engine noise. It seems to be well-built, though we had a plastic engine compartment cover fall off of the bottom of the vehicle a few months after we got it. The snow level was fairly high, and since the car sits low, the snow probably pulled it off. Id consider it a design flaw. The Toyota technician said it was a common problem, but refused to replace it under warranty. The MPG isnt what it was originally rated. We have managed to get 40 mpg, but usually get about 30 (some highway, some city)
