This Year's Model Updates:

An old nameplate makes a comeback. The 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser is a new SUV that takes the philosophy of Toyota's old compact but tough off-roader and adapts it to meet the demands of the 21st-century consumer.

Pros:
  • Superior off-road ability, comfortable and supportive front seats, retro styling that captures the spirit of the original.
Cons:
  • Limited visibility fore and aft, rear-seat entry hindered in spite of reverse-opening doors.

Love the FJ, but has some blind spots while driving on and off road.

  • It loves to go off-road - 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

This thing loves to drive off-road. It goes through washboard like butter. Our other vehicle is a V8 Tundra, so at times the FJ seems slightly lacking in power. If you plan to do a moderate amount of off road driving, seriously consider the manual transmission (if you can find one). Why? One word - control. Driving this vehicle is the most fun Ive had with my clothes on. Go ahead, drive it in the dirt and mud HARD, thats what it was designed for.

There is no 4x4 sold today or in yesteryear that beats this machine! Even stock it will school most other 4x4s. Add a 3" lift, some larger tires (e.g., 33"), rock rails, an onboard 4x4 equipment, and youre ready to rock the big trails, e.g., Fordyce Creek, Rubicon, Moab. This is THE offroading vehicle of the century! Ive owned many vehicles, driven jeeps, etc., and this is the finest and funnest vehicle Ive ever owned! You can miss with this one!

  • I love my FJ! - 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

Weve only owned it for a week, but we are just thrilled with it. It had its first off-road trip 2 days ago and did extremely well. Its ride is much smoother than we would have expected from such a rugged vehicle. And its cute as all get-out!

Ive previously owned two Jeeps and then saw this vehicle and had to have it. Ive just picked it up this week and absolutely love it. Its fun to drive and has a great style to it. I think its very comfortable. I was a little worried because Im a small woman but it easily works for me! Im having a blast!

Fun vehicle to drive. Great in the snow and mountains. Plenty of room for 4 people and full ski gear. Makes a great road trip car despite 20 mpg.

This vehicle rides very comfortably considering its short wheelbase. Great seats, outstanding build quality. Unique design, has all of the items needed to take it off-road right from the dealership or it works just as good cruising the streets. Strong running V-6, smooth shifting automatic tranny. The side mirrors are your best friend. It is definitely an attention getter.

The FJ is a very roomy vehicle and is good for hauling around all kinds of things. The seats fold down very easy. I am part of a car pool and drive close to 100 miles a day and the FJ is very comfortable car for the three adults.
