  • The absolute BEST car Ive ever owned - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

This car is so much fun to drive! I came off of a big SUV and it is so nice to maneuver this baby around. Easy to park, looks like it cost much more (people usually think it is a Lexus or Mercedes) and perfect for me, a Realtor, to take clients around in as it is comfortable for them to sit in the back seat and looks expensive enough that they dont think Im not successful. Mileage is terrific -- 32 around town (LOTS of stop and go as you can imagine) and 44 hwy. I love the whine of the hybrid -- sounds so space age. The only thing to be careful of is that it is so quiet in reverse that people in parking lots dont realize your car is on and moving, so you have to watch out for them!

Bought in Jan and traded Maxima SL for Hybrid. Great mileage, excellent ride, comfortable. Only complaint, want more luxury features. Mileage is dependent on season (AC cuts it down). Got 41 mpg on long trip to CA in August. Plenty of pep for passing and rides exceptionally well. Smooth transition from electric to gas and back. Almost luxury level interior. Wish for auto seat/mirror/steering adjust from Maxima, but other than that, my wife loves it, and she hates most cars!!!

I live in Minnesota and have had my Camry Hybrid during both a warm summer and a very cold snowy winter. I averaged 39-42 MPG during the summer and 28-34 MPG during the winter. One review from ORLY said he was only getting 26-28 MPG caused me to write this review. I cant even imagine how a person could get such low MPG numbers. I have the leather heated seats, they are very comfortable on a long drive. My only complaint is I get a faint noise through my drivers window when fully closed. The stereo with the bluetooth is fantastic both in sound and function. What ever gas prices are at the time the way I look at it I have cut the price of gas in half. This car has more room than my VolvoS80.

  • The Smart Way To Move Forward - HYBRID - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

I just recently purchased a brand new Toyota Camry Hybrid and I am thrilled with the purchase! As a person who has a work commute of 70 miles round trip, I felt the need to consider a hybrid car. A quiet and smooth ride. The technology in the car is great. The dashboard indicators tell you how many miles per gallon you are averaging during the ride. It also tells you when you are using gas and when you are using battery! It definitely promotes better, safer, and more fuel efficient driving. When the car is idle, it is DEAD QUIET in the cabin. There is great pride in ownership. You are driving a car that gets great gas mileage (33-34 MPG) and helping out the environment. Aux input for my iPod!

Happy to be driving a hybrid. This a car that will not perform like a sports car but if you want to feel like you are sitting in you living room relaxing, then this is the car for you. It is the most comfortable car that I have driven. I almost got the Altima but then at the last minute I decided to check out this car - thank God I did! The leather is very plush, the interior is beautiful, especially at night when it all lights up.

  • Just do it! - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

This car is simply superb. I work in a vehicle-related field, and I have seen crash/wreck photos of Camrys - people walk away from wrecks because this car sacrifices itself to save its occupants. I was searching to replace my Jetta diesel (a maintenance intensive vehicle) but wanted to up-size from the Prius. The Camry hybrid is for those people who hate waste and love efficiency, like myself. I am a caregiver, and the Camry has enough space to allow people with disabilities the room to swing in and out of the vehicle easily (unlike the new Jetta TDI, which has a much smaller interior). My father, a solid diesel head, was sold on the Camry hybrid within thirty minutes. Simply impressive.

  • Im sold (3 times)! - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

We reluctantly bought a new 2007 Camry Hybrid after test-driving a Prius, as the frame of the Prius hatchback blocked the rear view and the seats were not comfortable. I was sure that Id be disappointed with the Camry since Id really wanted the Prius, but I was wrong; the Camry is the best car weve ever owned, and weve owned a lot of cars! We were so impressed that we have since bought a 2009 and 2011 Camry Hybrid as well, and still drive all 3. We get between 40 and 42 mpg and put about 15,000 miles a year on these cars. Most impressive is the acceleration available when passing; I feel safer in these cars than in any Ive had before.

  • Really Like It So Far - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Just bought a Sky Blue version with the upgrade package and leather added. It has really gone well so far and am pleased with the purchase. It is amazing how quiet the car can get at idle. One thing that I found difficult was the key fob. Was never sure if the door was fully locked or not. I can test it, but it shouldnt come to that. The build quality is very good, although it is definitely a step down from our Lexus RX 330. For example, I can see slight gaps between the plastic and the fabric. Overall, it is a nice looking car with excellent fuel economy and can fit the family needs.

  • Love My Toyota Camry Hybrid! - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

I am very happy with my car! Averaged 42 mpg on a trip to Seattle. Currently at 37 mpg around town. I was driving a Lincoln Continental, so size wise it was a big change. I hardly miss the big car now! Highly recommend this car. I read reviews here before my purchase.

  • Just an average car - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Upon buying this car I was so impressed with the quality of the material, the fit and finish especially the quietness of the ride. Until this last few months when the doors start to rattle and the mpg is not great enough as a hybrid, average 30 mpg.
