  • Amazing! - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

I just bought my 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid! I am so excited! This car is amazing, I love sitting at a red light and hearing nothing! No noise at all! Dead silence. I love trying to see how long I can go on the battery motor. I had mine built with specific options, leather/nav/moon roof. I also had added by the manf. (not dealer installed) side moldings, spoiler, and sat. radio. I would highly suggest getting this added by manf. not dealer. It looks great! Black on tan. I highly suggest you buy this car.

  • From the SUV to MPG - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Gas near $4 a gallon had to get rid of the 15.5 mpg SUV for better gas mileage. A great move. I do have a heavy foot and getting 34 in the city and near 38 in the highway. Purchased a fully loaded one with all of whistles and bells (leather, navigation). We love this car, it is very comfortable, roomy and quiet. Took it for a 840 mile trip with 3 adults and a 7 month old in a car seat and everyone was comfortable. I have had luxury cars before BMW 740IL and the Q45 and this car has most of the finer features wish this car had a memory seat button and I wish the trunk would open with the keyless system like the doors. If you are looking for a good looking, affordable car with good MPG this is it.

  • My first Camry Hybrid - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

I have had this car for 3 months. This car is reliable. The navigation is great. It has a spacious interior. I routinely get 38+ MPG with this car. Trunk space is limited compared to a regular Camry due to all the batteries, but I dont mind. The engine is underpowered compared to a regular Camry, but this is normal for a hybrid car. If you understand the limitations of this hybrid, you will be happy with it. I love the low fuel consumption and the infrequent trips to the gas station.

  • Love It! - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

I dearly love my hybrid 09 Camry. It had 9000 miles on it when I bought it and what fun to drive. It says I am getting 37.9 miles to the gallon. Wonderful comfort and pick up.

  • I love this car, I hate Big-brother - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid
    By -

The choice between the Camry Hybrid and all of the other hybrids (Civic, Altama, Prius, etc..) was a simple one. The Camry is very comfortable and well built. As with any Hybrid it does have trade offs. The trunk is 5 cubic feet smaller than the standard Camry, and the fold-down seats pass-through is somewhat of a joke. You may be able to fit a set of skies through it, though the odds are they would be in a sky rack. My only complaint about this car is the navigation system. I feel that Toyota is trying to play big brother by preventing you or your passenger from using the system while the car is moving. If you need to enter an address you will need to come to a complete stop first.

  • Better than the Altima - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid
    By -

I planned to purchase an Altima Hybrid based on superior reviews in Edmunds.com. However, when I test drove both vehicles, I found the Toyota Hybrid superior in almost all regards. True the Altima handled better than the Camry, but the Altima was noisy and the gas engine continously cycled in and out of operation. By comparison, the Camry is quieter, the gas engine only cycles at appropriate times and the ride is quieter than the Altima. It is clear to me that the Camry Hybrid is a more sophisticated implementation of hybrid technology.

  • A Great Automobile - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

I have owned 30+ cars in my life and this is by far the best one of all! I bought the whole "package" leather, sun roof, and nav system. My first long trip (325 miles) with only 1000 on the odometer I got a remarkable 40.1 mpg! Considering the comfort of the ride, the safety features, the fact that I was driving a 3600 lb+ auto and getting that kind of mileage, was truly impressive! Oh and did I mention that since driving it off of the lot, that I havent had a single problem!

  • A hybrid that makes saving gas a blast! - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

This is our 3rd hybrid. We owned a Honda Insight, and currently have an 04 Toyota Prius. This one has got everything we desire in a comfortable, well appointed auto, along with excellent gas mileage. The EPAs can be attained, and even passed with a bit of "hybrid driving technique". If I maintain a freeway speed of 60-62, and avoid frequent passing, I get 40-41 mpg on my daily commute. In town averages 35. The hybrid power train works as smooth as glass. Seating is supportive and comfortable. The heating/cooling system is state-of-the-art, the JBL sound system sounds superb (an option), and the navigation system is decent. This is one of those cars that just feels right from the get-go.

  • Terrible car, do not get! - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid

I have had this car for a little over a year. I got this car as my first car. I am currently 18, i got this car when i was 17. I was so excited to get a car and my dad told me i had to get this one. It worked ok for the first few months but slowly gone down hill. when the recalls came out, and they replaced the recalled items. that is when the problems had started beside from the air conditioner and heater. it smells like smoke when i turn it on, so i do not use it. it is loud and it takes off from me. i hate this car and i will never buy another Toyota and Toyota doesnt do anything and refuse to. I tried to get it as a lemon but since theyll take it not do anything, it cant go through as 1

  • First Hybrid, Second Camry - 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid
    By -

I have now driven this vehicle for approximately 10,000 miles. I bought it with all the amenities. The leather interior is top notch. It comfortably seats 4 adults. Not being a techno geek, the blue tooth was easy to set up and is crystal clear. Trunk space is small by Toyota standards, but roomy by other maker standards. The ride is smooth and quiet. Gas mileage great. Sound system and GPS are fabulous. ONE ANNOYING PROBLEM: the gas cap loosens itself and causes the check engine light to engage. I do not top off and carefully make sure the gas cap is tightly closed, but it somehow loosens! When I tighten the cap, the light will eventually turn off. Seems related to air pressure in the tank.
