Overview & Reviews
An old nameplate makes a comeback. The 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser is a new SUV that takes the philosophy of Toyota's old compact but tough off-roader and adapts it to meet the demands of the 21st-century consumer.
- Superior off-road ability, comfortable and supportive front seats, retro styling that captures the spirit of the original.
- Limited visibility fore and aft, rear-seat entry hindered in spite of reverse-opening doors.

Extremely Fun to Drive! - 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
By Tyree326 - December 23 - 4:23 amLove the utility of this vehicle. Was not looking for a luxury car with electric seats, heated seats, moonroof, etc. Toyota has done a great job with this one. Lots of head room and great for either city driving or off-roading. Averaging around 20 MPG between city and highway driving. Smoothest automatic transmission Ive ever driven! Anxiously awaiting a diesel option so I decided to lease. I chose the the Black Cherry FJ.

It is so much fun to drive! - 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
By Back9 - December 19 - 5:30 pmIt is fun to look at and drive. On and off road! It is my everyday vehicle and I would estimate 20 miles to gallon on my TRD FJ with Automatic. I have driven everything from a pinto to a lexus and for me this is the best vehicle I have ever owned. I am hard to please these days and Toyota did a good job building the FJ just for me. I guess its ok if they sell one to you too. :)

ordered and paid before id ever seen it - 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
By zigsvoodooblue - November 18 - 9:36 amThis thing is so cool. Id have never bought an SUV or a Toyota if not for the FJ Cruser. I saw it as a concept and have been waiting for it. Im 62" and this is the first car Ive ever had where i didnt feel like i was pressed against the windshield. Its great on the highway, cruises comfortably at 100+mph, handles well, is quiet and easy to park. Best factory sound system ive ever heard.

Utility is Back - 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
By fjaddict - November 14 - 11:56 pmI was tired of all automatic, highly refined car-like SUVs that you could not dare get dirty. FJ is just what the doctor ordered: it is rugged, rubberized on the interior and built for utility all the way around. It is outstanding off-road. I take it on trails when I go on photo expeditions and camping with my kids. It is well- mannered on the roads and proves to be a fun commuter as well. In short, this truck does an exceptionally good job on and off the road. Of course it has lots of plastic and rubber; it is built for utility. Blind spots everyone keeps talking about have not been a problem; paring sonar and side mirrors do a good job of fixing all that. I love my FJ!

Love It! - 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
By Terry - October 26 - 10:16 amMy black FJ has been a real head turner. I am constantly being stopped and asked about how I like it and its fun to watch people crane their necks to get a better look as I drive by. Surprisingly smooth ride for an off- road vehicle. It has the tight, sturdy build that you expect from a Toyota. Lots of power, it passes with ease. Front seats feel very roomy, though the back seats are a bit short on leg room. There are only two small rear passenger windows which do not open, giving it a tank-like feel back there. But who cares, Im driving. All told, a fabulous package of quality, style and versatility at a great price. Toyotas hit a home run with this one.

Driving a Great Concept - 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
By DOC - October 24 - 4:46 pmWhat a great SUV. My 2 wheel drive gets a decent (average) 20+MPG. The ride is quiet and the FJ has a lot of PEP. You can cruise at 65 MPH and pass too. The V6 is a real high level engine. Fit and finish is top notch. Everyday someone wants to check out my FJ. This is the most excitement Toyota has come up with to date. Its like youre driving a concept car.

Awesome Vehicle! - 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
By Dave - August 26 - 5:50 pmLots of fun to drive. I love the way this truck looks and it is built with excellent Toyota quality. We purchased the 6 speed manual which has full time 4WD. We live on a ski mountain and encounter fairly extreme weather, including very slippery icy roads. It goes through rough terrain very smoothly - a joy to drive.
